The performance was awful, the technique was worse.

Result: As you can see from other posts newbies think this is proper technique. If you're going to call something a tutorial PLEASE learn how to do it properly, work on it for many years like a pro, then start making videos called "tutorials".

This is ridiculous. I've seen real magicians perform the the linking and unlinking of steel rings (large, thick steel rings) and it's nothing like this. For one thing the magician hands out the rings to be examined by people in the audience so the rings are verified to be solid, no gaps. This way you do it in your "tutorial" wouldn't fool anyone.

@779michael Seeing as this trick was originally known as the linking rings and first discovered and performed in Britain the name "Chinese Linking Rings" is actually the improper name for this trick. It is not the greatest chinese trick as it is British. Also watch the video next time and he shows only one notch as was originally performed in the linking rings only instead of four rings like the original he used 2.

You'll have to forgive me for not responding, but you didn't reply to me. Must have been afraid of my answer.

If the instructions were in a different language, then you could drop $2.95 and buy a book called 25 Tricks with the Linking Rings. If you're too cheap to pick up the booklet, you could shoot an email to the place you bought them and ask for their advice. There are a lot of ways to handle it that don't support theft.

Also, learn to use punctuation before insults someone's intelligence.
