  • My son was born with this disease in 2006. The attacking bacterium was Pneumococcal. He did survive but suffered 7 bleeds to the brain which should have meant he couldn't have open heart, but he did at 5 1/2 weeks to have his aortic valve replaced and a hole from the left venterical to the right atrium repaired. Dane isa now 4 yrs old and had his aortic valve re-replaced. Both were human donor valves. The brain damage he suffered has been minimal.

  • Please forgive my spelling as I am not all that educated in the proper Med. terms. I have left chest pain..I also present symptoms of some minor splinter hemmorrages on 2 finges and 2 toes. Stress test normal, valve footage normal..EKG normal.but my Homosystine Cardio was triple what it should be. My Cardiologyst just wants another stress test should I ask to r/o endocarditis?
