Church of Christ Singing - O I want to See Him & I Love You Lord

This is beautiful. I haven't been in it for over 50 years but to me a cappella singing is the very essence of the Church of Christ to me, even though different churches have different singing styles. Anyway I just love a cappella church singing!!!

I believe that the song leader is to start the congregation out on a song then the song leader needs to step away from the mic, because his singing is over powering the congregation. He is not an intertainer so he needs to step away from the mic and just sing along with the congregation, not sing louder than the congregation

@ella53217 So sad that you're more worried about the song leader getting carried away than anything else. Worship is supposed to be a complete and total joy. If the song leader feels joy and it reflects, that doesn't mean he is trying to "entertain". He feels the Spirit.

That's one of the reasons I left the Church of Christ--you're just not allowed to truly WORSHIP in church because it's supposed to "decently and in order".
