Just like every single car that's been made in the past 100 years, cars don't get changed until four to five years on average. The 2010 is the five year change since the 2005 Mustang, then it will be changed in 2014 or 2015.
Not sure about these new ones. Seem like they might be tryin too hard,don't know if I like the ass end on em. The older ones a little more subtle yet still tough.
I think the 2010 model looks perfect... except for the tail lights. I think if they had the 2010 model with the 04 tail lights it would be the sexiest combo

But keep in mind, Chevy's coming out with the converable camaro.
Don't like the style of the 2010. They added white to the tail light lens, put slope in the tail end by the tail lights, and changed the look of the front end. I like the style of the 05-09 Mustangs much better.

Very sharp indeed. I have a 2008 GT and really am impressed with these cars as they are very balanced . From what I read the 2010 is the class of the field. America still builds the best cars despite what others say.

I am a huge Ford fan, and even bigger mustang fan. And the new one is UGLY, I guess I will get a 05 to 09 for alot less now that there is a new release, so not a total loss. I wish they would have made a fastback or a Mach 1 or something other than this ugly car.
I think Ford should have kept the same style as the 2005-2009 Mustang but maybe keep the hump below the back-side window and kept the 2010 interior, oh and I wish they would have brought the 5.0L 400+ hp V8 for 2010. SN95's are fugly. Other than the Originals the S197's look the best, however I don't count the atrocity that is the 2010 a S197...that is just ass ugly, especially the ass end...
GM and Ford have worked to make their performance V8 engines a lot more efficient than they used to be. My '99 Trans Am would average 20 mpg in daily driving. Compared to their power potential, the engines use little of their available power in regular driving. They can use taller gearing and steeper overdrives to lower cruise rpm's.
I wish Ford would go to a 6 speed manual transmission. That could boost highway mileage a bit.

But the logical reasoning, making an engine is expensive. Takes time and testing. Would cost too much, so they will take an existing engine and plop it in...unless the car is "very" special or whatever. But they have a wide range of engines to select from, so w/e.

my gti was made in germany actually. so is the gli the r32 the r36 and any wolfsburg or farenheit edition anything. the base models of their cars are assembled in mexico though, but to german standards of quality. the only point i was trying to make is that the VR6 is much more efficient when it comes to producing both power and torque. not to mention their 5.0 produces 345 BHP and 627 ft/lbs..

well it still looks almost the same as the 05-09 so i think it was a lazy effort. in what way is the challenger better? well mustang gt has 315hp and challenger r/t has 372hp. not to mention the srt8 has 425hp plus the challenger looks like a true muscle car. the mustang doesn't have the same presence as the challenger
Challenger also has sloppy handling, and the SRT-8 is the performance version. You compare the the SRT-8 to the GT500, which turns it to 425hp against 540hp.
Looks are also objective, so you can't really use that. I do like the look of the Challenger though
I liked the look of the front of the Charger, which is the same reason I like the '10 Mustang's. We actually own a 300C, which is basically the Charger with a Luxury package.
They've bettered the Mustang with an increase in HP for the GT, 315 hp comapred to 300 hp for previous 4 yrs, and the GT 500, 540 hp to 500 hp, plus the Mustang does weigh over 200 lbs less than the Camaro so it honestly doesn't get beaten as bad as some think. Another thing to consider is that GM isn't going to produce some of the higher end Camaro's because of their finacial torubles. I'm not dissing the Camaro, I think it looks good and wouldn't mind testing one out but I'll go with the Stang

I've loved Mustangs for years, and Ford keeps improving and making me impressed. When I first saw this online, I thought it looked a little better than the last gen of Mustangs, but when I saw it in person, wow... it looks really good.
Sleaker looking, better handle, better interior, and better features makes this one of the best Muscle cars of all time.

SN95's are fugly. Other than the Originals the S197's look the best, however I don't count the atrocity that is the 2010 a S197...that is just ass ugly, especially the ass end...

GM and Ford have worked to make their performance V8 engines a lot more efficient than they used to be. My '99 Trans Am would average 20 mpg in daily driving. Compared to their power potential, the engines use little of their available power in regular driving. They can use taller gearing and steeper overdrives to lower cruise rpm's.
I wish Ford would go to a 6 speed manual transmission. That could boost highway mileage a bit.

ur right about GM but can u tell m why did they put the escalad engine in the ss v8 camaro?? (its a 6.2liter v8 427hp 6 speed transmission 0-60 in 4.7)((while the mustang has a 4.6liter 315hp 5 speed transmission 0-60 in 4.9 )) GM really fucked up this time )) am like confused right know

Gonna be honest, I don't know much about GM - But like the guy below me said. If it is indeed the corvette engine then whatever.
But the logical reasoning, making an engine is expensive. Takes time and testing. Would cost too much, so they will take an existing engine and plop it in...unless the car is "very" special or whatever. But they have a wide range of engines to select from, so w/e.
I'm just in college but yeah my 06' V6 stang has a 4.0L V6 Ranger Engine in it -_- outputting 210

my gti was made in germany actually. so is the gli the r32 the r36 and any wolfsburg or farenheit edition anything. the base models of their cars are assembled in mexico though, but to german standards of quality. the only point i was trying to make is that the VR6 is much more efficient when it comes to producing both power and torque. not to mention their 5.0 produces 345 BHP and 627 ft/lbs..

and typically a heavier engine can more than compensate for its own weight, but not if youre ford. take for example volkswagens 3.5L VR6 used in the R36 that produces just as much HP as the 4.6L V8 in the GT's
ford lacks engineering efficiency and style. the only almost good thing that they have done is the new ford sho....and even it is under powered for a TT V6....its a underdeveloped and confused rally racer

That black plastic they added to the bottom of the car looks cheap. That shit will fade and look light gray after a while. Id rather drive my 05 GT than have all that plastic to worry about. it looks cheap to me.

well it still looks almost the same as the 05-09 so i think it was a lazy effort. in what way is the challenger better? well mustang gt has 315hp and challenger r/t has 372hp. not to mention the srt8 has 425hp plus the challenger looks like a true muscle car. the mustang doesn't have the same presence as the challenger

Challenger also has sloppy handling, and the SRT-8 is the performance version. You compare the the SRT-8 to the GT500, which turns it to 425hp against 540hp.
Looks are also objective, so you can't really use that. I do like the look of the Challenger though

I liked the look of the front of the Charger, which is the same reason I like the '10 Mustang's. We actually own a 300C, which is basically the Charger with a Luxury package.

They've bettered the Mustang with an increase in HP for the GT, 315 hp comapred to 300 hp for previous 4 yrs, and the GT 500, 540 hp to 500 hp, plus the Mustang does weigh over 200 lbs less than the Camaro so it honestly doesn't get beaten as bad as some think. Another thing to consider is that GM isn't going to produce some of the higher end Camaro's because of their finacial torubles. I'm not dissing the Camaro, I think it looks good and wouldn't mind testing one out but I'll go with the Stang

no ford builds better cars then the other 2 and over all demand for ford has risen 20% which wont leave them in gm's shoes and the v6 in teh camaro has 304 horsepower but isnt fast. the v8 in the camaro isnt that much quicker then then mustang v8, theirs alot to factor in.

Looks like some Chevy guys got their hackles up. Believe it or not, but some people actually don't agree with you. We all know you like the camaro, so I request you buy one instead of putting down any and all competition. I think the mustang gt looks great, I think the camaro looks great. I'd probably go for the ford, not because I'm a ford guy (I'd really like a corvette), but it flows with me better.

I've loved Mustangs for years, and Ford keeps improving and making me impressed. When I first saw this online, I thought it looked a little better than the last gen of Mustangs, but when I saw it in person, wow... it looks really good.
Sleaker looking, better handle, better interior, and better features makes this one of the best Muscle cars of all time.
