Es interesante la música australiana, sin embargo no fue muy difundida en Bolivia, nosotros de los años 80, sólo conocemos a Midnight Oil o Icehouse, después no hubo cobertura para los de Oceanía. Saludos desde La Paz, Bolivia
As a blues man who was playing around Sydney at the same time as these guys, let me say - The Hepnotics were the POO! I defy anyone to stay still when listening to this!!!
Doesn't get much better than this...the Hepno's with Continental Robert on vocals (a blues voice to die for) and a bit of Donnie Sutherland showing his Sounds magic. Thanks for posting!
Been wondering who sings this. Have come across a lot of people who have asked the same thing. Doubt they would remember the name of the group but the song is catchy.
I had three songs that rocked around this era: Soul Kind of Feeling (Dynamic Hepnotics), Money for Nothing (Dire Straits) and Here Come the Hercules (Midnight Oil).
Great stuff, brings back memories of my teenage years. If you want to see what Conti is doing now check out the video on my site of Continental Robert's Blues Party. He's still great.
this guy was def black at some point in his life...i suspect a michael jacko type operation..theres no way this old white geezer wrote or sung this song
The Dynamic Hepnotics played at my wedding a couple of years ago and they were outstanding. They're a really cool bunch of guys with some great music and they were the icing on the cake of a wonderful day.
jesus, selinas coogee bay ,how did i survive, often left at 3am,and was laying bricks at 6.30,oh to be young again, were gona win you at waltons, dont start me off
Personally, I think that he could have made the video much better. More enthusiasm placed within the clip would have made it grand. But nether the less it is a nice song to listen to from time to time.
I actually know Robert personally, and he is an awesome guy. I been trying to talk him into doing a fresh new remix of Soul Kind of Feeling. I think it would do well.
reminds me of oxford street clubs in the 80's, I was only 15 but got into all of them. Also "Sounds" - I used to watch that every saturday morning...loved that show.
PS funny how corny his dance moves were looking back, I thought they were good back in the 80's
my girl, my girl, talking about my girl... have i got the right song?

I remember this was on in the Coffee shop during Rick/Debbie scenes and when I saw this vid... I thought "Fuck me, These blokes are white?!"
Still, Cool Tune. Just wish that this had been a single in the charts in the UK. I reckon it'd have gone top 5.

i've been looking for this song for about 15 years! (seriously).
i heard once in the early 1990s and thought it had a really kool beat.
then i heard it again about 10 years ago on the radio but i missed what the bands name was.
i did however remember more or less some of the words, so after days of searching i've finally found it.
great song!

I met Robert at a party in the 80's and I used to dance to Hepno music in Kings Cross strip clubs and occasionally we met for coffee.
Really nice guy and I wonder if he is still performing now. Deevious Dee-ella / Sexy Stiletto
