I so agree with everything you just said! Part 1 does look so intense and serious but there is also that lovely humour that we've grown to love through the films that breaks up the tension every now and then and which, ultimately, will make the film so much more dynamic and enjoyable. Wow, It's so hard to believe that the Harry Potter Saga will really be coming to an end July 2011. I think I speak for most of us Potter fans when I say that we grew up with these movies, I know I used to think the best part of Thanksgiving break from school was going to see the new Harry Potter movie and then waiting for the release of the latest book. I have read both and even though i liked twilight at the time i would not read them again. Also harry potter is read by both sexes and all ages, saying that harry potter lovers are 12 year old is ridiculous, i started harry potter when i was 7 and finished when i was 16 and i was enjoying them equally at each point of my life and can still enjoy them now. Twilight is much to targeted and and is not as well written,this is proven by the fact that hp books are some of the best selling book ever!
I'm sorry but twilight is just not in the same league as harry potter and to argue that harry potter is a childrens book and as such not as mature and sophisticated is simply ignorant. Alice in wonderland and Peter Pan are childrens books, is twilight better, more sophisticated and intelligent than them? Sexual and romantic content does not automatically qualify a book as adult and mature. Harry Potter has a much more sophisticated, complex and involved story line than Twilight.

I have read both and even though i liked twilight at the time i would not read them again. Also harry potter is read by both sexes and all ages, saying that harry potter lovers are 12 year old is ridiculous, i started harry potter when i was 7 and finished when i was 16 and i was enjoying them equally at each point of my life and can still enjoy them now. Twilight is much to targeted and and is not as well written,this is proven by the fact that hp books are some of the best selling book ever!

I'm sorry but twilight is just not in the same league as harry potter and to argue that harry potter is a childrens book and as such not as mature and sophisticated is simply ignorant. Alice in wonderland and Peter Pan are childrens books, is twilight better, more sophisticated and intelligent than them? Sexual and romantic content does not automatically qualify a book as adult and mature. Harry Potter has a much more sophisticated, complex and involved story line than Twilight.

if your underdeveloped brain has difficulty understanding the words in Harry Potter then i do suggest you keep you twilight to yourself.

I will probly cry too b/c Potter and Dumbledore r my fav wizards of all time!!! i cryed when Dunbledore was killed in the Half Blood Prince!!! Plus i cant woat to see the second half where we see Ginny and Harry have kids, And Ron and Hermione have thier kids, and sending them to Hogwarts School pf Witchcraft and Wizadry!!! I'm not excited. But I have a bad feeling the producers will omit Dobby from the series entirely and I feel that doesn't do justice to his character. I don't know, but the last harry potter movies have been about romance and I feel that's not what it's about. It's about magic(and awesomeness), right?

@AppelBanaanCitroen because the book has too big of a plot to put it into one movie & still have the amount of detail required for the public to be happy, as well as fit in to a reasonable time space. i'm actually happy they're doing two movies, because if they did just one, it'd be a piece of crap & it'd leave out tons of key points. i just wish the two movies weren't spaced so far apart >.<
