I agree with these comments, one of the best 'typical' eurovision ballads before all the changes. She is a superb singer and fills the huge stage with her presence and that is ni mean feat. 1993 was a great year for eurovision and there were a few more before it all went 'east' - if you get my drift!
Im still suprised how confident she was on stage . One of the last typical old-time eurovision entries i think , when watching the contest was all about classy ( and a bit corny indeed ) songs in languages you didnt understand , with the orchestra giving its extra weight to the event
The orchestra wouldnt work with the current productions the orchestral arrangement works a lot better with a certain type of traditonal classical kind of music like the ballads for instance but with all the upbeat eletronic songs it just doesnt make it right. Unless they used it for the ballads it would be okey for not the rest. And 80% of the contest is more uptempo than slow tempo ballads as "fans" say "we don't want to fall asleep we want to jump and dance for 3 hours" LOL
Love this song...Keith from Ireland.....I lived in a shithole called Bermuda..the only gay in the village...and this song made me feel super about myself as I whisled myself from A to B on my moped
I heard this song in Eurovision, 20 years ago. Since then, when I grew up, I wanted to know who is this artist, and what song she is singing. Now I finally know :)
IMO, the most beautiful Eurovision song ever singed by anyone. Thumbs up from Finland, Swizerland -93 ! Best song ever.
Definetely she should have won! My top10 from 1993: 1.- Switzerland 2.- Norway 3.- Netherlands 4.- Italy 5.- United Kingdom 6.- France 7.- Germany 8.- Greece 9.- Austria 10.- Malta
Great song, but I think she is quite irritating to look at...she doesn´t know what to do with her arms during the song, waving them around. A microfonestand would have been better for her...
Dommage qu'elle ne sache pas se tenir... Les jambes écartées comme ça, c'est pas très élégant, surtout qu'elle est très mignone ! Mais elle chante bien et la chanson est bonne. Bravo la Suisse.
Oh wow! Simply stunning! I always wanted to hear why Switzerland gained third before remaining in the shadows ever since, and now I now! (These lyrics have become a sort of motto for me!) Very moving.
Aún recuerdo con 13 años esta gran canción y fue la favorita de mi abuela, que vio eurovisión conmigo y muchos años mas jejejeje

She was the best of the 1993 edition. Her voice is absolutely superior than Niamh's. Besides that, the Irish song was quite ordinary, too.

My favourite that year.

No Ireland? Okey, two victories in a row is a lot, but Niamh deserved it. Great song and great singer, both Ireland and Switzerland.

This is one of my favourites in ESC ever, she fills the stage wonderfully with her strong voice. Great singer.
TOP3 in -93 were all good quality songs, even if I didn't like UK song so much.
It was one of the best years alltogether.

That's a thought, perhaps that might have made her more comfortable.
