  • he never had the game until now

  • i think he sucks really

  • do you need the classic controller?

  • @TheOrangeloveant you can use the wii mote, classic controller, or gamecube controller.

  • @Akfamilyhome wow

  • is this the same as the old snes version(i don't know which?)

  • @metalsonic71 Yes.

  • wow this guy sucks lol. is it the first time he's playing mario?

  • lmao "super mario usa" the dumbed down version that they gave us. they put it on there so the japanese players can laugh at us.

  • Just curious. Didn't they have a "Mario All-Stars + Mario world" on SNES, that also included Mario world?....So, why couldn't they have just used that one..?

  • @Samoutuomas i dont like it, they should of left it original and maybe have a new version of those games included in the dvd+ Sm World. the gameplay is very different.

  • Mario bros 1 doesnt look like that, the original mario is different

  • @djgabrielpresents It's the Super Nintendo -version... in fact, the whole game is just a quick port of Super Mario All-Stars from the SNES. It even shows you the SNES-controller instead of the Wii-mote on the menus lol.

  • @djgabrielpresents What Mario Bros?

  • @djgabrielpresents You're right. When the original Super Mario All-Stars was released on the SNES, the games included got a graphics/sounds upgrade to match the graphics/sounds of Super Mario World. There was an edition of Super Mario All-Stars which also included Super Mario World. If you want to play something close to the original, you should get the virtual console version. Luckily for me, I have the "original" original, still playable on my NES.

  • they should do one for pokemon

  • In my head I imagine a proper 25th anniversary re-release, with new NSMB Graphics, all music performed by a huge Galaxy style orchestra and real instruments, 480p and Widescreen quality. + inclusion of Super Mario World, Mario 64 and Sunshine. They could then easily have asked normal Wii disc retail price and sold by bucket loads I reckon and boosted Wii sales yet again. Nintendo can be amazing but it seems they sometimes choose to do things half assed which is a shame.

  • in all i think it is pretty pathitic to release a game that was ALL READY MADE FOR SNES

  • @gamemaster641998 Honestly, this game should have just been an "extra" to the actual game. The actualy game should be like AndrewGmusic said, and been remade with new graphics and music/sound. Had Widescreen HD, and various other updates. Even if they didn't make it using 3D like NSMB, 'least they could have done was the same basic thing they did with Street Fighter HD remix..

  • @txfnero well i guess your right but smb2 is a good game but i hate the ending though it doesn't make sense for mario to dream up a whole game and IT WAS COPIED FROM YUME KOJO DOKI DOKI PANIC!!!

  • @gamemaster641998 Imagine that...

you bought SMB2 and found it very hard. you keep playing it, asking lots of people for help, searching websites and watching walkthroughs...and so many months, years later, you finally killed wart. you were so surprised, and when you're ready to throw your hands up in the air, you realized that mario was only sleeping and the whole stuff was all a dream, and you screamed at the TV.

  • @Akfamilyhome that would really suck i can imagine that to happen but serously it is so dumb that nintendo made it............. it's fin to have a challange but if it was just mario's dream that is dumb. i hate it when stuff like that happen. at the end of smb2 if i just found out it was mario's dream i would grab an ax, and grab the game and destory smb2

  • this is a waste of money.

  • @CALLOFDUTYvids24 not really

  • i can what to play it on 12-25-2010

  • Comment removed

  • Fail at 2:58

  • @MyRidgeRacer Yes, buy it. Now.

  • i have the nes, and it looks much less new than this does. Same game though, but this is just not as classic. Good game though, getting it because i dont wanna be hauling my 500 dollar nes around with me just to show off.

  • is yoshi in it and can you play as anyone besides mario and luigi

  • yay just in time for my birthday! (12/12/96)

  • it came out in the USA today

  • i have this on super nintendo with super mario world include so fuck that im not buying

  • I finished preordering mine. Now to get my hands on it. Hehehehehe. Ahem Excuse me. Anyhow, I love the artwork. Is this on every system? The artcover on each game? So its 1-3 and World? Or is World out? I heard it as a rumor.

  • @Halo44327 there is no World. It only features 1, 2, 3, and lost levels in usa, which in japan, it is 1, 2, 3 and usa.

  • @Akfamilyhome So it was a rumor. Oh well. 1,2,3, and Lost Levels. You know how much that is to buy separate? I have a Play N Trade near my house, its about 100 bucks to buy a NES system. Now the games are really expensive. Super Mario Bros. 1 is 59.99 the same price as a new released game for Xbox 360, PS3, or Wii. I saw Super Mario Bros. 3 is really expensive. The highest I have seen was 75 bucks. For the nes version of course. This is actually a good deal and a wonderful collector's item.

  • @Halo44327 Dude, your Play N' Trade is screwing you big time. A quick check on eBay and you can find a working NES for about $25. Not only that, but the three Mario games together are only about $15 total. But the artbook and CD for this thing should be pretty nice.

  • @SmashEnigma1 Well yes and no. I forgot to mention the console is brand new never touched. Includes the console, Super Mario Bros. 1, Duck Hunt, a Light Gun, two controllers, and a 20 dollar discount for the store. I guess........it is a good deal then.

  • @Halo44327 Oh, ok. Never mind then! :D

  • @SmashEnigma1 And usually the ones online are usually used and throw away ones. Usually not in good shape for example, I saw one that had the cover thing to prevent dust, broken off. That''s pointless. So much for no dust then..... XD

  • @Halo44327 i have the same thing. Gonna buy this so i dont have to bring my nes everywhere!

  • @legoworldfan Well........I still have my NES. Still brand new not a scratch o nit. I like the game. I forgot how difficult World 5 was in Super Mario Bros. T_T

  • I'm getting it on the 13th of December! I saw it at my local EB Games store.

  • i think at super mario its beter

  • i pre ordered it but i dont give a shit about the game, just the cd and booklet

  • epic mario intro

  • If I were nintendo I would have included every mario game for the nes up to n64 and included special features.

  • I have it on my PSP :D

  • Can you play it with the SNES controller?

  • @Imafisherman i don't know if you can connect a snes controller to the wii, but i know that you can use the wii remote, classic controller or gamecube controller.

  • @Imafisherman

You can if you have a special adapter that plugs into the Gamecube slot on your Wii.

  • I have Super Mario All Stars to my SNES but unfortnely I got rid of my SNES (and the games too of course) when I moved fromn my old appartment to my new one. I have ordered this game to my Wii-console.

  • Its not in hd widescreen?

  • @xDarkBilly13 no.

  • @Akfamilyhome Is it compatible with the Gamecube controller and the Classic controller too since I have a SNES Retroport to plug my SNES pad into the Wii.

  • this is a ripoff, calling it a "limited edition" getting people to buy something they already have, if you have this on SNES, why not play that game? it's not like the wii will feature anything different, now if the game was remastered in high definition now we are talking but the wii is standard definition! nintendo is just taking people here.

  • I hve it yay

  • They should've uped the graphics, and put orchestral music (like the SMG series). I already have this game on the SNES! (and this looks to be EXACTLY the same)

  • @xtremethomas yep, this IS EXACTLY the same.

  • @Akfamilyhome Aren't there only three save files on the SNES, though? I forget, but all the same...

  • @xtremethomas it IS better sound quality, and sync, between video and audio though

  • i have the original SMW and super mario 64 there no reason for me to complain about those games being on the 25th anniversary disk. besides i never played super mario all stars. i only started playing video games in 1998. iam 25 years old now. funny how consoles fly right past you when your little. i still have my NES and SNES i got a few years back in 2008.

  • I kinda wished that this game would have NSMBW graphics

  • @keggie09 cool yeah!

  • i have preordered it, should be getting it friday, i cant wait such a classic game!

  • does this game let you play with the classic controller or classic controller pro?

  • Although I think this is cool, they should have released the new All Stars edition with the original graphics to the games, especially considering it is a limited edition game. Is it really a classic collectors item if the graphics are updated from the original. For those who want the original games and super mario world, you can download them on the wii's virtual console.

  • They should gone HD, given us super mario world and mario 64!

  • @Clerkz: Mario 64 is already out on the DS. What's the point of releasing it again? :/ But Super Mario World would've been nice (Even though I already have it for my SNES).

  • Comes out on the 12th in America, yah!!!!!

  • I guess it gives my SNES cartridge a rest and won't be playing the VC all the time!

  • They really should have put in Super Mario World in there too. Wouldn't object to the inclusion of Mario 64, while they were at it.

  • @Pushtrak yeah, i am just thinking WHAT THE HELL no super mario world? if it's celebrating Mario's 25th birthday SMW should be a important game because it introduces yoshi, cool powerups...

    it's like...you know, a milestone.

  • @Akfamilyhome We're not celebrating Mario's 25th birthday. We're celebrating the 25th birthday of Super Mario Bros. Mario is older than 25 years. But I agree that the birthday of SMB is pretty much the birthday of Mario himself, because the character really started taking shape in those games.

Still, I think it makes sense not to include other Mario games in a collection that's essentially about the birthday of SMB. Plus, I doubt Nintendo would want to mess with the sales of SMW on the VC.

  • @Akfamilyhome i think it's because you can download SMW on the wii shop.

While the others 4 games are remakes of the NES versions,SMW is almost identical in SMAS+SMW,except for new sprites for luigi. They'll take less money,i think ;D

  • @Pushtrak

well to get technical....mario world and mario brothers is two separate series of games.

  • @RemusLupo Yes, and your point? It isn't called Super Mario Bros All Stars, the title gives the opening to include Super Mario World. The first game was Mario Bros. Then, Super Mario Bros 2 and 3.

You aren't going to find many people who'd think "You know what, they shouldn't have included SMW."

Oh, and series of games? Not much connection between 2 and either the first or third. I don't have space here to go into the story behind 2. I'll assume you know about it.

  • @Pushtrak

its a rehash anyways so its not like it matters, virtual console has smw im sure

  • @RemusLupo I had a real itch to play Mario 3 and SMW a few months back. Was going to buy some points and get them on the VC, but I don't want to get the update that is a prerequisite. Otherwise, I'd be perfectly happy to get this collection, and SMW separately.

  • @Pushtrak I know right......I thought they should should have put wrecking crew, mario bros. arcade, ect......it would have probably bumped the price up a bit but it would have well been worth it.....

  • I was all excited for a moment when I saw this coming out. Then I see it's an exact copy of the SNES game (that I already have). What a fucking rip off. They could have at least included some behind the scenes or bonus content to differentiate it from the SNES version. I mean shit, the SNES game is only a couple of megs. To waste an entire DVD to put a couple megs on the disc?! WTF Nintendo?! PUT SOME EXTRA SHIT ON THERE.

  • Comment removed

  • I personally would prefer to (and will) get this game rather than download each game game off the vc because I downloaded SMB3 off the VC and it is practically colourless. I can't say the same for the other games, but the quality on that game is definitely better.

Something else i was thinking: SMB USA, as it is on here (I think), is called the lost levels in the UK and it is said to be the Japanese version of the game, but here it looks to be the American version! Can anyone help?

  • @everton0633668495 I get it - in Japan the normal game is what we'd call ''The Lost Levels', so the USA version is the novelty.

  • Does the game save.

  • @1scarfe yes.

  • @1scarfe It's the snes game rereleased. Still says 93 on the title screen.

  • Any chance you could rip a .iso of the soundtrack and send it to me? I'm very picky on quality, so I wanted to extract the files myself from the said iso file.

  • @ShonicTH Sorry, but I don't. I don't know how to rip .iso files out of a disk.

  • SOOO GETTING THIS!!

  • for a japanese person this guy sucks at mario

  • @kingMetalOi i absoulutely agree.

  • @Akfamilyhome wats irony is that they think Super Mario Japan (The Lost Levels) was too hard for us.

  • @kingMetalOi i agree also

  • Yay, blue Bowser prototype. XD

  • OST is now available!

  • I'm getting it for christmas with wario action figure, can't wait!

  • Well I have this game for the snes so there would be no point of buying this game unless for the video and booklet on history of mario. It's not "useless" to some kids and adults who don't have the snes or the nes.

  • December 12th!!! This is coming to America, and I plan on buying two copies, one to play, and one to not open and keep

  • Doesn't look bad, but I'm going to 'invest' my money elsewhere.

  • Up yours, Nintendo. We want 2.5D, not crappy 16-bit on a (128-bit?) console. This makes NSMB look awesome! Remixed music! Epic bridge destruction! Recoloring 3D models! WE NEED POLYGONS!!!

  • Ok the only difference is the Box art's are clear 128bitish But that's all

  • @Akfamilyhome Gecko lets you play SMAS but then again, people could of played SMAS on a SNES Emulator so they really didn't miss anything. Super Mario All-Stars 25th Anniversary will include "History of Mario" and a "Soundtrack" along with it's Game for just $30.

To me, that sounds cooler than playing it on Gecko. With the Package it gives you, that's for Hardcore Mario Fans. On Gecko, nothing new.

  • dont make me sick! this is remade crap on the first mario game but the third is pretty much exacly alike to the original except for the battle part on the main screen. but i wouldn't buy the game i have all of those except for the 2nd one on the gba...

  • @Akfamilyhome what is gecko

  • @arielreyes96 a cheating application for the wii.

  • ok i was thinking of getting this game but now that i know its mario allstar i think i wont get it....i got mario allstar 2 times....i dont need it 3 times

  • this is gonna be my christmas present

  • @arielreyes96 yes mine is too...well at least i WANT it to!

  • What? The first game you play-is that Super Mario Bros. 3? or is it number one? Because it looks like number one's level design...but thats the graphics of Mario Bros. 3!

  • does it have a club nintendo code?

  • @mariacamaya Yes.

  • this is no different then the snes version just that it has sountrack dvd but the thing that sucks is that it doesnt have super mario world that sucks

  • So... the game I've been waiting for on the Virtual Console is now being released as a Wii disc game with no real changes but with a bonus soundtrack for 30$? ...yea... up yours Nintendo. What cheap way to make more cash. Instead of spending only about 8$ on a VC download they're expecting people to buy this version instead. >_>

  • @FlyingChainChomp well, I guess they're trying to make up for the limited edition wii and DSi systems which include the free games and a different color. I was actually about to buy this, but it didn't have any improvement at all.

  • @FlyingChainChomp Hmm...Super Mario All-Stars was on the VC? Really? I don't know that it was available then. So releasing this disc is useless?

  • @Akfamilyhome No, but I've been hoping it was going to be released on the VC but now they pulled this stunt which ticked me off.

  • @Akfamilyhome not useless, I don't have a router so for some ppl, VC is not an option...and if you consider this, it's a collector's item so it has some value. Think about it. I will buy it when it comes to amazon.

  • @Akfamilyhome no he's saying they could have released it on the VC. You can't really blame tho.

  • @FlyingChainChomp 8$ for a vc snes + 8 + 8 +8 = 32 bucks so i guess there going for that since's its Four Snes games in one lawl

  • @mariox901 Yea I figured they were doing that but one could have hoped for some generosity and charity from Nintendo considering how successful the Wii has been. But, Nintendo wants to keep milking that cash cow. >>; Pretty only the unsuccessful games are less than 20$. Things that still sell well are still above 30-40$... Wario Ware, Smash Bros, Galaxy... etc

  • @FlyingChainChomp Why would Nintendo release this on VC for $8 when they have the individual games on NES for $5 each (except lost levels which is $6)? If they released this on VC then no one (except for nostalgic people) would ever bother paying for the NES versions.

  • @Lightness1882 The only reason to purchase anything on the Virtual Console is to play it for the nostalgia... so for those who want to play All 4 with SNES graphics (and save a couple of bucks) they get that, for those who'd rather play the old school versions can play the individual ones. But whatever... you can praise Nintendo all you want. I think VC is overpriced and so is this Collector's Edition. Heck a new copy of Super Mario Galaxy still costs 50$. >_> I'm gonna giving Nintendo the bird.

  • @FlyingChainChomp If they released it on VC the price should be at least $20 instead of $8 because each of the 4 games cost $5 dollars on VC but a $20 SNES game on VC would be ridiculous so they decided to release it as an actual game with a bonus CD and a history booklet for $30 which is very cheap for a console videogame when it's first released. Yes their making more money this way BUT we're saving a little bit of money because this could've easily been priced at $50.

  • @FlyingChainChomp Its limited edition, so its a must have for any nintendo fan. it also comes with an art booklet.

  • @FlyingChainChomp Where I live it's actully 20

    Also 8x4= 32

So this saves you 2 dollars but I see what you mean as we can buy it on VC but Since all 4 games are on there it sort of would make is usless buying them on VC as it would cost much more.

  • @FlyingChainChomp

I will BUY this version. Mario is fucking worth it nigga!

  • @FlyingChainChomp I hate it too when they release old games in new packages similar to this just to make more money. The only exception to me is the Megaman Zero collection which has all 4 GBA games in it for convenience (and can be difficult to find each game).

  • @FlyingChainChomp Actually, it comes with more things then just the game and the soundtrack. It comes with a history booklet, which I am very anxious to look at. Think about it this way, this is more for collectors, like myself. I also despise VC, and I am even considering buying a Famicom and FDS so I can get super mario bros 2 (lost levels) in the original 8 bit graphics than buy it for VC.

Graphics aren't everything bro. If you don't want it, don't buy it. I for one, am anxiously awaiting.

  • @Edwardo90219 Well. Personally I think 8$ for a VC download would be a very nice Christmas gift. But instead we're giving them our holiday cash by buying limited red Wiis and this game. The soundtrack? I really can't listen to game tunes in my iPod, so I wasn't interested in that. History book? Played pretty much every Mario game that caught my interest and I don't really care about it since I could Wikipedia history for free. I'm just saying I'm feeling gypped by Nintendo.

  • Oh yea and I should mention that I really hate that commercial with the kids singing the Mario theme for the DSi limited edition just to rake even more holiday cash... I'm not trying to be a Nintendo killjoy here but I have spent hundreds on upgrading my DS and Wii but they still keep pulling cheap stunts like that red Wii. This special edition here? This was the straw that broke the camel's back. Not to mention many disappointing new games for both systems. So yea no more Nintendo for me.

  • it's mario all stars without mario world?

    right!

  • @purpleanimeb9s Right!

  • its actuually december 12th for america.

  • i dont get it was so great about it?

  • @younghero95 Nothing's great about it so it's great you don't get it. I guess.

  • @Akfamilyhome ok o _o but what so different you can just go to the wii shop and buy each for like way under 30 bucks ._.

  • @younghero95 you're too young to understand it.

  • @blackstones83 dont let my name fool you i now know why is soo great its for those collecters of mario

  • @younghero95 hahaha i didn't even notice your name hahaha

  • @blackstones83 lmfao i jus like idk got the idea that i thought you thought i was young cuz of my geeky name :o

  • is there any point to getting this if you already have these games on VC besides different graphics

  • @100PurpleCoins All of the Above! Just no Nunchuk option.

  • Comment removed

  • do this game uses nunchuk?

  • @zelink304 - Actually, I reckon it's only with the Wii Remote held sideways - like New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

  • @FieraDevilWings I BOUGHT THE GAME.

Nothing is changed. 16:9 ratio makes black thick lines.

Controls is Wii Remote held sideways. And then it's a definite SNES port.

  • @Akfamilyhome - Well, I was only referring to the controls, I heard before you told me that the 16:9 ratio makes black lines >.>

I was referring to the fact that the Wii Remote held sideways is similar in concept to what they did in New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

  • 12/12/10!

  • i want it!

  • Who wants to bet this is nothing but an SNES emulator running the Super Mario All Stars Rom with it's title screen hacked to say Super Mario Collection?

  • @SegaFanatic5188 Super Mario Collection is the Japanese name for Super Mario All Stars.

  • Comment removed

  • @Akfamilyhome Ah ok, then who wants to bet that this is nothing but an SNES emulator running that rom?

  • @Akfamilyhome Yep, I imported the Japanese version for the SNES, and it is called Super Mario Collection.

  • @SegaFanatic5188 You are truely have a sad mind :/...This is the official Super Mario Bros. 25th Anniversary game. 1. How can it be on a disc channel. 2. Why would it randomly say super mario bros. 25th anniversary as it's intro. 3. Super Mario Collection Is The Japanese Name For Super Mario all Stars.

  • @jonathan47411 Oh I know it's the official game, I am saying who wants to bet that all Nintendo did for this release was put an SNES emulator with the Super Mario All Stars Rom on a disc and release that.

  • @SegaFanatic5188 It's an emulator, just like all Virtual Console titles.

  • @SegaFanatic5188 This is actually real. If you don't believe me type it in on gamestop.com

  • @CrazyBanjoKazooie I'm well aware it's a real game genius. I am saying that all Nintendo probably did was put an SNES emulator on the disc with the Super Mario All Stars rom on it.

  • December 25th, 2010. This game hits American shelves.

  • @YoshiAngemon Yay.

  • @Akfamilyhome WAIT! I mistyped. It's supposed to be December 12th.

  • @Akfamilyhome - December 2, 2010. The game hits Australian shelves. YAY :3

    December 3, 2010. European shelves!

Hehe, a bit jealous, you might be?

  • @Akfamilyhome Actually it hits US shores on December 12th.

  • @Akfamilyhome actually it's december 12th just letting you know, they would never be dumb enough to release this on christmas.

  • @YoshiAngemon IT's 12th.
