@Italian007western He only played one regulation game last season, however, it was an emergency call up due to the Marlies being on the east coast and most of the reserves sick.

According to National Post, Burke has him penciled in second line center for at least 20 games.

In any case, he got a team leading 93 points in a single OHL season, only 13 points behind this year's 2010 first overall, Taylor Hall. Before you start saying he sucks, do your research and actually see him play in person.

@Sub4PrankCalls When did you start watching him? This season? If so, you haven't seen anything. He's has stuff to work on, true; but if you look at a lot of NHL rookies, some start later than others.

I'm not saying he'll be the messiah for Toronto, actually far from it. He's just a lot better than what people are saying and has a lot of potential. He'll no doubt be playing AHL for the greater majority of this season after what he has shown in the exhibition games.

You can't say Kadri is a superstar because at his best potential, hes a playmaker. I dont see him getting more than 70 points a year at his best, dont get me wrong thats still very good, but believe me when i say he wont become a stamkos, thats 100% certain.

Kadri isn't on the same level as hall or seguin, he is still gonna be incredible in the nhl but not hall or seguin like. Who knows maybe seguin will be a bust time will tell in the short term we got the best of the boston deal. Kessel makes an immeadiate impact and seguin still needs to develop.

Kadri isn't on the same level as Hall but I wouldn't say that about Seguin... Seguin has had one good year in the OHL and his team got swept in the playoffs by Hall's team (Seguin had like 2 points and Hall had like 11..) plus Seguin couldn't even make the world juniors.

It's called player development man. He's a potential 30 - 50 point a year player now. Give him time to grow further in the OHL, let him lead a team there and dominate, and then augment his potential to something closer to 70+ points a year. Too often we see coaches and GMs pushing young players out of the block too quickly, and it ruins them. Remember a guy named Nik Antropov?
