Great tutorial buddy, only thing that bothered me was that you where keeping all your layers pixel based instead of vector based by using the marquee tool and polygonal lasso tool instead of using shapes and the pen tool also the extra blue you had, could of just been clipped out with a layer mask but the tutorial is great, I was just suggesting this to make the 3D Ribbon Scale-able to any size you'll ever need it to be ^_^

the ribbon effect would be more convincing if you changed the black part to a different color so you could put a shadow under the ribbon ;)
although that's just a matter of taste. Another thing you could do with it is make a 3d shelf effect (so you could add a bottom to the ribbon)
