I'm sure Ron Paul's very popular, and I do support him. I wish more people who voted for and approved of him in the straw polls would transfer that support to him in the Republican primaries. Just imagine Obama vs Paul in 2012. Big government vs small government. Foreign adventurism vs noninterventionism.

This judge has his facts wrong. The government created wealth during the New Deal. Social Security isn't broke, Medicare isn't broke. The damage done to the dollar was done by LACK of government regulation.

Social security will be going broke. It already pays out more than it takes in. Also, libertarians blame PREDATORY REGULATION, not deregulation, for the current financial crisis, as well as devaluing the dollar by printing more money. We don't really have true "free market capitalism."

@Edgehead10075 So if your only criteria for foting is trying to vote with the majority, then you are mindlessly casting your vote for the perceived lessor evil instead of for whom you want. The problems we have now are because of too many people voting for the lessor evil and expecting something less than evil. I've been voting against both haves of the two faced republicrat party since 1988 in local and national elections. I've picked no winners, but I accept no blame.

@Edgehead10075 That's a valid question. My answer is that those who lost eventually (if they stop listening to the media) realize why they lost. Long term, we eventually get people running who aren't like that.  Ron Paul is getting some support precisely because McCain lost. In '94, the republicans won because Bush lost in '88. The republicans gained in 2010 because McCain lost in 2008. What is the long term effect of voting for lessor evil, but more evil as we've seen for a century?
