I would say mink make great pets for the right person and HORRIBLE pets for the wrong person. If you have alot of experience with wild animals you should do ok with some help and dirrection from some one experienced with mink. I recomend going to "Yahoo groups" and joining the group "Petmink" It is a great group with TONS of good information.
Males are WAY easier to work with than females! They are a lot bigger, but much calmer, lower energy, and less aggressive. The easiest mink I ever tamed was an adult male. Of course when you bottle raise them, like this little girl, you don't really have to tame them, just teach them not to bite too hard.
