@mikestylz96 Sad little 14.4. 2.4 60'...car with a better straight line drive should be 14.2ish if not better. Same kit on another car had a fastest time of 13.9....but not getting any better than that.
@audiostank Well that's not bad cosidering you have around 200whp. The e36 M3's are also low 14's and they're pretty quick, I've driven a few. I'd be happy with a Focus that can do low 14's lol. How's the gas mileage with the addition of the supercharger?
@mikestylz96 Gas mileage isnt too bad. When not boosting like a little teenager; get 19-22 city and 26-28 on highway. I have fun with a tank of gas and that doesn't get too much worse. Worse gas mileage I ever got was during a bad work week, a ton of heavy footed driving, and only 175 miles to the tank lol.
@audiostank 175 a tank is very low, but I bet you had fun haha. Is there a way to switch the supercharger off when you don't want to use it or does it always stay on? Have you run into any kind of problems with the jrsc? You know like overheating, oil leaks, etc. Do you have to do any maintainence tot he supercharger?
@mikestylz96 Well its bolt on; but there is nothing you can do to really shut it off. Install a boost gauge and stay out of boost and your gas will be like your N/A. Maintenance has been low. Bought it used and have sent it out for being rebuilt twice. $500 or so each time. No issues otherwise; no oil leak. Recommend a catch can though for after the PCV Valve. Been reliable for performance aftermarket car.
I love a good honda motor with a JRSC or Comptec roots blower...get some down low enough and a lot of power with relatively little Boost....Honda motors are amazing
Right...thats if you had all the stock parts that it was designed and tuned for.
The aftermarket intake definitely messed with the MAF. The dyno graph got real sketchy up top since the filter is too close to the MAF.....definitely not linear. So that hurt the dyno. And the 90 degree was the biggest part. Pulls a lot of timing and adds a lot of fuel to ensure no detonation and keep the motor from frying.
Was not good. Only dynoed at 200whp. That was 90 degree day though and with the factory tune. Hopefully ill get another 20-30whp with some tuning, at least it should gain over 20whp.
Who knows...need the cash for the Programmer and some dyno time first.
so what was your fastest time?
