  • nice art

  • WOW!!!!

    Amazing Story!!!

  • This animation is so amazing, I insist you take my money.

  • Come to Jesus and be saved. God loves you, and whoever believes that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for their sins, was buried and rose again will have eternal life in Heaven. Call upon the Lord Jesus Christ, and “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved,” - Acts 16:31

  • @JesusPaid4You For once, somebody made a Youtube comment about Jesus without saying "Send this to (insert number) videos" or something like that, thanks. :3

  • nice

  • OMG. i have to sub now.

  • i clicked it cuz it looked like adventure time ._.

  • song?

  • wait... you are telling me this is a work of one person??

  • my artistic abilities stop at stick figures. and i never realy understand videos like this but i like em. they have a lot of emotion in them.

  • Well-made, but I didn't get it, but don't explain. I have found most things I don't get, when they were explained to me, took me to a place where I don't belong.

  • This reminds me strongly of an old japanese film I've seen, similar style too, very well done.

  • Amazing !

  • Excellent, excellent, excellent! Love it!

  • This is amazing! And I love how all your previous characters have cameos :D

  • Wow...just wow. I've only barely seen some of your videos and animations, but I am completely blown away. Your art is amazing, and your storylines are so interesting; they totally draw you in. But it's the /emotions/ that really stun me. Everything you, every panel and frame, it's like I can SEE the characters' thoughts and emotions run rampart through my own self. I see your and I can't help but fall in love with everything.

I hope to see much more of your works, and this was wonderful!

  • Wow, I'd love to make animations to Hirasawas music myself. Too bad I don't know how.

  • I love this *_* I already loved your previous animations even though they were not perfect (they felt like that to me though xD) and I have to say, personally I still like Reward best. Didn't like the song here at first but it turned so epic (love the higher sung parts) and I was still thinking a lot about the video afterwards. The cameos of your other characters aww, love Rivett and Gate, I hope they appear somewhere again! XD

  • @stillarium (damn that length restriction =o) Anyway, I could imagine you becoming a good professionall animator these days o_O; But I hope to see many FF and TnC fanarts in the meantime hoho! And I like the story too, reminds me of our own world or the FF7 world. XD I like seeing your people the most though, more than the landscapes etc 8D

  • Oh and I forgot: I love how you draw hands ^^

  • I visited SVA today for film and I took the Dusty award DVD and saw snippets of this! This is so amazing! You deserved that award ^^

  • That was epic!!Bravo

I sence a genius in our midst!!

  • at 3:03 is the character for "the portrait"^^ i love this ! its awesome^^

  • I love how all the characters from your previous animations made cameos in this one!

You truly do have a wonderful imagination, and no shortage of talent to bring your ideas to life! I can't wait to see more from you in the future!

  • This is amazing!! :D I love it!! :)

  • I just realized you included Aerith from Final Fantasy, and Wander and his lady from Shadow of the Colossus at the intro. What an incredible, detailed short story.

  • Mystical, in that way it reminds me of Miyazaki.

  • Is that Wander and Mono at 0:38? :D

Also, great movie! I'm sharing on Facebook and Twitter now, it's really amazing. Do you have plans to do anything else regarding this world? I'm thinking probably not, since your story is complete. But, I can't help but want to see more, despite that.

  • @BrightSuzaku Thanks so much! Yes, it is Wander and Mono. Since my first film was a SotC tribute, I wanted cameos of everyone from my previous films, haha.

I'd love to do more with the world, because I put thought into it while working, even the parts that don't show. :) don't know if it would be animation but I might do something with this place in the future!

  • haha, congratz lindsey! This is Deborah by the way :)

  • @nobitanobi DEBORAH! I'm so sad I didn't get to say hi to you at graduation!! (I sent you a text but... not sure if that's even still your phone number!)

I just watched your film and reel, AWESOME!

  • @ironjunia well that's the thing, I lost my phone, got a new one, but lost ALL the contact info! I wanted to call you, but couldn't. Send me an E-mail(don't know yours) so we can talk :)

  • You did an amazing job on this and have evolved into such an incredible talent. You were always a terrific artist, but GIRL . . . you totally rock! (I used to work with your dad and he is SOOOO proud of you! Now I see why!)

  • @WackoMcNutty Thanks so much! That's really sweet and means a lot to me!

  • Absolutely gorgeous.

  • that was amazing! the city was beautifully done!

and i liked the message too. urban sprawl 1, rock crystal tree 0

  • Omg I thought that was Hirasawa. He's so awesome. I love his stuff, and it fits really nice with your piece. Really nice work!

  • Omg I thought that was Hirasawa. He's so awesome. I love his stuff, and it fits really nice with your piece. Really nice work!

  • RESPECT. SO MUCH RESPECT.

  • I saw Cloud! :D

    <3

  • Amazing, beautiful work! I have so much respect for animators.

  • It was sad. But the music went great with it, and I liked the touch with the seed at the end.

  • I LITERALLY CRIED. ;~;

    SO AWESOME.

  • This is really great. I envy you! :D

How long did it take you to make? That is leaving me curious. xD

Ahh, so inspired to make an animation myself.. xD

  • Amazing! I love the concept and the animation is absolutely gorgeous. Great job with this!

  • Mere words can't describe how awesome this is...

(Is that Wander and Mono in the background at 0:39?)

  • lovely message! the music is by the same guy who made the score for the movie paprika right?

  • @thewyteangel Yes, Susumu Hirasawa is the composer of the music from Parprika.

  • This is absolutely beautiful! I'm in animation as well (fourth year film next year, eek!) so I really can tell how much work you put into it. It turned out wonderful <3

  • This was fantastically made. i can tell you put your heart and soul in it. I loved it. I heard you had a dA? (If you do, can you tell me your user? I like your art style. ^^)

  • This is AMAZING! XD Congrats!

  • so sad but beautiful!! :)

  • Susumu Hirasawa... Is that the person who did the opening theme to Paranoia Agent? It definitely sounds like him...

  • @CODEA Yes, Susumu Hirasawa composed the music from Paranoia Agent.

  • oh my god this is butiful and wonderfully animated! Great job!

  • In a word, WOW! This is so beautiful, both the animation and the story, that I'm blown away! Congratulations on your award, you truly deserve it for this for all your amazing work on this! *goes back to watch it yet again*

  • uwa <3

    It's lovely ~~

  • Well, it's no wonder you won that award! :D Awesome job!

  • Amazing! I'm totally in love with this film now. :)

  • Spotted Cloud (Final Fantasy VII), possibly Zack (Final Fantasy VII), and a Merchant (Ragnarok Online). Very nice work!

  • Beautifully done. Seriously WOW.

  • Did I see a random Cloud-wannabe and Zack-wannabe at 0:30? XD

This is awesome <3 you did a great work, hun.

  • wow. stunning amination and over all just amazing~ I reconized a couple of the cameos, but not all. I'm not the best at picking them out XDD great job~

  • Two of the people looked like Kari and Aiden x'D

  • Wow... beautiful work. =)

  • 0:38 OH HEY, I RECOGNIZE THOSE FELLERS

  • This is beautiful!!!!

  • lol at 3:05 is that Jisuk's Demos and the guy from The Portrait?

Stunning film, through the art, the message and everything else. :)

  • @xopenheartx LOL yep, it's them! (wow people have been so good at picking out cameos in this!) thanks very much for watching! :D

  • Supercool! So much work must have gone into this, I can't even imagine. Congrats!

  • I really love the concept. I like how you've only used one mineral to carry the whole idea, and how the city' people are so dependent on it as a source of light and other things.

I also love the how the street lamp work, very clever bit of design there!

  • This was really amazing. That song fit so perfectly. Call me over-emotional, or whatever, but my eyes stung with tears and I felt for that poor creature tried to save itself until the very end.

I loved it very, very much.

  • Love the way you make use of AE 3D space, your camera work is beautiful. The concept seems so Miyazaki inspired, w00t!

  • Amazing work, darling. Simply fantastic, we love it so much!

  • was the message greed or stupidity? i cant read this... Wow I was subscribed to you for the shadow of the colossus video which i loved. but i like this too. you have a creative style.

  • @silverfox123456789 thanks for watching. i would say it's more ignorance than greed, the assumption that the town's resources were inorganic and therefore wouldn't be missed.

  • @ironjunia oh yeah ignorance. that was the word i was trying to remember but i couldn't so i used stupidity. It was good though and you won an award too!

  • This is amazing. It gave me goosebumps!

  • Ooooh, girl...this is so awesome...Jer and I watched it together. I *love* the cameos! The message was very powerful. {{hugs}} It was worth the wait...I'm so proud of you!

  • This is great! :) I love it. I think you did a really great job.

  • This came out great, Lindsay! One of my favorites at the Dusty's!
