  • I wanna buy this but im just wondering does the glow still show after you set your foundation with a powder? Or if you use a powder foundation would it take away the glow?

  • @xBabyTranx it does slightly but not much with a powder over it. I would suggest a powder highlight if you use a powder.

  • Aww u look so pretty! :) haha, When it's winter it's really gloomy so I would i would think use it more in the summer when u can notice it more on?

  • I really, really want strobe liquid so bad! i can easily get it for 25$ in american but im not living there and the price of strobe liquid here is 55$ (crazy!!) is it worth it? is there a cheaper alternative?

  • @cupcakeofmylife1 there are lots of companies that make similar products- I am not sure which ones in your area, but ask your counter people they can recommend something

  • hi I'm 14 years old girl and I'm getting into makeup so I want to buy the strobe lotion but what can you tell me Is it good to buy this product and is it bad because I'm 14 please answer me. Should I buy this or not?

  • @alecortez97 I don't think this is a must have for staring off- get a good foundation or blush or bronzer instead

  • I bought it after watching you're video! I really love it :) thanks for the review ^^

  • Have you tried the MAC Select Foundation (the liquid one) if so, please could you do a review?:-) xx

  • @gsteenlife no I havent sorry

  • HI Lisa, love all your vids. I use shiseido makeup and would this work well together? My skin is dry due to weather and thyroid also dries me out. Thanks :)

  • @MagicalDreamers3 sure it can mix with most foundations

  • Hi ladies... I'm selling 1- never been used, inbox me if you're is interested! ;-)

  • I'm bummed that the clerk sold me the cream instead of the liquid, I used it only once and was so oily by that afternoon I had to wash my face and reapply my makeup. I'm storing things up for a Blog sale.

  • Hi Liza, i wanna ask about the result when you use revlon or clinique, is it good? Is it satisfy you? thx...

  • @meiliany1 i dont own clinique but revlon is good

  • its benefit highbeam not mac:)i have it too

  • I use smashbox cream-to-powder foundation, how do i apply the strobe lotion? I know you said to dab it in the areas you want them in and then blend, but when I do that I get kind of an uneven look.

  • @limzprettythang yoiu should apply it where you what it before you put founadtion on since it is a liquid!

  • whats the difference between strobe cream and liquid?

  • @Steph4nie6822 the cream is thicker and the lotion is more thin! :o)

  • strobe is a lot better than high beam, high beam rubs all your foundation off, its a lot more set than the strobe, strobe is good as a base or mixed with foundation!!!

  • is there a cheaper alternative to mac strobe liquid?

  • yes there was a revlon one and a clinique one I tried too!

  • Hi Lisa, I'm just wondering if you can use probe lotion under powder foundation.. Have you tried it? Because I read elsewhere that you can't really see the effect with powder foundation, as much as it is with liquid foundation.

  • I have not tried the strobe Lotion just the liquid!

  • does the strobe lotion go under or on top of foundation if you're using it as a highlight?

  • under it most times- but it can be used over as well! :o)

  • Have you ever tried (or heard feedback) on the Pixi Brightening Primer that is sold at Target? Every time I try to buy it it's sold out. I was wondering if it is comparable to the Mac Strobe.

Thank you for the reviews Lisa. You're the best!

  • I have never heard of it but I will keep my eyes open for it! :o) thanks!

  • High Beam is by Benefit Cosmetics, not MAC.

    I enjoyed this review!

  • Can you use the strobe lotion on top of your current moisturizer/sunscreen and under a primer?

  • yes you can! :o)

  • Yay I'm so excited. I just ordered this and a few other MAC Prodocts. They will be my first :)

    Subscribed

  • can you use this under BE foundation? does it still give a luminosity?? thanx for ure help:)

  • yes you can! :o)

  • If you have oily skin would you suggest the strobe liquid?

  • yes that one seems to be better!

  • Hi Lisa,

So do you recommend the strobe cream or the strobe liquid? Do they have the same amount of luminescence?

  • they are about the same for luminostiy, but the consistency is different!

  • That's interesting. Thanks for responding!

  • Hi, I was watching on cheesestreet a STROBE UNDERCOVER BASE/PRIMER on peach, has anyone use it??? I think it would be a great choice for combo or oily skin, but I couldn't find it on MAC site.... :(

  • I have never seen or heard of that! Sorry@

  • is there anything comparable to this product that is less expensive and also when you say sheen do u mean shimmer or gitter?

  • I have not found anything less expensive that is comparable yet! Sorry!

  • i would totally put that on my shoulders/ arms, chest and legs when i'm going out :)

  • you look positively glowing in this vid x

  • did you dye your hair or is your lightening different? you look a little red in this video. thanks for the review

  • no it was the lighting I was trying at the time!

  • if i wanted to use the strobe lotion as a highlighter where exactly would i put it on my face?? I'm really interested in using this product but I'm a little scared of looking ridiculious!

  • you would put it on your cheekbone! :o)

  • Oh gosh, Lisa. Once you hit 100,000 I really expected to see some drops in responses to vid comments, but I still see that you're hard at work responding to questions/compliments/etc. I know a lot of gals that I follow to are busy, but you seem to go out of your way to connect with your subscribers. Keep it up (and don't let us down)! Haha.

  • i like your hair stuff

  • thanks for sharing!! i will check it out :)

  • I have normal to dry skin. I'm just wondering if you or anyone would know if applying setting powder over the strobe liquid and liquid foundation will cause dry patches or decrease the dewy effect? Can I get away with not using a setting powder?

  • with the right foundation you can get away with not using a setting powder! :o)

  • Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. What's the right type of foundation to use with the MAC strobe liquid or cream? I'm using the LM moisturising foundation atm. Btw - Your videos are great, very informative.

  • you can use any foundation you want with it! :o) Thanks for watching!

  • Thanks

  • what is the best face primer you would recommend? high end and low end please and thank you.

  • depends on your skin type- I like MAC prep and Prime spf50, Cover fx Skin fx, Murad oil control

  • Thanks for the review! I was wondering if you can give me advise on comparing the MAC studio fix fluid & MAC studio sculpt. I can only get one & need your expertise! Thanks! Love your Vids & Advise!

  • it will depend on your skin type. if you have dry/combo skin the studio sculpt is great if you have combo/oily skin the fix fluid is better! :o) Enjoy!

  • hi ! can you please do a review on the stila kitten eyeshadow ? everyone has been raving about it and i want to see what it's like before going out to get it (: thanks !

  • your haircolor looks awesome here:)

  • LOVE UR HAIR COLOR :)

  • could you do a review on the Tarte Cheek stain? I would love to know what you think and maybe even a how-do because it is a multi-purpose product.

  • I actually dont own the tarte stain- I swatched it in the store and it reminds me of my MAC gel blush- so I didnt but it! Sorry!

  • Thanks!!

  • heey!

i have like oily skin so i prefer more matte foundations but like im like the dewy look so i want to try this product! would u say this makes your skin more prone to getting oilier throughout the day? x x x x

  • yes you need to be sure to just use it in designated areas- not all over if you are oily!

  • your shirt colour really suits you lisa :o)

  • Hi..I love the strobe cream but I am dry like the desert. Probably it would be too moisturizing for oily skin.

  • strobe liquid is the bomb!

  • Just have to saw your shirt looks amazing with your skin and hair color:o) Very pretty!!!

    *big hugs*

  • you look so pretty here!

    great review once again!

  • Just a quick question: How would u use this in combination with blush? thanks! Great review btw!

  • you can tap it on your cheek bone before applying blush! :o)

  • ooooh im gonna look into this b/c high beam is pinky and im olive so light pink.. meh. awesmoe, thank you!!

  • is the strobe liquid similar to fresh twilight cream?

  • I have never seen the fresh twilight cream so I cant compare- sorry!

  • I have the strobe cream and I love it. The lotion is a little too liquefied. The strode cream is rich, a little goes a long way. I personally prefer the cream vs. the lotion. Thanks for the review.

  • I was just reading the side bar what you are wearing, and you wear a lot of stuff on your face. I am not trying to be nasty or mean here.:) I just want to if you have to touch up during the day what do you use and still maintain all these products on your face?

  • nope I just sometimes do some blot powder and that is all durring the day!

  • this off the subject but have you looked at the josie maran eyeshadows?? they look great but i do not have a ssephora close by to look...;(

  • yes I have the finger paints and one eye shadow- they shadows are great and very smooth! :o)

  • Lisa which one do u Like better the mac strobe lotion or the ummm stilla luminous one?

  • oh I like the MAC one way better!

  • how much is it ?

  • I dont remember, but they have the prices on their website!

  • did you die your hair? it looks great :)

  • about a week ago i had it done! :o)

  • I always wondered what this was for and now I know! I want to try this stuff now!

  • you look amazing!! God! thanks for the review ^^

  • Thanks for the review Lisa! Would you use the strobe lotion under your primer? Does it give enough moisture to be used as your only moisiturizer for the day?

  • I need a more designated moisturizer but yes you can try it as such! :o)

  • Great review Lisa, I love this product, Although I have the cream and can only use it when my skin isn't oily. I must try the other one!

  • I don't really get the whole "luminosity" thing.... to me it just makes people look....well...sweaty! What am I missing?

  • it's good for people who have sallow or ashy skin. Oily skin, not so much.

  • There is a big difference between looking oily/sweaty and having a healthy skin glow. If your highlighter makes you look sweaty then 1- get a different highlighter 2- learn to apply it properly so that it doesn't look over-the-top :)

  • I haven't tried the liquid yet...I have the cream and I love it. I believe the cream is a tiny bit more purple , but it is really nice. I have no problems with it. And I believe I have combo skin that leans a tad bit more on the dry side.

  • p.s. The cream has given me a nice pearlescent glow and dew each time.

  • Does this product have a strong scent? I was told it did and since my skin tends to be sensitive, I haven't tried it.

Just curious what you think of the scent?

    Thx

  • It doesn't have a scent.

  • No, it doesn't have a strong scent. You only need a small amount of it each time you use it, so the smell isn't noticeable at all.

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff. I mix it with my foundation. Sooo nice

    xoxox

  • If you use this as a highlighter will you need to set it with another highlighter. I am planning to buy mally beauty shimmer shape and glow which comes with a highlighter and I still kinda want this but the funds are running kinda low. So I guess my question is would you need this if you have a highlighter already?

Thanks! I love your videos <3

  • no you would not need it if you already have a highlighter!

  • awesome review.

sounds good, i will keep it in mind to try it out (:

  • Thanks for the review. I definitely want to try this product. One question, why not the creme? Will it be too shiny or dewy, or heavy?

  • Cream is better for dry skin. If you get oily then lotion is better for you.

  • I love your reviews! You usually review products that I have been curious about trying. Also, does this product have a scent -if so, is it very strong? (I'm really sensitive to fragrance)

  • it does not have a scent to me!

  • thanks so much...i was so looking forward to this review.

can i suggest you or request you something? i work as a flight attendant and i was wondering if u can suggest anything to keep my hydrated without ruining my make up and also any tips to keep my make up last longer :) thank you.

  • model co or fix plus will help! :o) Makeupgeek has a quick review on the model co if you are interested!

  • thanks so much for your reply. i'll check her vid out :)

  • I have both and I like the cream concistency way better and also the cream gives me more of a lumious sheen.

  • Good Vid :) There might be something wrong with your lighting though, your face and neck look orange :/

  • love these videos!!! you give soo much info:)

  • i bought this off of you haha

  • I mix my Strobe Liquid with my MUFE Mat Velvet + and it looks BEAUTIFUL. It doesn't look like too much either, it just makes your face look healthy and not cakey. Especially since that particular foundation is so thick it really helps it blend easier.

  • what happened to your camera :(

    great video though

  • love your nails :)

  • i love your videos lisa!!!! u are so bubbly and ur videos are great!
