  • Thanks great shots! Army ASA at Lin Kou 67-69. Can't find former location of KING HOTEL location on main drag intersection using Google Earth? any ideas! They were working on a new bridge across the river replacing an old metal one. Looks like a made just a few more since I was there. - heyvern@asalives.com

  • Much of Taipei haven't changed since the 60s. Most existing roads and buildings were built during the 60s in Taipei.

  • Chuck, is that slide of the basket ball game from the gym at Morrison Academy? Sure would like to get a copy of anything you have from there if it is.  Was there as a dependent from 69-78, while my father was stationed on CCK from 67-78 until he retired.

  • Really enjoyed those slides, I was stationed at CCK near Taichung 1972-73 and did get up to Taipei fairly often.. Would love to go back, but suppose it's much different now.

    George here. Navy YN3 Stationed Taipei HSA Compound 1965-1967. Visited TAS almost daily on mail runs. Thanks for posting these slides, brings back many memories.
