Thanks great shots! Army ASA at Lin Kou 67-69. Can't find former location of KING HOTEL location on main drag intersection using Google Earth? any ideas! They were working on a new bridge across the river replacing an old metal one. Looks like a made just a few more since I was there. - heyvern@asalives.com
Chuck, is that slide of the basket ball game from the gym at Morrison Academy? Sure would like to get a copy of anything you have from there if it is. Was there as a dependent from 69-78, while my father was stationed on CCK from 67-78 until he retired.
Really enjoyed those slides, I was stationed at CCK near Taichung 1972-73 and did get up to Taipei fairly often.. Would love to go back, but suppose it's much different now.
great shots good old memories. wow you were there before i was born. anyway, love your slides, and really appreciate your service. respect, thanks a lot!

Much of Taipei haven't changed since the 60s. Most existing roads and buildings were built during the 60s in Taipei.

Fascinating stuff - I currently live in Jhubei City - just about a 1/2 hour high speed train ride south of Taipei.

Great shots. You should upload them to Flickr as there are a lot of old Taiwan shots there.
