Very nice work! I too am working on a animated system with tortoise machines. Can you give any advice on driving the rods on the NJ arms? I have the same pair and can't find a workable solution without ordering the Activator Part 800-8100. Is that what you use? Thanks and great job.
I love railroad crossings. If I ever get into railroading (Again) then the railroad crossings will have to work... just like this! But where I live the bells don't constantly ring on the units.
Nice Crossing Signal...Since 1986 that's when I got my first Train Model It came with Crossing gates but did not do the actual closing, lights and perfect end!!! were did u get them and how can i get the horn for the loco too..?
do those branch line crossings work too?

Why are they about 45 degrees when "up"? You can't have them drive up any further? Otherwise, looks good, even though they flash too fast.

Here in Pine Bluff,AR 6th and 13th Ave crossings were like that. Now they have newer signals that go all the way up.

you probably had to spend a tone on all those intermountain cars
hermoid 4 years ago
I spent a ton getting the crossing signals operational. Fortunately, another member is the owner of that train.

Is there a 3rd track in the back, by the roadblocks, 'cause I see signals.
fastlane250 4 years ago
Yes, there's a branchline that runs in back. This track actually runs down the center of the downtown street on this module.
moocrew7 4 years ago
Wow, neat!
