@JayMoneMU obviuosly you know more than emanuel steward about the stoppage ! now just a note if you watch the end of the 13 round the right hand that leonard landed would have dropped hearns just look at his feet as his back go's back against the rope's ! they saved hearns form being knocked flat on his back and just watch hearns legs after the 8 count see hearns stagger as he walks one step to his corner ! you need to be more observant i am affraid !!

the last left hook was vicious. Good stoppage but still Leonard got saved. Defense is the name of the game. Without those first couple of rounds Leonard would have lost this fight. Hearns could have been one of the best of all time if he had some defense

@flapperhead I think he would have lasted long, thing is would he even have fought him ? Leonard faced a frigthening guy like Hearns, I just dont see Floyd do that..

Think about the competition that Leonard had faced when he was not even 26 years old..Duran, Benitez, Hearns..Floyd is almost at the end of his career and has nowhere neer that resumee.

I dont doubt Floyds skills, only his courage.

Ive seen the best the fight game has to offer for over 40 yrs and i just dont think mayweather stacks up agaisnt leonard. leonard was at least as skilled, bigger,hit harder and had a great jaw.lastly like u said leonard proved himself against some of the best in boxing history...And all by the time he was 26

@flapperhead I just love leonard!! don't know how it would have panned out against mayweather. Sugar was a harder hitter and it is possible he would have beaten money, but not by ko i'm afraid.When ray fought floyds dad he had a hard time to put him away and remember floyd senior did not have the defense of junior. ...........Floyd is an elite boxer and he may not be exciting as ray but he is effective enough to steal a win. Both are great.

its kj here finishing my tirade against may.He is a coward slinging mud i recognise his prodigous talent but one of my fav. fighters who fought anyone who would get in with him Winky Wright said he would make 147 if it killed him for a may. fight of course may. ran.
