the new patch is 1.0.6.0 but that patch gives smooth shadows and low performance

with my new pc I can run the game on medium settings but I used to run high

I'm running 1.0.3.0 fine, only problem I have now is overheating. I mean, as long as I can play online, it's okay- doesn't matter the settings I have to run. @BMXISMYLIFE123....why do you say Nvidia sucks? There's nothing to choose between ATI and Nvidia. Both are very good. As for GTA on the Pc, I ended up buying it for my PS3 as the Pc version was full of bugs and suffered memory leaks causing serious frame rate slow down. Patch 2 caused more problems than it 'fixed'. Fed up with us Pc gamers being treated like crap by game makers.

Nvidia havent yet got a card with DX11 as they are making a totally new generation of GPU which has been delayed until spring but when it comes out it should put them back on top. Not having DX11 isnt the end of the world anyway. When you had a Nvidia card was it the equivalent of your Ati card? the 4870 represents great value for money against the Nvidia cards but they do run hot. I have two factory overclocked 8800GT cards (Zotac AMP Edition). Both ATI and Nvidia are good.
