  • Well, I can see The Dufay Collective does not fear doing what was always done: *extemporize*, which is what true Medieval musicianship would revel in and is what the constipated embalmed Classical community today fears more than death. Wonderful upload, nice and raw (if only the recording were more raw...), thank you! ;-)

  • @MushroomedAnymore Thanks for the comment. This "rawness" is precisely what I like about The Dufay Collection. Philip Pickett of the New London Consort achieves it at times...perhaps he gets his "soul" from his distant relation, Wilson. I like another Dufay saltarello that I posted even more ("Saltarello No. 2)...scroll down in "Info" for the link).

  • It says alot about music like this that it has survived all these years.

  • @pillcounter75 Indeed. I included a link to another Saltarello by Dufay, which is slightly more soulful, I think. Enjoy!

  • Love

  • OK then. If nothing is perfect. on a scale of 1 to 37 I'd ranks this as a 34.671436976514

  • @guidepost42 You are most kind! The Dufay Collective is marvelous.

  • Perfect!

  • @guidepost42 Well, nothing is perfect...but thanks!

  • ¡Exquisito!

  • @IngridAtenea Gracias!
