To those who responded to AmandaBlueHeron, I respectfully disagree that those groups mentioned can compare to this Ink Spots' performance. In the comment, I think AmandaBlueHeon was referring to the smooth-as-butter harmony (which in itself is rather rare), and especially the operatic voice of the lead singer, the likes of which is nonexistent in today’s pop songs. It's also rare in old pop songs. Perhaps Roy Orbison or Bill Kenny of the older Ink Spot group had somewhat comparable voices...
