I know about Rebuild of Evangelion, Revival of Evangelion was a separate film, it was basically Death and Rebirth and End of Evangelion rolled into one. The final retelling of the original series.

Out of curiosity, how old are you? The reason why I ask its because this happens to be a pretty old anime. The GOOD kind. Not like these naruto BS and Bakukaku-whatever the hell-mon. Anyways, watered down, this anime is about big "mechas" piloted by 3 members of NERV. Ikari Shinji is the main character, along with Ayanami Rei and Langley Asuka (last name 1st mind you). They fight agaisnt the 'angels'. The whore story has a somewhat obscure, almost religious theme. Lay off Misato - shes all mine.

New anime is boring? Well, I guess that it depends on what you watch. Personally, I like naruto, but it seems as though I have a minority opinion. I also like one piece, bleach, full metal alchemist, paranoia agent (that's a heads or tails anime. You love it or hate it), inuyasha was ok, rurouni kenshin, azumanga daioh, excel saga, and monster rancher. That's just a short list. Some are old, some are new, but they're all good. I prefer inspirational/action stuff like one piece, naruto, and DBZ.
Did I say all new anime blows? Please note FLCL. I think I have watched almost every anime ever released. Whether you think Naruto is good or not is your opinion, just like it happens to be my opinion when I say that naruto defies all laws of physics by both blowing and sucking. I've seen all of the animes you've listed, and out of the list, I like One Piece and P.A was alright; Inuyasha was alright. Naruto inspires me to take a dump. I mean come on, whats up with Rock lee. Lame stiff anime.
I fail to see how one piece is better than naruto. Rock lee? That's your reason why naruto sucks and blows? For christ's sake, 85% of the time, the main characters on one piece are facefaulting, and the other 15% of the time, I keep wondering "is this a serious part?" because I really can't tell.
Then you sir lack that special 'anime taste'. One Piece is supposed to be funny and weird. On the other hand, naruto is supposed to be all 'serious and cool'. Guess what? They failed. Sure it has its funny moment, but all animes do. One Piece = comedy. Naruto = epic fail at attempting to create a cool ninja anime. Admit it, it sucks. Even if you don't like One Piece, they still delivered what they wanted - a VERY unique anime/comedy. Naruto is a limp penar trying to penetrate a woman. Ba-Zing!
Naruto is also a blend of comedy and action. I don't see how you don't see that.
I do love one piece, as well as naruto. I just think that naruto is a far more serious anime. True, one piece has some very good moments, like the entire enies lobby arc. Robin has a brilliantly crafted story. But then again, I noticed that she had far FAR more backstory than luffy. And it's not just her; a lot of the strawhat pirates have more of a backstory than luffy.
One Piece also tries to throw in jokes and goofy moments at very inappropriate times.
Do you remember right before the pirates went to fight the CP9? Luffy was going to deliver a powerful speech to robin, and he's just there picking his nose. Let me ask you, if you were trying to save your friend from a life of prison and torture, wouldn't you take it more seriously?
Don't take this as me hating one show or another. Rather, this is me liking one anime more.
And lets not forget, naruto has proved to be quite a big money maker. There have been at least 2x as many naruto games as one piece games. That's because the big corperations sell to the BIG MASSES. Even though one piece actually came before naruto, and is the THIRD highest selling manga for its publisher, naruto continues to put out more and more merchandise.
Though both one piece and naruto are comedic anime, naruto tries to take a more serious side to it. I (and many fans) can see that line between seriousness and comedy, whereas in One Piece, such a line does not exist. As such, when you enjoy a good moment of naruto, it's a sincere moment, usually pertaining to lonliness and friendship. In one piece, it's all smiles really. A tragedy, maybe, sprinked in a few hundred episodes in.
Since you can't see it, maybe it's you lacks that "anime taste."
So in other words, just because 999 out of a 1000 says Naruto rocks, I should follow? You're right, Naruto makes the money, because most kids now adays will watch anything; ie Pukemon. You wan't anime taste? FLCL, Slayers, TRIGUN, NGE, Cowboy Bebop, IRIA OVA, GitS, Ninja Scroll and many more 'obscure' animes. I gave naruto many chances, and everytime I got indigestion. ROCK LEEEEEE!! WOO fking awesome artwork! SO SERIOUS AND REALISTIIIIC AHHHHhhHH!! Lick my balls. Naruto sucks. End of story.

yeah the english dub is pretty good for most of the series.
Its just in some parts the japanese voice sounds so much more authentic.
e.g in when shinji screams in "end of evangelion" it litrally sends shivers done your spine. But english scream was kinda funny 0o

Just by watching this first part it reminds me of Bleach and Code Geass(code geass = best anime ever) combined with the monsters and it being in tokyo.

Wow.... Can people just simply state their opinions without being attacked? Personally, i enjoy many mainstream anime such as Bleach and Naruto.
However, some of the a bit obscure anime in America is good as well. Black Cat, InuYasha, Death Note, FMA (EPIC), Negima, and Gurren Laggan

Out of curiosity, how old are you? The reason why I ask its because this happens to be a pretty old anime. The GOOD kind. Not like these naruto BS and Bakukaku-whatever the hell-mon. Anyways, watered down, this anime is about big "mechas" piloted by 3 members of NERV. Ikari Shinji is the main character, along with Ayanami Rei and Langley Asuka (last name 1st mind you). They fight agaisnt the 'angels'. The whore story has a somewhat obscure, almost religious theme. Lay off Misato - shes all mine.

Quite the contrary my friend, I was simply asking because this anime is quite old, so I was just wondering how old you were, since it appears to be the 1st time you've seen it. I'm 25 years old and I still watch anime, although I must admit I like the "oldschool" anime. I haven't watched a single good anime since Cowboy Bebop. Well, FLCL has its own special place in my heart. I'm more into Slayers, Mamono Hunter Yoko, BubbleGum Crisis, TRIGUN...heck I even enjoyed Sailor Moon. Ninja Scroll, Iria

New anime is boring? Well, I guess that it depends on what you watch. Personally, I like naruto, but it seems as though I have a minority opinion. I also like one piece, bleach, full metal alchemist, paranoia agent (that's a heads or tails anime. You love it or hate it), inuyasha was ok, rurouni kenshin, azumanga daioh, excel saga, and monster rancher. That's just a short list. Some are old, some are new, but they're all good. I prefer inspirational/action stuff like one piece, naruto, and DBZ.

Did I say all new anime blows? Please note FLCL. I think I have watched almost every anime ever released. Whether you think Naruto is good or not is your opinion, just like it happens to be my opinion when I say that naruto defies all laws of physics by both blowing and sucking. I've seen all of the animes you've listed, and out of the list, I like One Piece and P.A was alright; Inuyasha was alright. Naruto inspires me to take a dump. I mean come on, whats up with Rock lee. Lame stiff anime.

I fail to see how one piece is better than naruto. Rock lee? That's your reason why naruto sucks and blows? For christ's sake, 85% of the time, the main characters on one piece are facefaulting, and the other 15% of the time, I keep wondering "is this a serious part?" because I really can't tell.

Then you sir lack that special 'anime taste'. One Piece is supposed to be funny and weird. On the other hand, naruto is supposed to be all 'serious and cool'. Guess what? They failed. Sure it has its funny moment, but all animes do. One Piece = comedy. Naruto = epic fail at attempting to create a cool ninja anime. Admit it, it sucks. Even if you don't like One Piece, they still delivered what they wanted - a VERY unique anime/comedy. Naruto is a limp penar trying to penetrate a woman. Ba-Zing!

Naruto is also a blend of comedy and action. I don't see how you don't see that.
I do love one piece, as well as naruto. I just think that naruto is a far more serious anime. True, one piece has some very good moments, like the entire enies lobby arc. Robin has a brilliantly crafted story. But then again, I noticed that she had far FAR more backstory than luffy. And it's not just her; a lot of the strawhat pirates have more of a backstory than luffy.

One Piece also tries to throw in jokes and goofy moments at very inappropriate times.
Do you remember right before the pirates went to fight the CP9? Luffy was going to deliver a powerful speech to robin, and he's just there picking his nose. Let me ask you, if you were trying to save your friend from a life of prison and torture, wouldn't you take it more seriously?
Don't take this as me hating one show or another. Rather, this is me liking one anime more.

And lets not forget, naruto has proved to be quite a big money maker. There have been at least 2x as many naruto games as one piece games. That's because the big corperations sell to the BIG MASSES. Even though one piece actually came before naruto, and is the THIRD highest selling manga for its publisher, naruto continues to put out more and more merchandise.

Though both one piece and naruto are comedic anime, naruto tries to take a more serious side to it. I (and many fans) can see that line between seriousness and comedy, whereas in One Piece, such a line does not exist. As such, when you enjoy a good moment of naruto, it's a sincere moment, usually pertaining to lonliness and friendship. In one piece, it's all smiles really. A tragedy, maybe, sprinked in a few hundred episodes in.
Since you can't see it, maybe it's you lacks that "anime taste."

So in other words, just because 999 out of a 1000 says Naruto rocks, I should follow? You're right, Naruto makes the money, because most kids now adays will watch anything; ie Pukemon. You wan't anime taste? FLCL, Slayers, TRIGUN, NGE, Cowboy Bebop, IRIA OVA, GitS, Ninja Scroll and many more 'obscure' animes. I gave naruto many chances, and everytime I got indigestion. Don't put words in my mouth. I don't mean that you should follow- you should just not say that naruto sucks. There's a HUGE ass difference there dude.
And since when, at any given time, does anime actually replicate reality?? FLCL? I can respect the creators wish to make something really off the wall, but I appreciate things with a story. And if you're going to say that FLCL does have a story,

And another thing. Even if you hate a show, don't insult it, or the other people who watch it, and ESPECIALLY not when your argument is "SO SERIOUS AND REALISTIIIIC" because, after all, though anime is good, it hardly mimics what reality looks like.
And another thing, don't compare things out of age groups. Pokemon and cowboy bebop?
