They should make a BloodRayne 3. But focus on the aspects of BR 1. The dark gloomy game is just perfect, it makes you want to finish it, unlike BR2. I loved playing this game, and I've finished it a couple of times. Very very good game.
@123guu they already do have the backwards compatability thing, you either download it from xbox live or download it from the xbox site, burn it onto a disc and manually install it

The first bloodrayne was a masterpiece... you were fighting with cool paranormal trained nazi, with cool monsters(spiders, daemites, mutant vampires)and in the next game you are fighting with stupid junkies, rock emo bices etc.and the gameplay is really retarded i have to use 7-8 combo skillz to kill a tramp with a crowbar when in the first game one good hit and i decapitate a nazi with A GUN!!
In all seriousness, Glad you appreciated BR1 so much. I liked the idea of smashing two different genres together w/ vampires/monsters and WWII.
I left before BR2 started proper, and like you said, they pursued some other directions (which some people prefer to BR1). It felt more like Blade w/ a chick lead to me.
But #2 did some good stuff we wanted for the first one but didn't have time to get working - like acrobatics and rail sliding.
I was the lead designer and one of the main character artists for BR1. This was going to be a short video before the start screen, but we ended up getting a full budget treatment from Blur Studios instead.
Very cool, BR1 is awesome.

bloodrayne 2 has some bad/good things:
-cool acrobatics
-the weapons are lame(you need blood to shoot not bullets)
-bloodreayne has a better sense of humour but looks like my grandma
-the enemy is more annoying and hard
-the boss is like: YOU STUPID OVERPOWERED SHIIIT DIE ALLREADY!
-that's not a story is an excuse to chop shit
-cool visions with levels
-the combo and moves are to hard to make and you can see the carnage you make
-you had succes in ROMANIA with the first game
