Mr. Soroush says that Khomeini always emphasised people's vote, isn't that because he was sure that in the religious hysteria he had created he was sure he would get the vote? Surely that is not because he was democratic. It is very hypocritical of Mr. Soroush to mention Khomeini as a champion of democracy.

I understand what you mean but I also believe that Mr Soroosh did mention in this video that it is not clear what Khomeini wanted because he told different things in different occasions. Mr. Soroosh came to this point at the end that people's votes are recongnized out of the damn religions, no matter what the religions say ... ! Anyway this is my opinion therefore I thought that this video was worth to be put here which can cause useful discussions and thoughts in us as the judges of his words!
