I love this footage! I thought this was a performance at The Forum in 1970. But, love to see J5 at their prime during their Jackson5mania! Love the album, 'Live At The Forum' and it was just pure amazement!
This is brilliant! I have the Live at the Forum album and have been dying to see some footage from the concert. God, Michael was amazing. A born showman. Still missing him every single day.
@rachel7036 This may have been in 1970. I saw them back then. They were at the San Francisco Cow Palace, and I believe they appeared at the L.A Forum the very next day. My older sister, friends, and I kept up with their tour schedule. During the summer we would call our local radio station KDIA, to find out when they were coming to town, so that we could get the best seats. You are right. JACKSON MANIA!!
we know MJ was beyond his years and talent in rare air that few artist have breathed, but we are hard pressed to see talent coming out now that's even half as talented as his brotha's, heck Jermaine has the voice of an angel without studio help too, the jacksons got the lott of talent poured on their entire family with a cherry & crown on top called Michael Jackson,
WHAT HAPPENED TO TRUE TALENT LIKE THIS GUYS...THEY SURE KNEW HOW TO TAKE CONTROL OF EVERYTHING...THANK YOU MRS. KATHERINE FOR BRINGING THIS GUYS TO EARTH...TRUE FANS OF MJ WILL SEE HIM AGAIN IN HEAVEN......
Incredible talent at such a young age; it doesn't stop to amaze me. I guess this was a real show, because you can hear the audience sheer (as they should!!).
@8mycrab thank you for sending me beautiful memories.
You forget that he was only like 12 yrs old... Such an ole soul in a little body... Mike is a yr. younger then me and when I see footage of the J5 like this it brings back memories... I would beg my mom to buy me a tiger beat or 16 mag. so I could have a new picture of Mike to stick up on my wall lol... Dang, I miss him... :(
Look at that little Master of Ceremonies! He just RAN THE SHOW from the time he was a little tike. No wonder he said he felt like he was a veteran (retiring age) before he was 25. He was brilliant but such a sacrifice, bless him.
All of them were awesome but no doubt that Michael had something very special that you couldn't take your eyes off him. You just don't want to miss a second of everything he does. He really had the spotlight and a halo over his head. Proof was what you saw years later. Look where it got him and what became of him. He turned out to be the most famous person in the world and became a true KING!!!! Long live the KING for eternity.....
as I watch this vid and it brings tears to my eyes, I think if it ever crossed little Michael's mind that he was going to be someone bigger than the world put together. Besides being a true talent and genius, I see him more as a miracle, something out of this world that we probably will never see again not unless the world starts all over again. Demons sent him to heaven but he will always be in our hearts and no one will ever take him from there.
@AlovesMJ I'm sorry, that was not my intention but I still cry almost everyday just seeing on these videos. I am another crazy fan that just adores him. We miss him so,so much but lets be thankful that he is so happy with his bestfriend Jesus and so much alive in our hearts.
"Is he a fool, is he a fool? Get him!" - So darn adorable!!! That sweet little boy needed to be able to act like a kid as an adult because as a boy he was already a little man. Isn't that just so clear? Michael, thank you for all the magic you've given us
I looooove this, this needs to be released!! Michael is amazing, and sooo funny... he really knows how to work a crown..."Now we got a ham, ha. Ok are you ready for Marlon!" Michael is soooo cute
Motown has to release some of this footage. This is too priceless!! I believe this is from their first concert as major label artist; correct me if I am wrong but I believe this in Philadelphia, Pa.
@Unique9773 No. Ronnie and Johnny were not their cousins. Joe, I guess thought it would be good to present them like that as a part of the act. They were just as much a part of the group. I wish they were played up more, since they were there from the beginning.
@strawberryiesable ...it was all in fun...it is all a part of the show. Those brothers loved each other and never had that problem when they were together in the early years..that's why their perdormances were so tight...
I have ALWAYS wanted to hear them do the "Thank You' song live!!!! I only heard it on the Jackson's Mini Series!!! Loved it!!! 5:13 to 6:10 might just be the best moment in my memories of the Jacksons!!!
Marlon was gettin it man!! I looooove the way Michael said, "Now we got, my brother Jackie Jackson" at 3:09. His whole attitude and swagger when he said that had me lmao. Also when we was like, "Marlon get it, get it, get it man!" at 4:14. They were all so talented and cute.
lol it shows in the Jacksons American Dreams movie and Michael even said so himself in an interview that Marlon had a tough time learning how to do the dance moves when the group first formed! I'm so happy Marlon ROCKED it! lmao! I heart you J5 xoxo!
Lol.JACKIE WAS GETTIN' IT!!! HE WAS STICKIN' IT TO THE LEFT & STICKIN' IT TO THE RIGHT Lmao. And the look he gave micheal when he said he wasn't nothin'....woah.
What you mean, you hate to say it, Marlon is the second best dancer of the Jackson 5, probably was the best but Barry Gordy gave the lead singer all the best dance moves and plus he deserved to steal the show on this song because Michael always get the attention! Marlon: No!

Michael: I need someone's help.
Jackie: Hey fellas! Do you want to help Michael out?
Marlon: No!
Marlon is a funny person to hang out with, right? :D

Yes, he was, and he turned into a sexy ham, watch the Victory tour ;-)
God they were sooo tight with their harmonies in that last song, just heavenly.
I so happy someone had a camera that night and got this on film.
I wonder if there is a professional live recording somewhere?
Wouldn't that be FANTASTIC!
