@seanamico Well, it's played live in the movie, isn't it? So I'm afraid there is no version you could purchase; if there is a soundtrack, surely they put the studio version onto it (which is not nearly as good imho)...

@JonValkenberg, They usually sell sound tracks from movies and it would be the same as the movie but I never found it. I have her singing it but not like the movie and its a different version and not quite as good as this.

@seanamico I've had some experiences with buying soundtracks. It happens quite often, that the version on the soundtrack is different from the version in the movie (e.g. O Brother where art thou). In this case I'm pretty sure on a possibly available soundtrack there would be a different version, because in the movie it seems to be a life performance - which I find artistically perfect, but technically its not adequate for an only-audio publication.

@impCaesarAvg : Hi, yes you are right of course. I did not mean to disparage her (or Americans in general). Far from it. Actually her Italian is not that bad. I just keep on wondering why noone tells a singer this little problem with the -e endings. "me a te" sounds like "may a tay" with angloamerican accent. Everything else sounds good and could be easily improved. Well, German accent is a lot worse :-) Italian's English sounds funny indeed - like Chico Marx :-)

This is one of those films that I've only truly developed an emotional connection due to one or two particular scenes. Fran Jeffries happens to have one of the more idyllic, curvaceous bods I've seen perform live music. Madonna's is equally formidable.

But when you watch the REST of "The Pink Panther," it's not AS hilarious as the rest of the Peter Sellers/Herbert Lom pairings. For this scene alone, I bought the DVD.
