ahhhh...Im a Catholic,,,and I dont know what you mean by "at last" we have been telling the world the exact same things for nearly 2000 years....you make it sound like you just brought the revelation to the world lol
Wow what utter crap. Anyone can look these up and see they are wrong. Isaiah 7:14 "-his name Immanuel". No know one knows of Jesus birth place. It was never written until 400 years after he died. John 12:13-15 makes it clear that Zec 9:9 was a self fulfilled prophecy. Zec 11:12 meet Zec 11:13 "And the LORD said to me, “Throw it to the potter”—the handsome price at which they valued me! So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter at the house of the LORD."
I have no doubt Jesus is who the Gospel tell us he was and that the bible is the inspired word of God and a historical fact. I have study the bible from so many angles and unlike some that probably have tried reading it them selves and couldn't understand it and than proclaim it is fill of holes, it simply isn't and to look at how it came about, there are no men, from yesterday, today or tomorrow capable of making such a book happen. I look at other supposedly holy books and none compare!
It is rather frustrating for Jews whose scriptures have been taken on by another faith, changed, and then, historically, used by Christianity to ‘prove’ that Jews are ‘wrong’ and that Jesus is ‘foreshadowed’ in the Jewish scriptures!
*Some* Christians argue that they understand the Jewish texts better than Jews themselves. Yet Jews study the Tanakh, for the most part, in the original Hebrew. Most Christians study the OT, which is a translation OF a translation OF the Tanakh.
@7F0X7 There are no contemporary mentions of Jesus anywhere, including the Bible. None of the books of the Bible were written contemporarily, and the earliest extra-Biblical mentions of him are in Josephus, written half a century after the purported facts, and also deemed inauthentic by many scholars. Regardless, the comparison to Tom Sawyer is appropriate, because the point was that reality can be mixed with fantasy. Identifying some real things in a story does not imply everything is real.
@7F0X7 To the extent the NT discusses real history and archeaology, in no way does that confirm the whole thing. I doubt anyone would read Tom Sawyer, and conclude that since it accurately depicts the time period it is set in, therefor Tom really tricked kids into paying him to paint the fence. But anyway, you missed the point. If Jesus predicts something unlikely, and we can confirm it really happened, then to a nonChristian, that's stark evidence that the text was written *after* the fact
@eventhisidistaken Your tom sawyer analogy is totally broken. We know the author and origin of that book while we have written historical accounts of Jesus OUTSIDE of the Bible
And your "written after the fact" point really shows how unwilling you are to think critically. The Dead Sea scroll prove that all the messianic prophesies were written many centuries before the events took place in such an exact manner that it couldn't have been orchestrated. Why don't you face reality and repent to God?
The DSS prove absolutely nothing except that the Jewish Tanakh is accurate. They say nothing about the NT or Jesus. Nothing in the Tanakh is about Jesus, fix. Give it up. God doesn't belong to the fundies.
@Matthew1944 Isaiah 53: 4-5: "Surely he has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes we are healed."
Who do you think these Bible verses are about written 700+ years BC? Who else in all history could this possible refer to? Open your eyes and believe in the truth that is Jesus Christ.
@7F0X7 As a starting point, let us look at Isaiah 53 to try to identify the subject being spoken about. . The obvious question we need to ask ourselves is; does this chapter ever mention the name Jesus or the words Messiah or son of G-d? The answer is obviously, no. . So who is the subject being referred to? The answer is “servant” So who is this suffering servant? ,
@7F0X7 2)To find this answer, we ask who would be the best person to ask what Isaiah meant when Isaiah wrote in the book of Isaiah about the servant? The answer is obviously Isaiah himself. We are going to start back in Isaiah chapter 41, making note of references to the servant.
41:8-9. But you, Israel , are my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.
44:1-2. Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel , whom I have chosen
@7F0X7 By the way, the correct translation is "“from the sins of my people, were they stricken.” NOT "for the transgression of my people, was he stricken.”
@Matthew1944 Excuse me, but the "correct translation" is the KJV as it has a complete concordance to back up every single word in it. so the lines "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes we are healed." is correct and accurate to the original Hebrew. Now you KNOW this can't possible refer to Isaiah himself so all you can do is grasp at straws and claim the translation isn't right when it is.
@7F0X7 Well, Your "correct translation" does't match the ORIGINAL. The KJV is probably the poorest translation of the bible available. In just the first five books of the OT (the Torah) There are 304,805 letters (approximately 79,000 words). In over 3,000 years, spelling variants have emerged on a total of 9 words -- with absolutely no effect on their meaning.
@Matthew1944 "with absolutely no effect on their meaning." You have proven my point for me. In over 3,000 YEARS, only a handful of minor spelling errors by translators of God's Holy Word. That is incredible! Yes I know about the Catholic text that the Jesuits killed many people over to maintain (the one you keep comparing the KJV to) that was actually perverted gnostic scripture and just because it predated the FIRST FOUND COPY of the Textus Receptus does not mean it was the original. CONT.
@7F0X7 In over 3000 years, the JEWISH Torah has the minor errors - NOT the Christian bible. And that is because God directed that not one word must be added or taken away from it, so the scribes counted the letters on each line, so precise was the copying. The original that I speak of is the Jewish Tanakh upon which your OT is loosely based.
@7F0X7 2) Even now with the advent of the DSS, those fragments are identical to the present day Tanakh. The present day Christian bible isn't even the same as the Sinai bible which is also a Christian bible and is the oldest Christian bible today.
@Matthew1944 And you so called "ORIGINAL" has many problems that I could point out such as missing the entire book of Revelation. I believe the Textus Receptus is the most scrutinized and trustworthy collection of scripture and I believe the Almighty God is perfectly capable of preserving His own Word. There's tons of evidence to support my belief if you'd only research it. If anything, I hope you will be open minded enough to look at the evidences that you don't agree with. I know I have.
@7F0X7 By original, I mean the Jewish Tanakh upon which your OT is based. Your quotes to me previously were from Isaiah which is in the Tanakh and the translation I gave you comes from it.
@Matthew1944 I'm not going to argue with you anymore. I can read Strong's Concordance on those Isaiah scriptures and see that the original Hebrew words have to same meaning like anyone with a brain. The truth is that all you want to do is try and poke holes in it (whether they are valid points or not) so you won't have to feel convicted over your private life style. If you want to die and go to hell that badly then be my guest, but you're not going to diminish my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
@7F0X7 You have strongs concordance that gives meaning to isaiah scriptures mistranslated and misinterpreted right from the get go when Christian translators translated from Hebrew to Greek and then to English. Even in your own NT, translated only from Koine Greek to English, 12 verses have been added to Mark and Matthew 28:19 has been interpolated into a trinity. I don't need to poke holes in it - they are already there. My private lifestyle is no less upright than yours.
@7F0X7 2) The Christian Bible, in comparison, has over 200,000 variants and in 400 instances, the variants change the meaning of the text; 50 of these are of great significance.
If we examine the oldest known Bible to date, the "Sinai Bible" housed in the British Museum , there is a staggering 14,800 differences from today's Bible and that includes the KJV.
The fulfillment of OT prophecies within the NT, is seen as proof that the NT stories are simply made up, to anyone who does not consider the NT to be anything more than texts written by humans. This type of "proof" only works on people who start with the assumption that the Bible is more than just a collection of ancient texts.
@eventhisidistaken ummm no troll, the historical and archeological evidence of the NT OUTSIDE of the Bible is seen as the proof of the NT. Why don't YOU go do some research instead of spreading lies?
@7F0X7 Why don't YOU go do some research instead of spreading lies?"
Figures you would have FOX in your moniker. YOU are the one spreading mistruths, fox. Archaeologists do not claim that all or even most of the Bible is historically accurate, merely that the Bible reflects the spiritual culture of the Israelites .
@7F0X7 2)Some of the major non-supernatural Biblical story elements correspond to physical artifacts .i.e. the Hebrew Kingdoms of David and Solomon in inscriptions that were traced to non-Hebrew cultural origin, the Dead Sea Scrolls and House of David inscription.
There is no archeological evidence at all for the Jesus story.
@Matthew1944 umm how about the cloth that Jesus was wrapped in that still can't be discredited to this day? Do you live under a rock or something? They tested the shroud of turin a few months ago on the history channel again and found that it is almost certainly the real deal. If you wanna argue with me then at least get your facts straight.
@7F0X7 UMMMM - fundie password?????? how about the cloth that Jesus was wrapped in "
The shroud was dated to 200 years short of the years of Jesus death.
Catholic Encyclopedia : “ A certain difficulty was caused by the existence elsewhere of other Shrouds similarly impressed with the figure of Jesus Christ and some of these cloths, notably those of Besançon, Cadouin, Champiègne, Xabregas, etc., “
"Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist--he denies the Father and the Son."- 1 JOHN 2:22
2 John 1:7 Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.
Hell is not about roasting flesh. Its about God using fire to describe the agony of eternal emptiness and regret in hopes that we receive eternal life and stop rejecting what is best.
You take warning as threats and then whine about the threats. You are an utter fool. Remember that much of what I write is for the benefit of others. You made ur choice and there is little or no hope for u.
WHY IS IT EVERY U-TUBE DEBATE BETWEEN A RABBI (THEY ALSO KNOW THE "NEW" TESTEMENT) AND A CHRISTIAN SCHOLAR THE RABBIS ALWAYS DESTROY THESE GUYS?? WHY ARE CHRISTANS SO WORRIED ABOUT ME? IF I DON'T BELIEVE IN WHAT THEY DO I'M DOOMED?? JEWISH PEOPLE DON'T CARE WHAT I BELIEVE AND THEY NEVER TRY TO PROSELYTIZE OTHER PEOPLE TO JOIN THEM..
@j919or NO OFFENSE TAKEN.. THEIR ARE A HOST OF U-TUBE VIDIOS YOU CAN PULL UP AND JUDGE FOR YOURSELFE. I HAVE WATCHED AS MANY AS I CAN FIND. SEARCHING FOR THE "TRUTH" YOU KNOW.
@siannarino Jesus is the truth incarnate. ASk Jesus to take control of ur life and change the way that you think. Remember Jesus is God incarnate and experientially knowable to all that seek God to control their lives and make them become what they were orignally created to be.
@j919or WHY DO YOU GUYS DO THAT??? I HAVE READ THE BIBLE TWO TIMES AND AM NOW FINISHING UP JOB AND WILL HAVE READ IT FOUR TIMES. LET ME REACH MY OWN CONCLUTION. I FEEL NOW THAT G_D HAS NO SON." HERE OH ISRIAEL THE OUR G_D THE LORD IS ONE." JEWS WOULD'NT RECITE THAT BEFOR PRAYING IF IT MEANT NOTHING.
@siannarino God doesnt have a son in the way that we think. God having a son means that his essense/Spirit is in a created body. Jesus was God come to earth in a body. When the Spirit of God inhabits believers, they become sons of God. You have a deist view that God is not personally interactive with His creation. And you prolly like the concept of a God that lets u live the way u want.
Jesus has already said the He is GOD Almighty. Jesus said, "I Am the Alpha and the Omega the Beginning and the End, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty" (Revelation 1:8)... Only God can claim that He is ALMIGHTY.. So muslims, repent now... He is coming soon.
a video with substance will not have you read everything off the screen, while playing dramatic ass tear jerking. its power point, with crappy music. guys - look at the "prophetic" verses in context, compared to actual history, sometimes compared to its original language, and they dont add up. i sent a minister an email on this subject last night. he's gonna respond with more later...
JC would have been better if he didn't believe in a god. for one thing, he wouldn't have referred back to the old testament which was horribly immoral. Otherwise, if he existed, the basic idea of his was pretty cool. I see nothing wrong with someone traveling around telling people to be nice to each other. The miracles, of course, I don't believe in. There was no good reason to tell 'big fish' stories along with the basic concept.
@skywize Isaiah 57: Whom are you mocking? At whom do you sneer and stick out your tongue? Are you not a brood of rebels, the offspring of liars? You burn with lust among the oaks and under every spreading tree; you sacrifice your children in the ravines and under the overhanging crags.
Psalm 10:4:The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
2 Pet 2:10 Bold and arrogant, these men are not afraid to slander celestial beings.
What race is god? If we are made in his image then he must be white, or black, or indian, or Japanese, or Arab...... And wouldn't his son be the same? Since god is invisible, then so is his son. That seems to be the most plausible. I think I will just refer to god as Dark Matter--the stuff in space that influences everything....oh wait, that's science. Religion is to Science, as a visit to a garbage dump is to a strolling in a beautiful garden. This video was a collosal waste of time.
@Truthsleuth5 God is a spiritual being. what you mentioned is merely visual. its time to "see" beyond your senses. the word "image" goes beyond that. it also refers to the ability to create, and to choose through freewill. Science cannot explain everything, and never will.
Christianity is the oldest religion because it says so in the bible, the bible doesn't lie because it's the word of god. we know it's the word of god because it tells us it is, ¬_¬ can you not see how stupid this is?
Jesus's message was not unique. Neither were his miracles. His story is a repeat, one that's been told my dozens of other cultures. The only unique part of Jesus is his name, if the maker of this video studied anything other than bullshit, he'd know that.
@lesenfantterribles Not sir, you are mistaken, the Bible clearly verifies that there was and are false prophets who claim that hey have done such miracles.
@Ucarioon Christianity is the oldest religion because it says so in the bible, the bible doesn't lie because it's the word of god. we know it's the word of god because it tells us it is, ¬_¬ can you not see how stupid this is?
@Ucarioon The bible is the proof of the bible's validity.... Damn! I love circular logic! lmao. By the way, for all that are reading, I AM GOD. If you don't believe me, ask me! I would never lie because I am God. If you need more proof, you are reading it, for I, your god, am the author!
@lavaxtris1 I am a god, not a prophet. Nowhere in the bible (to my knowledge) does it speak of a god knowing the future. If I am wrong, please let me know. Also, the god from the bible did not know the future. If he did, he would not have created the Morning Star. If he knew how that would turn out, than the god is a truly evil creature, is he not?
@skywize God knows what is to happen, but has limited control over the freewill he has given to the angels and mankind. you cannot blame a God for creating a evil creation, such as yourself, as it is purely an act of freewill. the "Morning Star" was God's way of showing the humans that he had learned the mistakes of cruel punishment from the old testament, and it was God's way of "seeing what the humans went through" in terms of temptation and sin.
@lavaxtris1 ok... Still no info on the whole future knowledge thing in the bible than? Free will has nothing to do with this at all. The creation of Lucifer was no lesson. He was meant to be an angel like the rest. The god did not know the future. If he was truly good, he would not have created something evil. In other words, he is either ignorant of the future or prone to evil himself.
@lavaxtris1 A truly omnipotent and omniscient power would be able to make a paradise without evil while allowing for free will. omnipotent means that you can do ANYTHING. So it is possible for an omnipotent being to do anything conceivable. Now.... being omniscient as well, he can conceive of anything.... Can he think of something that he cannot do?
@skywize possibly, but he must first create a rule to reinforce it. much like gravity is a rule that keeps us bound to the earth, good and evil are also rules set by God. a TRUELY omnipotent and omniscient being would defy any and all logic described by man, so it would not matter if anything was impossible in this universe. you could say that God can do no evil, but what is evil? evil can only be the law set down by Him.
@lavaxtris1 Does the bible not say that the god tells us to stone people to death? Wasn't there a bit about the god telling Moses (or was it Noah?....) to lead an army into a village, kill every male, and 'take' all the virgins for his soldiers?... ok, I think I got that a bit wrong, but you should recall it none the less. That is an act of evil. Saying that it is not simply because it was the god that did it says quite a bit about your own mental state.
@skywize the new testament says that he without sin shall cast the first stone. the war with Moses was not without reason. it was an act of vengeance because the Midian betrayed Israel. this was in the Old Testament. the people of Midian were also mentioned in the Qur'an. the people of Israel are God's chosen people. if you are against Israel you are against God. people today are still fighting against Israel. some are trying to make its capital into a Palestinian state right now.
@lavaxtris1 I think we should plow it over, personally. Don't kill anyone, just level it, then radiate it. No one will fight over radiated desert. If people want to respect other's religions, that is fine, I don't respect anyone who will kill over a patch of dirt some old book says is holy land. Anyone who fights for something like that is a moron, and that goes for both sides.
@skywize I agree with the second part, but fighting over Israel is more than just fighting over the dirt. Its also the people that live there, their religion, and their ultimate fate stated within the bible. I really dont know why the people constantly fight over it, but it seems that a force, or perhaps fate, its expecting them to do so. All anyone can do right now is support Israel.
@lavaxtris1 I can't support idiocy, especially when it leads to such misery. Any smart person who lived there would move out and let the other idiots have it. If they want it that bad, let em have it. My ass would be on a flight to Bermuda.
@skywize its not idiocy. why leave your home when you have support from the neighbors, a home, virtually no means of going anywhere else? they cant all take flights out of there. and why give up your home to a bunch of people who want to take it from you? to me, THAT'S idiocy.
@lavaxtris1 When is the last time you were in the same city as some idiot who blew himself up along with a room full of people? Living there is not the wisest of decisions.
@skywize God does predict the future in Matthew 24, Ezekiel 38, Revelation 13, 2 Thessallonians and many other books of the Bible. God is not evil, that is why He is warning everyone of the coming dangers that satan created. God bless you
@TheApocalyps4 Mathew was Christ, not the god. (read above about prophets). Ezekiel sounded more less like a prophesy and more like a boast... for lack of a better word.... Regardless, I personally don't know if this came true, it may have. There were prophesies of Christ's birth at some point too.... which is why the bible has him being born in two different places at two different times. Two different people perhaps?
The destruction of Jerusalem happened a generation after Jesus supposedly said this, right?. Therefore, Titus (the good son) fulfilled the "prophecy" a generation later? The gospel of Matthew was written AFTER 70 AD and the story of Jesus was back-dated a generation before. Do you follow?
Titus also had rebel leader Simon killed in Rome and spared the other rebel leader John. Again fulfilling prophesies of Jesus regarding a Simon and a John.
@Franknarfable The Gospel of Matthew was foretold and written way before 70 AD. It was then around 100-140 AD. that a christian bishop Papias of Hierapolis found and collected the manuscripts to be added to the scriptures. Please read and study the Bible along with the book of concordance. This is why Gods word is comprised of prophecies, because they were foretold before they occured. Thanks
@TheApocalyps4 - The vast majority of scholars would disagree with you. The gospels where written after 70 AD. I have just given you "prophesies" that Titus (the good son) fulfilled. He destroyed Jerusalem a generation after Jesus predicted.
Sounds like you're pretty deep in delusion so it's probably not worth us carrying this on. Unless of course you wish to know the truth and have it explained.
@Franknarfable " vast majority of scholars would disagree with you.The gospels where written after 70AD"
Right bc they assume that Jesus couldnt have predicted the destruction of the Jerusalem which occurred in 70AD.But little do these spawn of hell scholars know that witnesses of Jesus were still alive and would remember what he said. So to claim that he predicted it, when he didnt would draw huge criticism and doubt. These evil ones do the same with the book of Daniel.
@j919or - Seyoon Kim's 'Christ and Caesar', Carotta's 'Jesus was Caesar' and Atwill's 'Caesars Messiah' all support each other in proving that the New Testament was written by Romans.
Tell me what's got you vexed regarding book of Daniel?
@Franknarfable ""proving that the New Testament was written by Romans.""
Why mention it un;less u are prepared to debate it or at least support it with evidence. And if so then state ur reasons and why u think those reasons mean ahything.
@j919or - Have you read or are you aware of any of those books i mentioned? There is a documentary from Atwill coming out soon and further writings/explanations from him and Hudson.
After a bloody civil war and the Roman-Jewish wars, the Flavians reigned triumphant, they revived the Imperial Cult and wrote the gospels. They include references to Julius Caesar, Vespasian and Titus.
You not heard this before? I'm happy to debate points if you want.
@Franknarfable You wanna debate? Great! Start by giving evidence for you beliefs. Show why the gospels would exalt a lowly Jew and call him God that would eventually triumph over all including the Romans. Show how the Romans cared about atonement and forgiveness.
@j919or - I see recent discoveries like the parallels between the deaths of Ceasar and Jesus, the parallels between Paul and Josephus and Atwill's satirical parallels between Josephus and the NT.
They all point in the same direction - Roman authorship.
The question is, what information do you have that explains these parallels? They are all pretty easy to look up.
@TheApocalyps4 Bro...remember you are talking to evil vermin false teaching vile spawn of hell. I address them as such with no hope that they will change but only that others will read and be strengthened.
It would need to say that to look unique, wouldn't it? If the story had already been around, you'd HAVE to say something like "But everyone else who tells these stories are full of shit, this is the only real one!" even though the Ra story was the first, that's not an arguable point, sir.
Why people no beleive in good and evil? Love is real:) the fact that the concept ever existed, or was even thought of is good enough for me. Idk what I really beleive, I just hate people lol
@3bdallahw7amdh its a catholic thought that jesus is white. people were racist before, and they thought that "jesus, our savior cant be nothing less than white". i think that in the end of times that guy that looks just like that white jesus comes to earth as antichrist. google: sananda immanuel
prayed for a blow job from a 15 yr old Thai girl last night, and guess what?..... it came true!!! Praise jesus, he really is for real and must love Thai hookers too (who doesn't really, haha) Thankfully he ignored the prayers of those girls..... cuz lord knows they were prayin for a better life!!! Arent we lucky jesus only cares about us white, conservative, fat, lazy, bastards? Glory glory hallelujah!
Ive watched alot of videos that are supposed to have actual proof that jesus existed and so far ive only seen people talking about things from the bible! Even if it says in the bible it isnt actual evidence!!!
my input is the claims of jesus are not one of a kind, horus did the same thing, and i believe that jesus is a spin off of horus, but one thing that is interesting, noah's story, was a pagan story 6,000 years before the old testiment,it was found on a pagan tablet....
Then prove this, I have been clincally dead 18 times, the last time no one was in my bedroom to revive me after a heart attack to pay for my sins. So why I am still alive, and typing if he doesn't exsists? Or whatever he is supposedly doesn't exsists? Your wrong, I pray Jesus finds you and God finds and saves you all too.
you were just lucky man -.- tell god ( if he exists ) to stop the hunger and killings & everything in this world that is evil then you can say something until than just pssssssst
if i was the ruler of the earth, i would present all the facts that jesus is a goddam fake to all the believers, and if they still would blindly believe their farytale, i would have them raped and killed.
No ... i think the ruler today is the usa goverment ... I find them and their manipulating army and police forces more ... how do you say ... more realistic than some dude in the sky ... but maybe its just me i dont know ... btw if someone burnes your house these days and your -([God])- comes and take the fire out ... please do notify me ... i would rather call the fireman but you dont need it you got GOD right ?
Evidence has nothing to do with logic, and there is to much of them to refuse to beleive it. Oh and not, evolution has not been proven wrong. Its one of the most supported scientific theories in history. Its been proven countless of times through genetics, pantheology, archelolgy, geology and animal science (and more). Evolution has been observed and tested numerous times. Migration patterns and dating methods all independtly agree where and when speices existed. Scientics know its real!
It has been proven true, thats why we teach it in school. Evolution is called a theory just because its been PROVEN! Scientific theories must be proven to be allowed to be called theory, else its still a hypothesis. Oh and how do we go from evolution to Jesus? Wheres the parallell? And how is Jesus the safe side? Why not Allah or Thor?
ahhhh...Im a Catholic,,,and I dont know what you mean by "at last" we have been telling the world the exact same things for nearly 2000 years....you make it sound like you just brought the revelation to the world lol

7F0X7 2 months ago
@7F0X7 As a starting point, let us look at Isaiah 53 to try to identify the subject being spoken about. . The obvious question we need to ask ourselves is; does this chapter ever mention the name Jesus or the words Messiah or son of G-d? The answer is obviously, no. . So who is the subject being referred to? The answer is “servant” So who is this suffering servant? ,
Matthew1944 2 months ago
@7F0X7 2)To find this answer, we ask who would be the best person to ask what Isaiah meant when Isaiah wrote in the book of Isaiah about the servant? The answer is obviously Isaiah himself. We are going to start back in Isaiah chapter 41, making note of references to the servant.
41:8-9. But you, Israel , are my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.
44:1-2. Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel , whom I have chosen
Matthew1944 2 months ago
@7F0X7 3)44:21. Remember these, O Jacob and Israel ; for you are my servant
49:3 …You are my servant, O Israel , in whom I will be glorified.
42:19. Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger whom I sent? Who is blind as he who is perfect, and blind as the Lord’s servant?
Blind as the Lord’s servant? This certainly can’t apply to perfect Jesus. But this can apply to the Jews who did stray from time to time.
The suffering servant is Israel.
Matthew1944 2 months ago
@7F0X7 By the way, the correct translation is "“from the sins of my people, were they stricken.” NOT "for the transgression of my people, was he stricken.”
Matthew1944 2 months ago
@Matthew1944 Excuse me, but the "correct translation" is the KJV as it has a complete concordance to back up every single word in it. so the lines "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes we are healed." is correct and accurate to the original Hebrew. Now you KNOW this can't possible refer to Isaiah himself so all you can do is grasp at straws and claim the translation isn't right when it is.
7F0X7 2 months ago
@7F0X7 Well, Your "correct translation" does't match the ORIGINAL. The KJV is probably the poorest translation of the bible available. In just the first five books of the OT (the Torah) There are 304,805 letters (approximately 79,000 words). In over 3,000 years, spelling variants have emerged on a total of 9 words -- with absolutely no effect on their meaning.
Matthew1944 2 months ago
@Matthew1944 "with absolutely no effect on their meaning." You have proven my point for me. In over 3,000 YEARS, only a handful of minor spelling errors by translators of God's Holy Word. That is incredible! Yes I know about the Catholic text that the Jesuits killed many people over to maintain (the one you keep comparing the KJV to) that was actually perverted gnostic scripture and just because it predated the FIRST FOUND COPY of the Textus Receptus does not mean it was the original. CONT.
7F0X7 2 months ago
@7F0X7 In over 3000 years, the JEWISH Torah has the minor errors - NOT the Christian bible. And that is because God directed that not one word must be added or taken away from it, so the scribes counted the letters on each line, so precise was the copying. The original that I speak of is the Jewish Tanakh upon which your OT is loosely based.
Matthew1944 2 months ago
@7F0X7 2) Even now with the advent of the DSS, those fragments are identical to the present day Tanakh. The present day Christian bible isn't even the same as the Sinai bible which is also a Christian bible and is the oldest Christian bible today.
Matthew1944 2 months ago
@Matthew1944 And you so called "ORIGINAL" has many problems that I could point out such as missing the entire book of Revelation. I believe the Textus Receptus is the most scrutinized and trustworthy collection of scripture and I believe the Almighty God is perfectly capable of preserving His own Word. There's tons of evidence to support my belief if you'd only research it. If anything, I hope you will be open minded enough to look at the evidences that you don't agree with. I know I have.
7F0X7 2 months ago
@7F0X7 By original, I mean the Jewish Tanakh upon which your OT is based. Your quotes to me previously were from Isaiah which is in the Tanakh and the translation I gave you comes from it.
Matthew1944 2 months ago
@Matthew1944 I'm not going to argue with you anymore. I can read Strong's Concordance on those Isaiah scriptures and see that the original Hebrew words have to same meaning like anyone with a brain. The truth is that all you want to do is try and poke holes in it (whether they are valid points or not) so you won't have to feel convicted over your private life style. If you want to die and go to hell that badly then be my guest, but you're not going to diminish my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
7F0X7 2 months ago
@7F0X7 You have strongs concordance that gives meaning to isaiah scriptures mistranslated and misinterpreted right from the get go when Christian translators translated from Hebrew to Greek and then to English. Even in your own NT, translated only from Koine Greek to English, 12 verses have been added to Mark and Matthew 28:19 has been interpolated into a trinity. I don't need to poke holes in it - they are already there. My private lifestyle is no less upright than yours.
Matthew1944 2 months ago
@7F0X7 2) The Christian Bible, in comparison, has over 200,000 variants and in 400 instances, the variants change the meaning of the text; 50 of these are of great significance.
If we examine the oldest known Bible to date, the "Sinai Bible" housed in the British Museum , there is a staggering 14,800 differences from today's Bible and that includes the KJV.
Matthew1944 2 months ago
The fulfillment of OT prophecies within the NT, is seen as proof that the NT stories are simply made up, to anyone who does not consider the NT to be anything more than texts written by humans. This type of "proof" only works on people who start with the assumption that the Bible is more than just a collection of ancient texts.
eventhisidistaken 2 months ago
@eventhisidistaken ummm no troll, the historical and archeological evidence of the NT OUTSIDE of the Bible is seen as the proof of the NT. Why don't YOU go do some research instead of spreading lies?
7F0X7 2 months ago
@7F0X7 Why don't YOU go do some research instead of spreading lies?"
Figures you would have FOX in your moniker. YOU are the one spreading mistruths, fox. Archaeologists do not claim that all or even most of the Bible is historically accurate, merely that the Bible reflects the spiritual culture of the Israelites .
Matthew1944 2 months ago
@7F0X7 2)Some of the major non-supernatural Biblical story elements correspond to physical artifacts .i.e. the Hebrew Kingdoms of David and Solomon in inscriptions that were traced to non-Hebrew cultural origin, the Dead Sea Scrolls and House of David inscription.
There is no archeological evidence at all for the Jesus story.

Truthsleuth5 10 months ago
@Truthsleuth5 God is a spiritual being. what you mentioned is merely visual. its time to "see" beyond your senses. the word "image" goes beyond that. it also refers to the ability to create, and to choose through freewill. Science cannot explain everything, and never will.

@skywize the way to prove that is to be able to know and prophetize the future. do you know the future? no, because you are not God.
lavaxtris1 5 months ago
@lavaxtris1 I am a god, not a prophet. Nowhere in the bible (to my knowledge) does it speak of a god knowing the future. If I am wrong, please let me know. Also, the god from the bible did not know the future. If he did, he would not have created the Morning Star. If he knew how that would turn out, than the god is a truly evil creature, is he not?
skywize 5 months ago
@skywize God knows what is to happen, but has limited control over the freewill he has given to the angels and mankind. you cannot blame a God for creating a evil creation, such as yourself, as it is purely an act of freewill. the "Morning Star" was God's way of showing the humans that he had learned the mistakes of cruel punishment from the old testament, and it was God's way of "seeing what the humans went through" in terms of temptation and sin.
lavaxtris1 5 months ago
@lavaxtris1 ok... Still no info on the whole future knowledge thing in the bible than? Free will has nothing to do with this at all. The creation of Lucifer was no lesson. He was meant to be an angel like the rest. The god did not know the future. If he was truly good, he would not have created something evil. In other words, he is either ignorant of the future or prone to evil himself.
skywize 5 months ago
@lavaxtris1 A truly omnipotent and omniscient power would be able to make a paradise without evil while allowing for free will. omnipotent means that you can do ANYTHING. So it is possible for an omnipotent being to do anything conceivable. Now.... being omniscient as well, he can conceive of anything.... Can he think of something that he cannot do?
skywize 5 months ago
@skywize possibly, but he must first create a rule to reinforce it. much like gravity is a rule that keeps us bound to the earth, good and evil are also rules set by God. a TRUELY omnipotent and omniscient being would defy any and all logic described by man, so it would not matter if anything was impossible in this universe. you could say that God can do no evil, but what is evil? evil can only be the law set down by Him.
lavaxtris1 5 months ago
@lavaxtris1 Does the bible not say that the god tells us to stone people to death? Wasn't there a bit about the god telling Moses (or was it Noah?....) to lead an army into a village, kill every male, and 'take' all the virgins for his soldiers?... ok, I think I got that a bit wrong, but you should recall it none the less. That is an act of evil. Saying that it is not simply because it was the god that did it says quite a bit about your own mental state.
skywize 5 months ago
@skywize the new testament says that he without sin shall cast the first stone. the war with Moses was not without reason. it was an act of vengeance because the Midian betrayed Israel. this was in the Old Testament. the people of Midian were also mentioned in the Qur'an. the people of Israel are God's chosen people. if you are against Israel you are against God. people today are still fighting against Israel. some are trying to make its capital into a Palestinian state right now.
lavaxtris1 5 months ago
@lavaxtris1 I think we should plow it over, personally. Don't kill anyone, just level it, then radiate it. No one will fight over radiated desert. If people want to respect other's religions, that is fine, I don't respect anyone who will kill over a patch of dirt some old book says is holy land. Anyone who fights for something like that is a moron, and that goes for both sides.
skywize 5 months ago
@skywize I agree with the second part, but fighting over Israel is more than just fighting over the dirt. Its also the people that live there, their religion, and their ultimate fate stated within the bible. I really dont know why the people constantly fight over it, but it seems that a force, or perhaps fate, its expecting them to do so. All anyone can do right now is support Israel.
lavaxtris1 5 months ago

TheApocalyps4 5 months ago
@TheApocalyps4 Mathew was Christ, not the god. (read above about prophets). Ezekiel sounded more less like a prophesy and more like a boast... for lack of a better word.... Regardless, I personally don't know if this came true, it may have. There were prophesies of Christ's birth at some point too.... which is why the bible has him being born in two different places at two different times. Two different people perhaps?
skywize 5 months ago
@TheApocalyps4 - Matthew 24? Are you joking?
Franknarfable 4 months ago
@Franknarfable The Gospel of Matthew was foretold and written way before 70 AD. It was then around 100-140 AD. that a christian bishop Papias of Hierapolis found and collected the manuscripts to be added to the scriptures. Please read and study the Bible along with the book of concordance. This is why Gods word is comprised of prophecies, because they were foretold before they occured. Thanks
TheApocalyps4 4 months ago

After a bloody civil war and the Roman-Jewish wars, the Flavians reigned triumphant, they revived the Imperial Cult and wrote the gospels. They include references to Julius Caesar, Vespasian and Titus.
You not heard this before? I'm happy to debate points if you want.

@j919or - I see recent discoveries like the parallels between the deaths of Ceasar and Jesus, the parallels between Paul and Josephus and Atwill's satirical parallels between Josephus and the NT.
