is Joey set a few years after Friends? since he says everyone's married (meaning Ross and Rachel could be too) which could take a year to plan, everyone has kids (meaning Phoebe and Mike could too, which would mean at least another 9 months) and I doubt Joey would be able to move from a NY apartment to an LA batchelor pad in less than a year based on how much money he had...

Friends was awesome! But this was just a bad idea... Its hard to stay on the same level of success as a show like friends. Plus I think they didn't do themselves any favours with the set on joey, it's awful, too big and just no life to it. Also friends success was determined by the relationships between the characters. All the friends characters on there own are actually quite boring when u think about it.... The situations they got into together were funny! Focusing on 1 of them is a bad idea,

@gareththomas088 I disagree, i'm actually glad Joey got his own show as he was the only one who didn't really get any sort of closure at the end of the series, and he was dumbed down a bit too much in the last few seasons, so it's nice to see him actually have common sense for once. Plus Gina is just hilarious.

michael is like a mix of chandler and ross

gina is like rachel but much more sluttier

monica could match a little bit with the blonde one

the writers should have put him in a different enviroment, that would have bern funnier im sure
