well if the ball bounces where he can easily drop it then the opponent's shot isn't really good, It would be good if you showed us how to drop the ball from a really good drive...
I like these videos. I thought squash was a gentlemen's sport, but that doesn't show on the many unfriendly comments on almost every instructional video I've seen so far. These videos are not aimed at pros or experienced players. Lighten up!
it's a good demonstation but u havent mentioned the T i have watched most of your vids and none of them have mention the T but i think you sound like a good coach and also some of the shots you have demonstrted dont look very hard to return
er yea, counterdrops are very effective shots, especially because when the opponents arent expecting a counterdrop, theyre usually rushing to run back to the T, and when they notice you dropped the ball again, theyre usually way out of position and off-balance to actually stop themselves and rush back to that corner that they were running from. and if they manage to return the ball, it will usually be a weak return
Lol nice video i managed to learn that fencing shot over time it's reay useful and you dont need to use it just for under pressure shots its also great for just a nice drop shot :)
My drop shots are virtually unreturnable everytime man. I can place the ball 1/4 inch above the tin line, with unbeleivable back/side spin. The ball rolls out of the nick every time man. So even if you're quick and start to run before i've even played the drop, there is no hope of returning it.
Great tip. The only thing that this approach does not do is disguise the shot. But as expert says you are under a lot of pressure. Thanks a bunch for this tip!

If you hit the nick, which is where the ball should land in that situation, an effective drive will be hard to perform.
TheDarthex 2 years ago
if you hit the nick, which is really hard with this shot, the ball rolls and you win
