@baddude698 Got in at the wrong end of that, brainless twat! Best to follow from the start if you want to know what's going on. Shut yer mask, you nicko mcbrain lookin' knob!
@baddude698 Do you actually understand what we've been debating? Do you actually think that I'm saying Pac hits harder than Tua? If you do then there's no point in continuing with this discussion. Think of what the words 'relative', 'pound for pound' and 'on average' mean.
@baddude698 ok here's the thing... i'm not fond of calling people "idiot retards", especially online, but "mayne", scroll down so you can see someone tried to pull off a "pacman's better" move and i tried to bring the flow of conversation back to Tua, you fuckin idiot retard!
@Ngarangi111 yeah true that ....the real bad thing was the cuzzie Shaneo's class.. fucking 0..idiot makes the "O for Awesome" T-shirts, talking a lil smack here and there saying he has too many tools its in the bag type shit...just no respect ....."NEK MINNIT" ....useless....LMAO...Now I'm from Mangere and Maori but was always backing Tua cause I just couldnt see shane winning .... mainly cause the fullar cuts too easily lol after all his shit .....GOOD JOB NAH take that to the bank bey lol
knocked completely out in 12 seconds & for that matter MICHAEL MOORER was OVERRATED also cuz TUA TKO him in like 18 seconds
IKE IBEABUCHI woulda been the best boxer ever if he had his mind right ... TUA was or is a BEAST with a GOOD CHIN & DEVASTATING KNOCKOUT POWER but his short HEIGHT & REACH he woulda almost always LOST to a GOOD BOXER with more HEIGHT & REACH who wanted to OUT POINT him
@CoolCumber187 I didn't say that the KO wasn't legit. But it was a great punch thrown by a C to B Level (on a GOOD day) to knock out a very overrated D level fighter, who just had a great manager/promoter to get him to the title.
@djvapid Did you see the last punch ?? His neck was completely loose when he got hit, he was out before he hit the canvas and still got hit flush to the chin by one of the most devastating punchers. Its punches like these which end lives...It is not the best KO, but definetly one of the most brutal ones..
@cientu2 John Ruiz had many fights after this, became heavyweight champ, and was never KO'd again so i think that it wasn't as lfe-changing a punch as you make out. Hatton, on the other hand, retired after the Pac KO, so I think you're overstating the Ruiz KO and underestimating the impact on Hatton of the Pac KO.
@irena7777777 all i can say is i'd rather get ko'ed by a single punch than bombarded with 1,000 punches from a HEAVYWEIGHT before being put to sleep, that's much safer for my brain lol. also, consider what Hatton's countrymen did to him after the fight. i think their words made Hatton quit boxing not the pacman ko itself.
@cientu2 Yeah, Tua hits harder but he's a HEAVYWEIGHT!! He hit another heavyweight. Pac's punch would hurt Hatton more than Ruiz because he has a smaller body and neck. It's all relative to size. Pound for pound, their are fighters at lighter weights who, on average, hit harder than Tua. Manny Steward says that Naseem Hamed hit like a heavyweight when he was only a featherweight. So, that in mind, he has a harder punch than Tua, p4p. And Hatton got big support in Britain after the Pac KO, btw
@irena7777777 wow... consider this... how much muscle can a heavyweight build up in his arms, legs, abdomen also his overall weight, all these are factors that can contribute to punching power. now compare that to how much he can build up his neck... and do you realize that it's physically impossible for a featherweight to punch like a heavyweight? some guy uses a superlative and you present it as if it was a fact lol.
@cientu2 No, that wasn't a superlative...it was a comparision. And punching power comes mostly from technique. Yeah, featherweights can't punch like heavyweights, which is exactly what I'm saying. But Manny Steward said that, not me. The point I'm trying to make is that Tua hitting Ruiz is not more devastating than Pac hitting Hatton because Ruiz has a heavyweight build and has body mass and build to be able to withstand those punches. Pound for pound, the pacman punch was probably harder.
@irena7777777 that's not my point though. my point is this kind of KO is a lot more career and life-threatening than a single-punch knockout... by the way, superlative can also mean exaggeration in language...
@irena7777777 my original post, the one which you replied to, is a comparison between the manner of ko, i was not in any way comparing Pacman's techniques and punching power to Ruiz'. i hope you understand now.
@cientu2 Not at all patronising there. No, you haven't made any sense and have back-tracked to suit your argument. Who cares? I made my valid point, the rest is subjective.
@irena7777777 " you said "It's all relative to size" then "And punching power comes mostly from technique." then "Punch power and their affects are relative to size and that is the end of the matter." and im the one dribbling here?
@cientu2 Yes, you are...wipe your chin. I maintain what I've said all along, you've been tweaking some nonsensical claptrap into different incarnations of an argument since this debate started. I know you agree with me...now shave a bollock.
@irena7777777 - compare that to "dude this type of ko kills", "my point is this kind of KO is a lot more career and life-threatening than a single-punch knockout", and "all i can say is i'd rather get ko'ed by a single punch than bombarded with 1,000 punches from a HEAVYWEIGHT before being put to sleep, " it is you who dont make sense, you dont know what valid argument is
@irena7777777 I mostly agree with you, but not 100%. Bigger guys hitting each other full force do slightly more damage than smaller guys doing the same thing. Just a little. Think of it this way - two elephants (or horses or anything big) running into each other full speed will do alot more damage to each other than two mice (or cats or anything small) running into each other full speed. Size can increase damage slightly more than toughness. Still agree with you 95% though.
@TheNZNick Good point. I agree with your analogy there. I don't agree with the other guy just point-blank refusing to accept how damaging a Pacquiao-esque punch can be to the lighter fighters. Of course, the big guys, especially the ones, like Tua, who can really punch, can be really damaging. But lighter fighters die in the ring, too. And it's rare that you hear of heavyweight boxing fatalities. Although, you do see many heavyweights showing the affects years into their retirement!
@irena7777777 Yeah, heavy weights and lightweights are still not nearly as big a size difference as cats and horses so the effect will not be that much. I agree a good techniqued hitter like Pac could really damage a guy, and lightweight fighters still hurt each other with big hits like 95% as much as the heavyweights do.
@cientu2 fact is most men would have been out cold from the first hook, ruiz had a solid chin and styed up...he then gets clocked with a right on the chin then the brutal left 3 hook is the real danger
@ballerketballer I think Lewis was the only one to ever give Tua a shot in a title fight. Tua was a fucking nightmare for anyone, I really admire Lennox lewis for taking him on.
