  • @zacqt - If you consider Christ your Apostle perhaps you could tell me if you keep the Law of Moses seeing that everything Jesus did was centered around the Law. In Mat 23 He teaching His disciples and others to keep the Law of Moses. Is this something you try to obey today?

  • @zacqt - Can you tell us what the mystery was that was revealed to Paul? Can you explain what the "preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery" is? Have you understood that it was through the gospel given to Paul that we learn the death, burial and resurrection of Christ was good news and that Christ died for our sins? Can you show where Peter,John,James offered the blood of Christ for the forgiveness of sins before Paul was saved? Why did God appoint another Apostle?

  • Wonderful message. Paul is without a doubt our Apostle today for the church, the Body of Christ. If only the more believers could come to understand this truth. To follow Paul IS to follow Christ today and our instructions and marching orders are to found only in his epistles.

The Book of Hebrews (I believe Paul is the author) will greatly needed and used by the tribulation saints during the great tribulation period.

To reject the authority of Paul is to reject God's chosen spokesman for today.

  • @bibledoctrine, lCor 1:13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul.

lCor 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is

    Jesus Christ.

    lCor 3:21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your’s;

3:23 And ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.

Hebrews 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling,

consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ

    Jesus; Check John 14v6

    Jesus not Paul.

  • @zacqt Paul was (and is) the Apostle of the Gentiles see Ro,11:13 while Jesus was a minister to the circumcision see Ro 15:8. Hebrews is written to the Hebrews and not the Body of Christ (Thus its name).

Paul said "Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me." (ICor 4:16 I Cor 11:1) To follow Paul IS to follow Christ today. He is God's appointed spokesman for the church today much like Moses was for Israel. To reject that is to reject the council of God.

    Paul is my Apostle.

  • @bibledoctrine, "...Hebrews and not the Body of Christ"??? not according to Jesus, Peter, Paul....etc Ephesians 2:16 And that he might reconcile **both** unto God in **one body** by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but

**fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;**

2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostle*s* and prophets,

    Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

  • @bibledoctrine, lCor 11v1 Be ye followers of "me", even as "I" also am of Christ.

Paul didn't mean literal followers of himself but the exsample he set, Paul bowed down to Christ, prayed to Christ called him Lord should we "Be ye followers of *me*," & worship Paul?. This is idolatry.

Also Paul's "my gospel" e.g. llTim 2:8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to **my gospel:** ?? Jesus was raised from the dead before Paul was a even a Christian.

  • @zacqt That is uncalled for to insinuate we worship Paul and thus are idolater's. But this is the sort of thing people resort to when they cannot by scripture support their false doctrines. We notice that Paul did not say be ye followers of Peter or John as examples of how to follow Christ. This should open your eyes that Paul is our example today of salvation and how to follow the risen Christ.

  • @bibledoctrine, lCor 1:12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

1:13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized

    in the name of Paul?

  • @zacqt It is clear you have no understanding of Paul and his ministry and that is why you ignore my questions and have no answers. I am truly sorry I have been unable to change your mind and help you to understand the importance of Paul and his message. Paul himself had trouble and had to defend his apostleship and message against those who resisted the truth in his day.

Please consider this dialogue between us finished for you have no answer or understanding in this matter.

  • @bibledoctrine, My Apostle is found in Hebrews ch3v1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

Ephesians 2:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken

down the middle wall of partition between us;.

Fair chance Paul wrote Hebrews, so if Paul calls Jesus his Apostle and High Priest, so do i & so should you.

  • @zacqt It is always a strong argument to point to the scriptures and say "but that is what it says". I too agree that Paul was probably the author of Hebrews but one must still "rightly divide the word of truth" and realize that the Hebrew epistle is written to Jews and I believe will be a very important to those Jewish believers who will go through the great tribulation.

  • Christ came as a minister unto Israel (Ro 15:8) The word 'apostle' means 'a messenger and he that is sent' As seen in Ro 15:8 Christ was sent to Israel and thus is the apostle to Israel. When Israel rejected Christ He raised up another Apostle and sent him or into the world with a new gospel and message called grace. Today Paul is the Apostle of the Gentiles (Ro 11:13). I hope one day you might be able to see this my friend :)

  • @bibledoctrine, "rightly divide the word of truth" means to correctly expound the word of Truth. To suggest that Hebrews is somehow irrelevant to us is to deny Christ check Rev 22v18&19(Jesus) llTim 3v16(Paul). Romans to the saints @ Rome, CorInthians to the church @ Corinth, Galatians to the church @ Galatia, Ephesians to the saints @ Ephesus. etc nothing to the Americans or Australians?

Rom2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of

the heart, in the spirit,... .

  • @zacqt True ! It also means to put things into the proper place by dividing. Not all scripture is given for our marching orders today. For instance you say Christ is your apostle and not Paul. I assume that means you try to follow the instructions Jesus gave when He was here ministering to Israel. So let me ask you this. Do you keep the Law of Moses (See Mat 23) seeing Jesus himself was born and lived under the Law and taught others to keep it?

  • @bibledoctrine, I agree that rightly expounding includes recognizing times & seasons. In the first 14 verses of Mathew ch22 we see Jesus preaching "the Mystery of the kingdom" v5=Israel v8=the Israelites contempt v9= the invitation to the Gentiles &v12 is a picture of any of us who receive superficial grace, that is, having no regard for the law. The law came by Moses but Truth & Grace by Jesus Christ. Thats why Jesus is our High Priest, He for-filled the law on our behalf.

    Worthy is The Lamb.

  • @zacqt Well what I am trying o figure out s this. If your Apostle today is Jesus Christ are you not to try and obey all He taught and instructed? It is a simple question really. I try to follow the instructions given to us by the Apostle Paul believing that God gave him new instructions for a new creation - i.e., the Body of Christ.

Do you follow all that Jesus taught in His earthly ministry?? If not why not if He is or Apostle for today? No debate just an inquiry to understand your position.

  • @bibledoctrine, yee-harr Proverbs 27:17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. Amen.

Who is the greater, Jesus or Paul? if Paul himself, calls Jesus "his" apostle & High Priest & Paul himself says be followers of me, we are indebted to hear these instructions. Jesus was not just some temporary prophet but even Paul says "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and *today*, and for ever"

Heb 12v2 **Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of *our* faith;...**

    part 1.

  • @zacqt Why can't you answer a simply question? I asked one not a bunch so it should not be confusing. Paul also wrote concerning Jesus Christ "Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more." (2 Corinthians 5:16 KJV)

What do you suppose he meant by that? Now there are 2 questions you can answer if you are inclined to.

  • @bibledoctrine Let me also ask you this. Would it have pleased God if Israel told Moses we are not going to follow you we will follow the LORD. Did not Aaron and Miriam question the authority of Moses and God's anger was kindled towards them (See Num 12:2-12. Paul is God chosen spokesman today for the risen glorified Christ . To follow Paul is to follow Christ today. To obey Moses was to obey the LORD. I really hope you will see this one day. This is why Paul says "be ye followers of me ..."

  • @bibledoctrine Who did Paul call his apostle? (Hew 3v1)Don't forget Peter was instructed by God to be a messenger to the gentiles also(Acts 15v*7*~11).

Jesus says NO man comes to the Father but by me.(Jesus)not Paul.

lCor 1:12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of

Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

1:13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized

    in the name of Paul?

Paul was never given exclusive headship or rights to the gentiles.

  • @zacqt Ok my friend you have no answers and are not really interested in the truth. You simply want to believe what you believe and are not open for any further light from God's word. I have stated my case the best way I am able and I am sorry it was not enough to convince you of the truth. Perhaps one day the eyes of your understanding will be opened to see this very important truth. In Christ - John :)

  • @bibledoctrine, Who was Paul's Apostle???

are you following Paul,??? because he called

Jesus Christ his Apostle & High Priest, so do i & so should you.

Mary was blessed also but the catholics

worship her above measure as well.

Hyper-D (Paul worship) is an branch of

    Jesuitic catholicism.

  • @zacqt Even though you have not answered my questions I am happy to answer yours. Hebrews is written to HEBREWS not the Body of Christ and Jesus wa sent unto Israel and not to the Gentiles (See Mat 15:24 & Jn 1:11. Israel rejected the kingdom and the King and God raised up another Apostle - PAUL - and sent him to the Gentiles. Your failure to see this will hinder your understanding of the scriptures until you do. Again you accuse me of Idolatry without any cause. Shame on you.

  • @bibledoctrine was JESUS CHRIST Pauls Apostle YES OR NO?

  • @bibledoctrine, RE: llCor 5v16 is Paul declaring the that relationship of knowing Christ as a human(after the flesh), now He has risen (we know Him no more{as flesh})

Instead of a physical relationship it is now spiritual, called the Church of Christ or the body of Christ, same thing. The symbol of a church building(physical stones) now called living stones(Math16v18) lPeter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house,... lCor.3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God,...

  • @zacqt That is ridiculous and must sound strange even to you. The fact that Christ died and ascended to heaven tells everyone that. Is that what you suppose Paul is saying. Hey listen Christ is no longer here we us in the flesh and I just wanted to let you know in case you are looking around for Him.

No, what Paul is saying is that Christ came in the flesh to Israel as her King and taught her things of the Kingdom but they rejected Him and today we do not follow what He taught Israel.

  • @bibledoctrine , was JESUS CHRIST Pauls Apostle

& High Priest ? YES OR NO

  • @bibledoctrine We do not get our instructions from the things Jesus taught Israel for we are not Israel and we are not under the LAW. You must know this for you refused to answer my question concerning whether or not you follow the things He taught for you know I would point out the fact that we are not under the Law but under Grace and that comes from PAUL. You have no one fooled for it is obvious why you chose to ignore that question. All you can do is accuse and make false accusations. Sad!

  • @bibledoctrine was JESUS CHRIST Pauls Apostle

& High Priest ? YES OR NO

  • @zacqt I already answered that question but why should you expect me to answer your questions when you have for the most part ignored mine? Is that fair and balanced in your opinion? You do the same thing that JW's do when confronted with something they cannot answer - they change the subject and keep jumping around like a cat on a hot time roof :) Like you they never answer a question unless they believe they have the advantage.

Let's stop this now for it going no where :(

  • @zacqt The Body of Christ is not under the Law and therefore we do not have a High Priest in that office for we have a different relationship with Christ - HE IS OUR SAVIOUR and HEAD of the Body. To Israel He was and will be their High Priest and Apostle when God closes this age and turns His attention back to Israel and the nations. For indeed that is who He was sent to (See Mat 15:24). If Paul is the author he is writing to own kinsman after the flesh here and not the BOC.

  • @bibledoctrine, Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also

    maketh intercession for us.

Hebrews 7:21 (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an

oath by him that said unto him, The Lord swear and will not

repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, .... *no man*

cometh unto the Father, but by *me* (NOT PAUL).

  • @zacqt I still stand by what I said and I see once again you do not address that. Do you not see a difference between Israel and BOC? Why do you quote Jesus to show that He is the only way unto the father? Have I or anyone else suggested it is through Paul? Again you insinuate something and want to put words in my mouth.

There is not changing someone's mind when they are not open to receive further light on the Word of God. But I do hope one you may come to know and understand the truth on this

  • @bibledoctrine lCor 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be ***Jews or Gentiles***, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

    Ephesians 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

The Church of Christ is the body of Christ

gentiles are the wild olives grafted in.

  • @zacqt Paul is our example of how to follow Christ today (not Peter, John or James) for it is in his epistles we find our personal instructions for the BOC. It was Paul who revealed the good news of Christ death, burial and resurrection and how our salvation is based upon His sacrifice on the cross. This is called "the preaching of the cross" see ICor 1:18. Peter and the others did not understand this till it was first given to Paul. Thus Paul calls it "my gospel" and not "our gospel".

  • @bibledoctrine, Paul is a champion, a great Apostle/preacher. It's just that i notice that those who exalt him above measure,-the hyper-D crew begin to cherry pick what scriptures they like or don't like. Paul, makes reference to over 124 direct quotations, and references to the Law, and the 4 gospels. If we are to be a folower of Paul, shouldn't we also be defending the faith with all of the council of the scriptures like he did? see Rev 19v13 "The Word of God"=Jesus (you can't divide this).

  • Comment removed

  • @zacqt We do not exalt him above measure for we understand he was a sinner saved by grace through faith. Did Jesus exalt Moses when He referred the the Law of Moses? Did Moses write the Law and give it to Israel? Did Israel exalt Moses above measure? No both Jesus and Israel acknowledge Moses as God's spokesman to Israel and the one through whom God delivered the Law to Israel.

The same is true of Paul, our apostle today, for God appointed him the Apostle of the Gentiles.

  • This morning's Sunday lesson was about foot washing. One man laughingly told about someone saying Paul didn't even mention this. SS teacher said, Jesus did! I wanted to cry, but WHO was Jesus talking to! Why won't they ever rightly divide? Even my husband doesn't, and I sit in silence rather than cause disruption. It's ALWAYS very clear who is being spoken to, but a lot of teachers don't STUDY!

  • The greatest Apostle is Jesus Christ He loves all men without distinction but not without exception.Paul is not my Apostle please read Heb3;1, 2 There is only one Apostle of the Church Jesus Christ

  • The Book of Hebrews. It would read as though this were a book written for the Hebrews. Are we Hebrews? No, we are ONE body, both Jews and Gentiles. ROM 11:13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: 1Tim 2:7, 2Tim 1:11, This is the Apostle Paul speaking with instructions from our Ascended Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Peter, James and John were to go to the circumcision, Paul to the uncircumsion Gal 2:9.

  • @mbrboc Are you suggesting Paul is not writing to Hebrew believers, and by consequence not the Church for today.?Yes, Paul went to the Gentiles as an Apostle but not the Apostle of the Church. The Church has one Apostle Christ Jesus

  • Great to listen to your right dividing of the word, more people need to hear this. When you have the right doctrine, makes a huge difference in your understanding of the bible. Thanks much!

  • That's right bro.
