  • I really like the one with the "propeller" style blade (presumably the Freshn'd-Aire unit), although it looks like the Vorty and Galaxy have some of the smoothest/best bearings of the bunch.

  • @uxwbill Yep that's the Freshy, I have added no oil to it but it's slated to go to another collector. Well lubed they can take like 2 minutes to stop after being shut off

  • I have a Tatung fan and the gearbox seems to be fairly gummed up so that the rotor won't turn freely. I've noticed there are plastic gears inside the gearbox so what could i use as a solvent that wouldn't melt the plastic gears and inner parts?

  • I didn't expect the small blue plastic fan would stop last!

  • which One us that 2 blade One??????

  • @TheNascarfan14 I believe the two bladed one is a fresh'nd aire

  • how many fans do U have , and how old are you

  • @crystalscan2002 I have that question too

  • @padix900 well one of theser days i will make a video of my new/used 70s dayton 12 inch deski got couple days ago

  • Hello Zachary, I have a question, were the Galaxy models fitted with General Electric motors to your knowledge?

  • That's a lot of fan power! Great fans!

  • a 2 blade fan!?!?!?!

  • Your galaxy sure has a nice coast down time.

  • if i put one of these on my desk I wouldn't have room for anything else!

  • Nice! all of my fans are 16" fans so far except for one 1939 GE 12" fan I'm working on.

  • Great stuff! :D

  • Wow... that Galaxy Wound down longer than the Vorty!

  • which one is the most powerfull. id guess the vorty and fresh'nd-aire are very close

  • Hmm....I'd have to say the Vortalex is....the Freshy is actually the only one not running on low....it needs oil and at the moment it does maybe 100-200 rpms on low when it should be doing 800

  • my 18" freshy is slightly more powerfull than my vorty. well after all my freshy is the bigger fan.
