God bless you for loving your friends. But always remember, you by your own efforts cannot change your friends. Only God through the Holy Spirit can convict them of sin bringing them to the cross to repent and believe.

Ummm thats not exactly how i read the Scripture. It's not that we have to sever all our relationships with our unbelieving friends. What it means is that we should not be bonded to them. A yoke was something that went over the shoulders of two or more bulls to pull a cart or something. I can still be around non-believers but i must NOT be yoked to them. That means if they go off into sin, i should not be bound to follow them there.

So thats why we shouldn't get married to unbelievers, or join fraternities or sororities, or go into business partnerships or join gangs/associations with unbelievers because we will fall with them when they fall or be yoked to them when they move towards sin.

But that also doesn't mean that if we're still friends with unbelievers everything is just chill. You must be a beacon of light for them. Trust me, if you truly are a lighthouse for Christ, you won't have to delete your un-christian friends. They will probably be the ones deleting you... Thats part of the cost of following Christ

Yoked means couple, pair, joined, or linked. You're connected if you're friends. That's exactly what friendship is.

I'm sorry sir but you can absolutely not be friends with unbelievers. How are you supposed to not get burned when you're sitting in a fire? Or stay lit when you surround yourself with darkness?

Brindle HIMSELF says "run with a crew of Christian friends" and he even has a SONG called "A Letter to my Friends" where he basically says, "I can't be friends anymore sorry."

And no doubt that you must be a beacon of light. A lot of people get "spread the gospel" and "being friends" confused. You can spread the gospel, but you cannot be friends, as in hang out with them, go places with them, etc...

I dropped every single one of my nonChristian friends and I only hang out with Christian friends. It was the best decision I ever made bro, trust me. You CANNOT do your job of escaping from sin if you choose to hang out with sinners.
