It's basically saying that when Jesus was killed his mother ( Mary Magdalene) had to be strong, because here son (Jesus) had to full fill the prophecy were he dies for everyone's sin. Jesus told her not to cry, and to be strong hint "i wont cry for you" but all that time she had to be brave, and let her son die, humanity kicked in and she couldn't help but to cry, and fill furious towards his murderers.
