that was my first thought when she was talking to the trainer about putting on weight purposely, that's usually sexual abuse or something tragic like that; Damien is looking pretty good!
I have this horrible feeling that some terrible things happened to Patti when she was younger. I thought that when she admitted that she put on weight "because it made things easier", it's as if she was saying that it made her 'less attractive', anyone else catch that?
Yes, I thought that too, especially when she said she doesn't have a good relationship with her mother and her sister was like her mum in a sense. Like her mum wasn't there for her.
Wow some beautiful scenery. I totally love how they work with all them to find out there inner fears and teach them how to rethink and not go back to there previous struggles and setbacks during diets that made them not get it off for good.
It's called "a rising inflexive" and it shows an insecurity by the speaker. Sociologists say that it's rife amongst Australian women who don't want to push an opinion on someone, so they lighten the impact by making it a question.

I agree 100%, I get the impression she was molested and her mom didn't believe her or something like that.

7fold420 3 years ago 3
Munnalita? Has this way? Of finishing every half sentence? With a question mark? Because she finishes every sentence going up? With her voice? *ggg*
Can you fill me in on this? Ist this individual or some aussie slang? (Sorry, I am German and wouldn't know)

I think it's a semi-prissy way of speaking. Kind of posh, if you will.
