oh yes, and one more question, when you enter the game with the nighttime background, what is up with the stars above the title? i have two, not sure how many stars you can get and how to get them
Those starts represent the number of worlds you have cleared with 100 points in all stages.
You can get a maximum of 6, which gives you an animation sequence congratulating you, and displaying the number of lives it took you to get all 6 stars.
Oh my, I just noticed I said "starts" instead of "stars" up there...
Anyway, you're welcome.
And no, there is no hard mode that I know of. The only change after getting 6 stars is seeing that animation (you only get to see it once, then it never appears again), and the game select screen also showing the number of lives taken.
this level is by far the #1 hardest for me, and I'm a really good Yoshi's island player. The skiing part is so hard for me . what is the hardest level in your opinion?
on mario wiki, they said all of the extra levels including this were removed in the gba version. thats not true, as i have the gba version and have unlocked all of the levels.
this is the same as the gba version, rite? Is it the bonus levels for after you beat the game? (btw, that was amazing the way you played that so perfectly.
k, thanx. I wouldn't have to ask if i was better at the game. I'm on the last world, but i can't beat the first level in it because of these F*cking annoying bird things that throw bombs at you. The reason why i thought it was bonus levels after you beat the game, is because i beat the ds version first, and when u beat that, you get all the bonus levels. I really like yoshis island gba, and its WAY better than yoshis island ds. Yoshis island gba has a wicked badass soundtrack, I love this game!!
You do get some bonus levels after finishing the game. Those are the "Secret" levels.
The main difference is that Secret levels focus more on puzzles, while Extra levels are shorter and focus more on testing the player's control skills (or memory).
cool. you sure do know what ur talking about when it comes to video games! I don't think I'll ever know that much about video games, but then again, I don't play them that often either. The most I have are handhelds and cd - roms, but I'm hoping I can get an emulator soon so I can play whatever.

Secret 6 would be the hardest level in my opinion, due to the spiked balls part.
dsTsubame 2 years ago
I was never able to do this one, the 6th was very very easy IMO

@dsTsubame This level is harder for me than Secret 6 to do.

0:11 if you ground pound the boulder instead, it'll give you the key
it saves time
This level was awful, took me 30+ lives to ace the second part T_T

It is the GBA version, being played on a GameCube via a Game Boy Player (hence the "Z Button: Options" message on the top right).
This level is unlocked by getting 100 points in all the World 5 stages, except Secret 5.
