  • sound a lot better if the he was a different dude and the drummer was a chick...

  • God how can you fuck up such a great beatles song-You should be embarassed, this sucks to the 9th degree-You wouldnt know what melody was if it fell out of the sky and landed on your face!!!!Go work at Mcdonalds

  • Excellent!

  • I'd never liked a beatles cover before.... amazing!!

  • I like this version of the black keys!

They're so dynamic, loud and tight.

  • the black keys need to go back to a two-piece with limited effects, they rocked so much harder, still great now though

  • @NintendoSinceBirth1 They'll go back to that after they've conquered the world as the kings of rock, just let them expand naturally.

  • @kevdoorley64 in case you didnt know, Dan auerbach (thats the name of the leader singer of the black keys, and based on your music knowledge I dooubt you knew that) would probably give all the props in the world to John Mayer. John mayer is prolly one of the best and most influential music writers and guitarists of our generation. O and by the way as much as I love and am a huge fan of Dan Auerbach, I have no doubt in my head John mayer could literally cover this song in his sleep. Good day

  • @bluesguitar4life john mayer sux balls! cheesy fuckin song writer

and his guitar playing is just a ripoff of SRV and Hendrix. no style or tone of his own.bollocks!

  • way too fast .... loses all it's meaning and psychedelic emotion behind it.... yikes.

  • @tjsnow76 its called a cover

  • Also, stop trolling tele757

  • People dont realize how hard covers are. you have to rework a song with the vibe of your band to make it even worth a listen. Otherwise why not just listen to the original song? People come to covers to hear reworkings, not judge songwriting, and thats what people miss, and as a result is detrimental to the band as a whole.

  • you can only play scratchy and screech if you first know how to play, Dan does not have it

  • this is a respectable cover, but i still like the beatles version better.

  • trying to do a beatles cover note for note is a losing effort, great job by tbk

  • I am a HUGE Beatles fan, and usually cringe when I see a Beatles song on a record, but damn, TBK nail this one in the studio and live. I love TBK... Sloppy or not, Dan plays with emotion and is kicking ass (Pat is a killer drummer too, nothing crazy fancy, but damn he can move the song along)

  • I knew them today, I heard the song in background to another video, I thought it was jimi hendrix, :-)

  • DAN AND JIMMY TAUGHT ME HOW TO PLAY SLOPPY AND SCREECHY, AND IM HAPPY ABOUT IT!!

  • good cover : ]

  • If you don't like the Black Keys there is something seriously wrong with you. And I know what it is....your problem, my friend, is douchebaggery.

  • took a neat song and vomited on it.

  • awful cover

  • If Patrick grew his hair out more here, he'd look just like Dave Grohl in the Nirvana days.

  • Master!

  • 48,808 views?SMH people are still sheeping and sleeping

  • my word...I love you PAtrick!!! :D

  • This is what I call music, free and loose. You can just feel the emotion they put into their work. When songs paint a picture in your mind you know the bands doing something right. Love the keys, they're keeping music real.

  • @dbzphish84

it's great to see that there are still people who can understand true music nowadays.

  • Revolver. I say "ree voll ver"!!. Next best to the original. OutStanding rendition! 5 stars+ !;-)

  • ITS VERY SAD THAT ASHLEY TISDALE'S "HE SAID, SHE SAID" APPEARS AS A PROMOTED VIDEO WITH 14MILLION VIEWS AND THIS HAS LESS THAN 32THOUSAND.

ROCK & ROLL IS NOT DEAD, THE BLACK KEYS ARE KEEPING IT ON LIFE SUPPORT.

    VOTE UP IF YOU AGREE

  • They're so in sync with eachother, have so much soul, and make so much noise and are just two guys.

  • Thanks cjohnson, for putting all this up. I've been searching in today's music for this ultimate raw 60's sound for so long and found it in TBK. Seeing them live in november, HELL YEAH.

  • did anybody else notice that dan changed the lyrics a little. on the beatles version it's "she's making me feel like i've never been born" dan says "she's making me feel like i never was born". not a bad thing, just asking if anybody else noticed.

  • Kinda bluesy version of Beatles' classic. Interesting. But I would strongly advice them to hire a bass player to improve the live act.

  • @redyossarian I think that they don't want a bass player. I think they want to see if they can make good music without a bass player.

  • @ShotGunAnd often adding more instrumentalists can heed on the improv possibilities, thats why people like jimi hendrix in the band of gypsys and eric clapton in cream didn't really like having rhythm players. The Keys just seem even more improv than even them.

  • @willwelsh816 whay? he does not have any mastery and freedom over his instrument like those Greats. Wrong

  • Nice take on a Beatles classic!

  • these guys need to be pumping through everyones stereos, car radios, everything! Music needs a revival and this will at the forefront of such. I love em'.

  • seen the black keys, three times, they blow my mind every time

  • Don't get me wrong, I think tightness and precision have their place but the keys are just a RAW rock band and I love them for it!

  • i like the teeny bit of slopppiness in jimmy page's and geroge harrison's and all those other greats because it adds a human quality to it

you really know it's them playing right there, i hate it when concert footage is overdubbed

  • He IS sloppy, though. It's the same thing that Jimmy Page gets accused of being and its not a bad thing. In my mind it's just another style of playing that emphasizes being soulful and frenetic over strictness of play. Imagine him playing every note, chord, and solo the same every time he picked up a guitar and tell me that you like it better.

  • @scrazzlepots I'm with it man. The imperfections are part of what makes them so amazing. the human element ya know...its what allows the blues to exist really. If I wanted perfection I would listen to top 40 radio.

  • @scrazzlepots I don't know if you mean in general but that wasn't sloppy at all, that's how it is supposed to sound live, it's not like he hit wrong notes or anything.

  • @scrazzlepots except Jimmi Page can play the sweet blues and Dan is a spec of dust

  • wOw!

great filming by the drums :)

  • jack johnson and john mayer suck balls

  • @kevdoorley64

I kinda like jack johnson's newest cd. but other than 4 or 5 songs I gotta agree with you

  • @kevdoorley64 John Mayer sucks? I think you're bitter.

  • @kevdoorley64 have to strongly disagree with you there.. maybe it's because i'm not narrow minded

  • @kevdoorley64 john mayer's music sucks balls. in actuality he's a pretty sweet guitarist. he knows what hes doing when he's playing. thats for sure

  • @kevdoorley64 I cant even begin to describe how much I hate John Mayer

  • @kevdoorley64 Well Jack Johnson defently, but I kinda have to give props to John Mayer. His blues stuff is often over looked

  • @kevdoorley64 John Mayer is probably one of the most talented musicians out there right now. And as for Jack Johnson, he writes sick melodies and is quite possibly the chillest guy on the planet. I really don't see the point of comments like yours. Would it really hurt you to explore different genres? Hell, John Mayer is bluesy, as are The Black Keys.

  • @kevdoorley64 John Mayer and Jack Johnson kick ass. So do the Black Keys.

  • @kevdoorley64 Jack Johnson and John Mayer are both outstanding musicians in their own right, as well as The Black Keys, and the Beatles, which makes me wonder, what on Earth does Jack Johnson and John Mayer have to do w/The Black Keys, covering a relatively unknown Beatles song?

  • Respond to this video... isn't the beatles song called he said, she said?

  • @leadfeet31 actually the demo version was called he said he said, but the revolver's version is called she said she said

  • @leadfeet31 nope its she said she said

  • tacStar253 is the guy that listen to "real music" right? Bands like Nickleback in that genre I call generic rock. For anyone to say Mayer and Johnson suck is someone that doesn't know what they're talking about. It just doesn't logically add up.

  • one of the FEW beatles covers i adore. love the keys.

  • Fuck all the guys saying he's sloppy, he's just letting his testosterone get free playing real man rock

  • what are you talking about I LOVE JACK JOHNSON. jk

  • i'd have to agree with dan when he said that the black keys music is, "perfectly unperfect". it's the sound they're going for. appreciate it for what it is. don't criticize it for what it's not. if you want technical perfection, go comment on a satriani, or malmsteen video.

  • "sloppy" means playiing over one's edge, beyond what one can do ...rocking; "perfect " is scairdy or pompass, not rocking, testosdeficenct non intoxing like de-alc

    martinis

high speed perfection is playiing slow while recording slow and the speeding up the playback.or vibrating the pick a lot.

  • you guys are imbeciles if you think that this is "sloppy guitar playing" you're the same assholes that bash john mayer and jack johnson and shit you have to feel what the music's about it's not about conforming to a certain rhythm or beat it's blues rock and he pulls this song off beautifully with one note off key the entire time, and improvising on scales not easy to do (especially when it's not your song to begin with). The Black Keys are an incredibly talented band

  • jack johnson and john mayer suck balls

  • Carney does seem to let it hang out in this performance. Definitely a live sound. A big, relatively rowdy audience might not be able to appreciate (let alone hear) the delicacy Carney shows with his drums on their albums.

  • he's not sloppy, hes perfect? just like any other true blues player

  • @ryandude1994 except he knows know blues licks and cannot play the sweet blues

  • QUe vivan los BEATLES !!!!!

    BEATLES FOREVER !!!!!!

  • Dan isn't that sloppy. And anyways I don't get why people have a problem with sloppy guitar playing. I mean I believe sloppy is better than perfect it gives it a "human like" quality. and it sounds RAW!!!!!!

  • jimmy page was "sloppy" too and he was one of the best ever imo, not to put this guy in page's catergory though.

  • exactly!!

  • OMFG!!! I could not agree more!! THIS THIS....SO MUCH THIS!!!!!

  • Plus 1 on the sloppy. I mean a little sloppy is good but to much is distracting.

  • I was listening to their stuff, and it really surprised me that they'd pull off a Beatles cover... and WELL! This song rocks! Go Black Keys!

  • best cover ever!

  • What else can be said? Awesome Akron conception.

  • one of the best Beatles covers out there

  • The Black Keys doing The Beatles who would have thought...great cover though!

  • check out Junior Kimbrough if you like the Black Keys, The Keys do a bunch of his old stuff. Rock On!

  • @PhishtankPhobia yea, the keys sound is a bad rip off off this guy

  • Sloppy guitar is what it's all about..especially with that tone he has

  • Hey daddy-O, that's part of the appeal! Of course, it ROCKS! It FUNKS, It GROOVEs in a sloppy, but forward still jumping way! I LIKE IT!

  • I wasn't being sarcastic or anything, I was saying for real that sloppy guitar IS what it's all about. Dan has one of the best guitar tones I've ever heard, it's really hard to replicate

  • My Apologies!

  • worth watching just to hear that guitar.

  • this is what a cover should be. it's a waste of a record for a band to play a cover just like the original...the cover only has meaning if another band can bring new meaning to the song, or emphasize different parts than the original song did. black keys played she said, she said with a new twist that made it sound reminiscent, but not a carbon copy of, the beatles song, so it's a solid cover.

  • dan and pat are the sexiest

  • First of all, Dan is no sloppier than sloppy as shit Jimmy Page. Second, this is one of the all time greatest covers.

  • Love the BK's......Dan's sound IS sloppy....but It's REAL.....I'd rather hear his growl and slash on that Tele than hear any phoney-ass death metal kook or prance pants guitar jag-off wank.

  • prance pants is funny to me. you should start referring to yoursmelf at prance pants.

  • :) heheh I'll pass.

  • Hes sloppy as fuck, but that dont mean he aint amazing

  • hes playing it a little bit slow i feel

  • i think its sounds nice, this is about rock and blues so its normal Dan's alternation in velocity and other things, thats live stuff ^.^

  • Theyre amazing i dunno why dan isnt in rolling stones 100 greatest guitarist of all time!!!

  • the poor sound quality doesn't do this song or band justice. The have the most unique sound. The Black Keys rock

  • well this isnt their song

  • know shiy asshole

  • amazing song, amazing playing and one of my favourite guitar tones ever.

  • Really? How do you feel about the other songs from this show? I've always been quite impressed with Dan's playing.

  • how could you comment negatively about the Black Keys?

  • @skidrow75 who gives a shit they rock

  • @skidrow75 you chose to act on one thing, did you not listen to the song??

  • @skidrow75 they not for people who love steve vai or malmsteen. they are for people who like a groove and soulfull unorthodox playing.

  • @skidrow75 i think dan has to be one of my favorite guitarists. he puts allot of soul in his playing, like jimmy page. jimmy was one sloppy ass guitarist but his solo's still give me the chills.

  • @xGSxMayhem94 what a lot of soul, wigglin \g his ass alot, come on man...mus t learn to play first

  • @skidrow75 yeah skidrow's guitar playing really touches my soul unlike these guys.......(sarcasm)

  • @skidrow75 well, that's how you really fucking play guitar live sloppy and amazing at the same time.

  • @skidrow75 That's why I love him. He reminds me of Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix, he's wonderful.

  • @BeatlesMadeTheWorld you must be from another planet man, and dont play guitar to even suggest such a comparison

  • @tele757 No, no, it's a compliment. I like how he has that hard rock sound.

  • I am in love with them.
