I was a huge Austin fan at the time (well, still am, even though he no longer wrestles and I haven't watched WWF/WWE since 2002), but even I was miffed when Kane only got to keep that belt for 24 hours. Of all the big name wrestlers at the time he was the only one to win the championship just once, and even then he lost it the next day. Austin, Rock, Taker, Mankind, HHH and Angle won multiple times, so why not Kane? He was awesome and deserved more than that :(

Kane was one of those guys that the wwf started out with that was awesome and very destructive and then they just shit on him more or less.Wtf is Vince thinking w/ this guy?Seemed like the only guy that put Kane over as he shouldve been was JR. Kane made a career from mimicking the Undertakers act, he's given him full credit himself, the fact that he's been HVT champ several times is an honor enough. Why else would you put him a first blood match when he's in a mask and full body suit? It made a ton of people watch RAW on Monday night instead of Nitro

Couldn't have said it better myself, he kicks out of 2 fucking tombstones from taker then loses to one stunner. They started to humanize kane after he lost vs taker in the inferno match. And they officially made him pathetic trash when he joined the stupid ass corporation in 99. I hate seeing all these people say they wish they'd give him the mask back, the writers screwed kane's character over from 99 till present.

I' sorry but Kane shouldn't have lost to Austin. Hell Kane should never have gotten defeated by anyone except the Undertaker and even that is debatable. I love stone cold but damn, he has no chance vs kane.

In my opinion they started ''humanizing'' Kane right after he lost vs the Undertaker in the inferno match. If this match was right after Kane debuted, he wouldnt flinch to any of austin's punches as he did. But hey its scripted I know, but this is how i feel about the situation.
