There was something in that liquor that made him change back but whatever it was in the liquor that did it, his body built up a resistance to it. Since it doesn't work anymore the doctor can't anaylze it to see what did it. Stuff like this does happen, you take some medicine or serum and it works for a while but then your body starts rejecting it or starts resisting it. Kinda like with chicken pox, once you have them, your body builds up a resistance to them so you usually don't get them again.
