Hört euch doch sakamotos andere Stücke an. Minimal music ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig (,,gewöhnungsbedürftig" und nicht ,,schlecht") aber es gibt so viele andere klasse lieder von Sakamoto. Er verdient es wirklich mehr berühmtheit auch außerhalb von asien zu erlangen

tja glaxofrosch es gibt halt auch noch andere musik ausser die von Benny Benassi. ich persönlich kann mit so etwas recht wenig anfangen. während mich diese musik auf jeden fall sehr inspiriert. und nein ich bin kein junkie etc. und auch kein möchtegern kunstversteher etc... ich finde minimal einfach nur klasse weil sie sich auf das wesentliche konzentriert und produziere sie deshalb auch. man kann halt nicht alles verstehen. aber intelligenz kann man halt auch nicht bei jedem vorraussetzen...

Leute die meinen dieses Video (besonders audio) sei "great" oder sogar "awesome", sind in meinen Augen nur Möchtegern-Künstler, -kunstversteher, -kunstinterpreten und hoffen sie bekommen entweder aufmerksamkeit weil sie etwas loben was alle anderen "nicht verstehen weil sie ignoranten oder einfach nur dumm sind" oder erhoffen für sich sogar anerkennung.

This is a German artist called Alva Noto who produces "glitch music"/electronica, in collaboration with a great japanese composer and pianist called Ryuichi Sakamoto. Hope that helps!

@cassanou: although sakamoto is, like every artist by the way, influenced by various sources, for instance satie, debussy, ravel etc. pp., i don't see a strong connection to harold budd or brian eno in this case. the new element here is to integrate warm piano miniatures and sterile electronic technology to create this very special atmosphere. one cannot doubt the artistic impact on contemporary electroacoustic music and you definitely cannot find comparable works in the oeuvre of budd or eno!

Yeah, ok ! It just "sounds" beautiful, but poor in matters of creative output ! Piano patterns and some treatments owe too much to Brian Eno and Harold Budd.
