i know 3 others who have owned macbooks/pros. All of them died in less than 2 years (best case). That's hardly a "better" product in my eyes.

I love my iPod. I've had an iPod ever since the introduction of the nano. When the nano came out i begged my parents to let me get one. They let me buy the nano (WITH MY OWN MONEY) online. I have never regretted buying it, and for Christmas last year, I used money I got to buy the 32GB touch. I think it is the best. Theres a kid at school with the Zune and I let him see my iPod touch and he told me it can do way more stuff than you can with a Zune, not to mention iPod games are WAY better.

zunes dont crash. my ipod classic crashed all the time. and i finally said fuck it when they wanted 150 to fiz it. and bought a zune 80 which is comparable to the classic. and liked it way better. as far as the app store, they just released the hd. give it time. and the hundreds they have so far are all less than $5

Are many of them free? In the App Store, MANY apps (an I mean MANY) are free, and some are premium and you must pay, normally a small price, for them. Also, many premium apps have lite, free versions for those who don't need all the features, or for those who want to try the app before they buy.

Oh, and you think time will let the Zune's store grow? I wouldn't think it would grow by much, with the iPod's overall 73.8% market share and the Zune's rather pitiful and to-be-laughed-at 1.1%. HAHA!

alright we'll leave it at this. for the zune marketplace which has the appstore integrated, you pay a flat rate of 9.99 a month for unlimited downloads. so either way. if they arent your saving money on the downloading, the price of the product and the reliability. theyre is no crashing bullshit with zunes like there is ipods. and dont tell me they dont. i had 2 30gb videos, and 3 clasic ipods crash on me. and ive had the same zune 80 since mid 2008. never restored it, never took it in, NOTHING

and as far as marketshare, lets talk here. ipods were released in 2000. and they advertise the fuck out of them. zunes were released in 2007 and ive never seen an advertisement for them. a majority of people dont know what they are yet. and the ones that do won't go back. my friend actually convinced me to get one over another classic. so i was in your boat. but microsoft doesnt need to worry though. because computer sales which actually matter are 96% to 4% globally and i laugh there. urafanboy

iPod touch is a good music player but you have to remember that iPod start in 2001 while Zune started in 2006 so you have to give zune a lot of balls to through out a music player so late in the game plus you give the Zube 1-2 year it will come out with abetter player than iPod and win the race

I have the 30 gig dinosaur of a zune and its still better than the ipod. The first time I turned on my zune and started listening to my music on it, it was like all my music had been revitalized and remastered with such sound clarity that I swore I could hear the inner mechanical workings of the instruments it was being played on. I pod just sounds like the cd on my stereo. I don't know if its the hardware or the earphones, but Zune rocks... and it has a freaking RADIO!
