It was most likely a mistake by the goal judge or a electrical malfucntion. The same thing happened during Game 5 of the 2007 Stanley Cup Final Series right before Chris Phillips of the Sens scored the dubious own-goal that turned out to be the Stanley Cup clinching goal in the series vs. the Anaheim Ducks!
