  • Love this - what a talent you have, bring us more!

  • I like it. Would be happy to own this rig. FAT rhythm tone.

  • super chours sux, replace it with the chours ensemble. Just my opinion.

  • Wouldn't it make sense to play a Van Halen song if you're showing us the "Brown Sound" you put together?

  • Definitely *NOT* the "brown sound" Ed was known for.~ Sounds more like Joe Satriani.

  • @123jozef Agreed.

  • @123jozef That's EXACTLY what I was thinking... it sounds like Joe, not Ed.

  • not so brown really but nice tone there

  • this is not the brown sound

  • love how you've spent so much money and yet you've not miced the amp properly!

  • Sounds more like Satriani to me. yer and your missing the main components, EVH's ten little digits ....... ;-)

  • @bottomfeedar Well said! I won't rip on the person playing, they sound good, however.... it does prove what you said. ALL the equipment will never still sound exact because the real heart and soul of the sound is in the player themselves. There is only ONE Eddie Van Halen and even though many will try, nobody will truly capture what only the man himself can.

  • nice tone... However, too many people have no idea what they mean when they say "brown sound" and think its the over digitized processed sound instead of the true classic tone. Eddie is in the business of selling signature gear so he has to push it on people like you. The true brown sound is amazingly simple but only if you know how to get it out of your fingers first. All it takes is a good tube amp, some phase 90 and good finger work, not all that fancy digital processors and pedals.

  • @zer0dahero Completely agree with you.

  • Tight.

  • Like " the Brown Sound ". Like " Bad News ". Don't like them chopped together on the same sound byte.

  • Righteous instrumental. Is it your own composition?

  • whats the music? sounds like satriani and its not good

  • Kinda like that music. Sounds like something we might hear on their new album.

  • orianthi cover??????????

  • @zakkattack99

only the central part of the solo

  • This sounds and looks amazing!

  • Man that was awesome...I wish 1:25 to 1:40 was longer....you were really taking off there...

  • @careing57587 if you wanna hear it again look up according to you by orianthi she origianlly wrote that solo

  • Comment removed

  • That digital drums is Superior Drummer or not?

  • FOR HIS BROWN SOUND HI TUBES WERE BIAS COLD,THAT IS MY ONLY KNOWN KNOWLEDGE OF HIS AMP SETTING INTERNAL

  • what is that solo at 1:23-1:39? its from some song, I just cant place it.

  • @ZippoMan yeah sweet child oh mine - guns and roses

  • @ZippoMan orianthi.."according to you"

  • @stebonar

you're still young to get this sound :-)

  • @MrProjectstudio

    I wish I would be young.... ;)

  • What is the Song that is on this Video? Simple Question.

  • @1251wire

absolutely not ..... it's just that for me is the best sound else

  • Great Tone = Nice board & I dig the micro amp, way cool pedal......

  • 2:43 wihch song ?

  • which song from finish ?

  • this IS NOT the Brown Sound. everyone tries to Copy, but eddie cannot be touched.

  • @ENEMENCIO123VISION

every guitarist has his touch and his sound

  • @MrProjectstudio but not the BROWN SOUND. only Eddie has that. everyone else sucks balls.

  • can i download this song? cause its great.

  • @pipsqueek14

no for the moment is not about tunes

  • @MrProjectstudio so.... icant download it? you dony have to send me a link or something. i just use those online services

  • very good...but what about a 5150 cabinet ??? that would sound even more awesome ! by the way , very nice sound !

  • i dunno why ur using all those pedals, evh and fender designed this amp to just plug n play and get instant evh tone

  • To me it has a 38 special feel and sound. I like it !!! and the second song too!

  • why use the distortion or pedals when it aint necessairy because you got a wolfgang signature edition

  • very good !

  • Not quite , but nice tone . Most of the "brown" comes from ed's fingers , not his gear.

You're a great player dood , in some ways better than Ed . Kudos

  • not so "brown" tho. more like late 90s VH sound

  • Very nice composition, really like your technique. Hear many of your influences and perfect execution!. Especially enjoy the bit you do 2:07 on... The 5150 III amp is amazing isn't it

  • Very nice composition, really like your technique. Hear many of your influences and perfect execution!. Especially enjoy the bit you do 2:07 on... The 5150 III amp is amazing isn't it ?

  • your ampli is a beast!

  • It's very nice! you should try a Metropoulos 12000 :)

I make some VH covers, but here we have problems getting this fine gear, but we rock anyway! I'll upload some videos later so you can see.

    Good luck!

  • You have a lot of money to spend

  • I really like the tone and playing. Eddie had a unique sound, and I always feel like that is the tone I'd like to achieve whenever playing any rock song.

    Excellent playing though!

  • More beige sound to me, nice playing though .

  • basically the brown sound is just 80% in your fingers

  • Nice tune.. good work! Cheers

  • Nice gear - nice tune - great playing - i enjoyed that pal - cheers S.P.

  • One of the reasons for eddies unique sound on his recorded tracks is the way the bias voltage was set on his amp. Not even the EVH or 5150 heads achieve this because basically it is the sound of a "rattled out grid on a EL34" Nothing can exactly produce that sound but the tube with the electrons hitting the glass itself with an overloaded grid. The sound is unique but it don't last long either. about 2 hours until the tube is a goner. everyone comes close, but short LOL

  • @Modeshredder

    ??????

  • Great sound....cheers

  • All the elements! Sound, feel and flow. You just might be a bigger VH fan than I am!!

  • imo the brown sound is more in your fingers than multiple pedals and amps just my two cents

  • No words for the amazing tone you have there.

Would you recommend me to buy and EVH III amp ?

  • @Digiu2 in my opinion man the evh amp are way to modified i would suggest a marshall cabinet with a peavey head but everyone has there own preferences

  • Great sound man!!!!

  • Amazing songs! Great gear, dude!

  • very cool !!! loved your sound

  • I like it!! very Satriani like!

  • every one is saying this is closer to the sammy hagar era start sound.

This is not going to be the one and only brown sound because the brown sound refers to the sound on Van Halen's debut. But I have to say good job on at least getting one part of Eddie's massive sound scape.

  • What is this shit music?? Sounds like it should be a bad 80's porn soundtrack. "Ladies and Gentiles, here's the Steve Vai Wanna Bes, the Sucktones. "

  • Very nice tones dude - really like the mixture of the brown rhythm line and the more modern lead lines (very Satch at the lower drive setting) - nice job and great playing.

  • Definately close to the early "Hagar-Era" rhythm tone. The lead tone isn't even close. The lead sounds more "George Lynch-ish" to my ears. The thing that I think alot of folks overlook is that even if you plugged into Ed's rig and used HIS personal guitar, you're not gonna sound like him. 80% (or more) of your tone comes from your hands. Ed could use a Peavey practice amp and shitty Strat copy and you'd still know it was him...

  • NO WAY! bro that sonds very very good.It just sounds professional. amazing.Thank you.

  • eddie never had a micro amp or an overdrive

  • @lilrocker888

dear go and see what the set up of 92 also had .......... now the MXR micro amp as a boost

  • @lilrocker888 Eddie has always had micro amps (MXR) trusted!

  • @MrProjectstudio thats right ...go to the rock walk guitar shop in hollywood and eddie's gear is in the front of the shop window for everyone to see..they were donated by eddie himself..check it out !

  • @MrProjectstudio Can you please tell me a source where I can cite that would say that he used the micro amp? I have done a lot of research on his gear and I have not seen that anywhere. (I am not interested in buying one and I am certainly not interested in sounding like someone else -- including and probably especially EVH -- but I am doing research on him, including what gear he used.)

  • Too many gadgets.

  • ToneLab the simulation is beautiful but it sounds .........

This is the sound of its strumentazzione ........

  • have you ever tried using the tonelab le? or have any recomended settings for it to acheive the BROWN SOUND?

  • @guitarsamurai1

ToneLab the simulation is beautiful but it sounds .........

This is the sound of its strumentazzione ........

  • Sounds good!

  • @skullkap1

  • Orianthi guitar break anyone?

  • @StudioTDL

  • i love it! nice instrumental. good tone. can i download this tune somewhere? cheers!

  • @bonetrainmusic

for the moment theres no tunes in

  • only effects loop .... other pedals go in imput

  • is the pedal board going into the input or effects loop?

  • how do you power all the pedals? i'm thinking of a voodoo lab pedal power for my pedalboard, but some people told me that i may use one ac adaptor for each pedal.

  • @pablomatzo

There are several options I use 2 adapters for all

  • impresionante

  • @VHAKscott

    :-)

  • @VHAKscott

    tnx

  • meh...almost there...a little too smooth and not much edge or chrunch on it...but achieves the LAter tones i guess

  • @junkerde

    right

  • @junkerde I would have to agree with you

  • sounds like satriani lead

  • @PSU12345

    tnx
