  • I liveye right next to signal hill !(:

  • wow, i enjoyed the video. very knowledgeable and professional

  • hahah he always looks tired!

  • ok am i the only one who sees this guys for who he really is? ITS BRAD PITTTTT

  • Dude! This "newness" that the LED is brought pros fatástica aquariums. You know the specifications of the LEDs used in this assembly? Kelvin temperature, power, these things ... Brazilian hugs for You!

  • hey B, they are 180 watts each. Kelvin/color temp can be adjusted but individually changing the dimming settings for each of the 3 colors of LEDs (white, blue, royal blue). check out reeftechledDOTcom

  • That looks really expensive..

  • Nice Great Dane Scott. They are great dogs.

  • Ha Ha 4:42 the dogs eating (his lunch or something) off the table. ROFL

  • @Beets82 LOL! I Didn't notice that. She has a knack for getting into anything and everything when we don't keep an eye on here. She is less than a year old and still is more or less a big puppy.

  • all i hear is led lighting isn't as bright. i get fed up saying they only use the parts of the spectrum you need no extra waste. that's why there so efficient and cool.

  • I just love LA Fishguys, and this is a very interesting episode!

  • that seems like a big led light... there are smaller ones that have RGB LED's and color can be controlled...

  • hey R, big lights for a big tank. keep watching.

  • @lafishguy Does the fellow Scott has better corall growth on LED lightning now?

  • hey I, i have not seem much change in corals, but what we have seen is a significant reduction is energy cost.

  • @lafishguy I am making led lights for plants tanks even too, All people say it is not possible, but I succeeded totally! Better growth! Better looks! Better colours! Smaller bill! & Never change bulbs!

    KEEP MOVING FORWARD =D

  • @reklesboy350 You rdont really want red or green LED's on a reef tank. The red will promote algae growth and not coral growth. Some red may be OK but White, Blue and Royal blue are typically used for led colors on a reef. The RGB ones dont put out enough light as they are typically lower wattage. These fixtures use sixty 3 watt LED's in order to get the PAR and depth penetration needed for a larger deep tank.

  • @reklesboy350 The other thing is you dont need a chiller like MH.

  • Fantastic job! Great job explaining what you were doing. Nice job on the light rack and super nice equipment!

  • is that a horse in the house

  • Great job Scott looks the business

  • are there no optics on his leds?

  • @Jruberti No optics. You get better spread without them but you loose some PAR which I wasnt as concerned with. I might experiment with some optics down the line if I feel I need better PAR levels which right now are better than the halides and I'm nowhere near full power.

  • THERE IS A COW IN HIS KITCHEN AT 4:39!!!! MOOOOO

  • Awesome set-up, Thanks for sharing.

  • That's the exact setup I have been looking for. Where is does the exact dimming across the tank like a real sunset and sunrise. Thanks for showing this and including us on your adventures. Always look forward to them

  • Happy to see Scotts tank. A great video indeed, thumbs up :)

  • Just me, or does Scott seem like he enjoys 4/20 about as much as the rest of us? Not that I'm passing judgment...if I had 500 gallons of stunning fish tank to stare at all day I'd get baked too.

  • @MLewisUT Its the light on Jims camera that blinds me when I am looking at it..

  • @slief makes sense. Awesome set up man. Good timing too. I've been wanting to gain more information about LED lighting for about the last two months. Thanks

  • always a pleasure to see this guys projects

  • you have a nice horse scott what breed of great dane is that

  • @jlalonde1000 She is a Blue Harlequin Great Dane..

  • Wow, he has a great looking great dane!

  • AWESOME

  • ehh part 2? not up? ok will come back later.....dam...lol

  • Sounds like an awesome project! on my way to Pt. 2

  • i lived in long beach for 15 years and never went into age of aquariums (even tho i used to live by someone who worked there always saw the van parked on my street lol) but i was really impressed by their store and knowledge and will definatly shop there more often. but i used to get all my equipment and livestock from Strickly Fish in lakewood but in the end they are both great shops

  • Great I was waiting for this episode.

  • Makes me wish I had more space :)
