Wish I owned one. It's my favorite car and has been for years. The 59 Ford w/ retractable roof comes in a close second. I used to date a motor head and I'll bet he's sorry he sold them off years ago.The El Camino was nice, too.Take me back to those days anytime. The cars these days have no style what-so-ever.I've owned mostly Caddys ( Baritz , Eldorado, DeVille & DTS but also had a Beamer 540i & Jag Vanden Plas. None compare to the oldies as far as I'm concerned. Your's is a beaut !! Thx 4 sharing
@carsbyjeff It must have made you sick to have sold it. Was that your intention when you built it? What to do think of the cars being built by N2A Motors? If you haven' t seen what he's done with the 57 chevy, check it out on Google. It's different to say the least. Most feedback I've read wasn't good. I rather liked it. My brother built a 57 Chevy, from a kit. He sold it years ago. He had a gorgeous 67 Chevelle w/corvette engine that was stolen and stripped. That was a sad day at our home. :-(
Wow great car, awsome job you did! I currently restoring a 57 150 myself and I'm planning to do a Black widow clone. I already all it needs to do a 6 studs conversion like they used to be. Not sure if I'll put a back or grey interior. Just hope It would be as good looking as yours!
Can't wait to see that! Should be great to see a video of that beauty on the road! My engine will be a 5.7 Lt1 Fuel injection with a t56 6-speed tranmission.
In 1970 My older brother had a restored 57 chevy that looked alot like the widow, inside and out. My younger brother was given the car when Danny was killed later that year in a 57 Chevy. I think he traded it for a 55 Chevy.
It is a Tribute to those great cars but not exact. Currently pulling the small block for a rebuild and adding another hundred horsepower, new centerforce clutch, electric cut outs in the exhaust! You can have a problem with it but I for one LOVE IT!!
Sharp car Jeff! I just learned about these today & ran a Google search & here you had one.
Had never hear of the Black Widow till today.

Great tribute to the BLACK WIDOW my favorite car of all time(besides my 57)! Thanks for the information.

Besides the color I do not see anything competition guide correct about your car. Why call it a "Black Widow?
Look up 57 Chevy Black Widow on Yahoo. The facts are all right there!

Very nice 150.....I remember as a kid....I always liked the 150's....everybody else wanted a Bel-Air....now, years later the 150 is a treasure!

but they don't beat a bel air
NathanH1313 4 years ago
I don't agree - of course this is all a matter of opinion, but the BelAir looks cluttered (and a bit more common) - I like the clean 150 trim.
