You can really see how upset Matt is by what happened to her--he has to steel himself to walk into the room, and then later on, he can't bring himself to watch the video.
@HogwartsCastle here it is more unfair, because a man attacked wouldn't have to declare that "he didn't want it" --, but I guess if the attacker was female he might. But in this case, we have an officer of the law going undercover to catch a criminal-- and like you I agree that she was foolish to go in without backup, or maybe have them send in a police-woman to catch him. And it was personal because of what this Doctor did to her friend.
What irks me is this-- showing how double standards reigns supreme-- if she went undercover and he was a drug dealer or kidnapper-- and he beat or shot her and she survived and fingered him-- there would have no question that he assualted her. If it had been Matt going rogue undercover and he got raped by a drug dealer, they would not question the matter of assualt. But she's a woman; so there is a question.
@HogwartsCastle Why would a DA or cop go back to exclusive club where he knows the owners are selling drugs or involved in slavery and sexual exploitation? To catch a criminal. Where she makes her mistake is not getting her colleagues to provide back up or tell them what she was trying to do--although she might not have known he was giving his patients the date rape drug-still back up. Not the time to play single crusader.
@HogwartsCastle I don't know what you mean; Daniels is in a long time committed relationship, so no matter how good he looks, he's no more accessible to me as Brad Pitt, and no more or less a "waste" than any other good looking actor in a relationship or other wise unavailable. Feel grateful that his partner allows us to look.
