  • For me, their best album was Victims of Deception. Such a classic balls out metal album. The guitar work was awesome! They dont make it like that anymore. :-/

  • would prefer the original Saxon's version anytime.. can't seem to knock Biff's voice when listening to this.. bt anyhow awesome guitar solos...

  • Ah, a classic. I haven't seen this in many years.

Gotta love the bassist's face during his fill at 3:13 and the end solo at 3:21 LOL.

  • What bass is that? I really want to know

  • Oh HEATHEN, fucking GODS!

I love them, have every album of them!

But for some reason they are very underrated, i have absolutely no idea why.

In my opinion, one of the biggest bands ever!

  • heathen is so fucking good , why are they so much underated ?

  • So fucking great!!!! Thanx for upload!

  • the best cover"

  • GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYS

  • Kinda sounds like Judas Priest.

  • drummer he need moore exercise! :O

  • good version

  • Loved this tune back in the day. Kinda Anthrax/Maiden style. Very good to find it here.

  • Damn good cover if you ask me. Heavy metal is like wanking in public but some people don't care anyway..

  • Wow I hadn't seen this vid in ages, trippy to see my old bro Yaz in it...RIP Mike.

  • para covers de heathen, mi favorito es Kill the king

  • The voce harmonies almost sound a little like "The Sweet".This is week

  • this song forever ruined heathen for me

  • @StIdes811 Why let one song ruin a band for you, thats just plain stupid.

  • @AliceinChains56

Seriously dude...So true...To many people wear fucking Horse Blinders all the Damn time...LOL

  • @AliceinChains56 Seriously dude...Absolutely true...To many retards that listen to music, wear fucking horse blinders...I believe most people don't even deserve to listen to music...

  • drummer hits the hi hats like a rookie.. drummer sounds like shit..!

  • Vocalist looks like Will Ferrel :D

  • @666Hypocrisy666 now this guy is bald

  • very untypically for heathen! :)

  • SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE PUSSY SWEET VERSION!!!!

  • @BADSKP nothing is better than original .... kid .. -,-

  • @BADSKP Bullshit dog...you better check out this live version first by the Sweet and then tell me which is more bad ass. Search it because it doesn't let me paste the url here. It is the one lifted from a tv show.

  • LONG LIVE YAZ

  • que loquera de vdo, que chiiimba!

  • love this video !!

  • Greatness, but I think "Goblin'd Blade" has it beat.

  • I really love the original song, this cover is so good... but... why.. WHY.. they released this song as single and video?

They should have release Open The Grave as single and video!!!

  • What's the original song ? this one is awesome !

  • @frenchienofrog it's by the sweet, off the fanny adams album

  • greatness!

  • fantastic cover nice guitar work :)

  • Man this brings back old memories.....great stuff

  • not as good as the sweet one

  • doidera

  • i buyed all 3 heathen albums, and all 3 are fucking awesome!!!

  • Saxon's cover is also cooool! =)

  • BET LEE ALTUS IS GLAD EXODUS CALLED HIS ASS

  • awesome

  • I actually like this version better than Sweet's original.

  • @WetWalnuts Way better

  • Sweet's version is still the best, though.

  • Bad ass cover!

  • this dde sonds like joe belladonna of anthrax

  • @danzigfan92 interesting point. I never thought of it really...he sort of does, but I think more like the singer from Krokus.

  • I first heard this version, before the original. Sweets version is much better!

  • @hobbit151 The only version i knew of was Saxon's from their Crusader album. I assumed it was their own original. Silly me

  • @Warthogfan < nah I like Saxon too, but the original is done by the sweet

  • very good!!!!!!

  • \m/ (- -) \m/

  • The Original by the Sweet is so much better.

  • @SurfStefGoldCoast originals usualy are, but this is a great kick ass version

  • this is real metal when people knew how to play their instruments

  • This is one of the few Sweet covers that actually rivals the original.

Krokus' version of Ballroom Blitz? Keep it.

Heathen actually kept fairly true to original while punching up the heaviness and adding their own flare without altering the awesomeness of Sweet's original music. Just wish this vid didn't clip off at the end.

  • 3:07 is it Phil Demmel on the left?

  • @pwnzerleet yeah it's phil... lml

  • This song is SOOOOOOO cool! Hail Heathen!

  • Where is Lee Altus?

  • @PanterAmetal100 On the far right.

  • fuck you GAY RAPE SHIT all you should burn in the pit of hell!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What a great song!

    Thanks for uploading.

  • 03:15 xD

  • there is a HEATHEN demo w/Paul Baloff singing it rules

  • F*CK YEAH!!!

  • 80's thrash metal with a 70's feel and funk

  • It's rare you'll find a thrash band covering a glam band, but this actually worked out well.

  • This is a cover of The Sweet, not Saxon. Very good cover.

  • SET ME FREE!!! DEMASSACRE!!!

  • I know their different, but sounds like original Judas Priest, not that Judas Priest was the best at all..

  • BRUTALLLLLLLLL

  • olde but goody

  • I'll always love the good old 80's, the music was so real and well played and Heathen still is an old time and new time great band, one of my favs and this cover is so beautiful!

  • this is a cover of saxon!

  • @marshallEVH Not really... Saxon covered this song from 70s hard band "Sweet", from "Sweet Fanny Adams" album. The original is awesome, with great high pitch vocals and backings. However, Saxon version really kicked some serious ass!! They knew how to play a good cover and make them sound like theirs, as they did very well with "Ride like the wind", originally form Christopher Cross.

    Metal regards!

    Arthur Migotto & Hazy Hamlet

    "Heating valves since 1999!"

  • @hazyhamlet thank you for the information :)

  • temazoooooooooooooo!

  • heathen rules!!!!

  • {[[ :> (0

  • Vince Neil's version is good as well.

  • This album was produced by Ronnie Montrose-

  • This version is good but the original is better..drums mainly. Mick Tucker was a much better drummer than this guy

  • The Original by the sweet is the best! lol

  • Saxons version is WAY better then this!!!!

  • @Alhambrattp Yeah, it is...

  • @yourmom468 Are you saying that the Heathen version is sweet, or telling me that the original song is by the band Sweet?

  • heathen eres lo maximo,te doy 5 estrellas.

  • They do a pretty fair job, but the vocals are kind of weak. Saxon's version is better.

  • man they look so like old-school bay area thrashers !!!!

  • @xDIStructorx....Yep. Paul Baloff did vocals for Heathen for a bit, and Lee Altus, Heathen's guitarist, was a part of Exodus for a while.

    O-G Bay Area Bashers

    \m/

  • @cadelk87

Lee IS a part of Exodus.

  • i like it

  • this is the perfect example of a metal tune straight up to the point no labels no sub-genres and all that JUST METAL HAIL LEE ALTUS _EXODUS

  • It´s a Jackson King V I guess.

  • which guitar does the guitarist play (flying V) ?

  • Ah, didn't know that...Hehe

  • how does the voice sound glam??!!!! wtf

  • I always thought this is the original, a world just gots destroyed

  • WHO IS THIS GUY????

  • Heathen, Bay Area Thrash from the 80's. Breaking the Silence is their debut, and one of the best metal albums ever released. This song is great, but it's the weakest song on the album. Breaking the Silence is as much of a masterpiece as any thrash album you could mention. Lee Altus is a great guitar player.

  • Not bad,but I like the original better...Sweet were way ahead of their time and an inspiration to hard/metal bands

  • fantastic cover

    great voice !

  • KICKS ASS!

  • I need this video, damn, I still have the tape ,casset of this album breaking the silence. when tapes were cool to have.

  • at 3:07 he''s a Vio-lence member....

    It's Troy Fua

  • I love heathen but Saxon does an outstanding job of this one!!

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah.......But Sweet has this song under their wings.

  • efe

  • I got the tape in 1987 before watching this video on MTV.

All I remember was debating wether it was worth buying it or not.

I am gonna get the CD asap

  • Why can't Heathen make a comeback?

Heathen with two good albums is better that Anvil with 13 albums wich most metal fans would only remember their Metal on Metal album.

  • Heathen had played last year at Thrasho in L.A.

  • Heathen's back dude. Right now they're touring with Exodus, Testament, and Kreator. They plan to release their new album,The Evolution of Chaos, in 2009.

  • i didnt mind vince neil and steve stevens version of this tune

  • Very Cool Tune !!! 5 Explosive Stars !!!

  • Classic trash from the good old days

  • shame you cant spell 'thrash' properly.

    MUPPET!

  • OMG! I am getting old!

  • OHOHOH set me freee ... great thrash metal band. ... ]

    ]

  • Trivia note : The guitar that Doug is building in this video is now hanging in Thean's basement

  • this is awesome!

  • Nice try... but this is nothing compared to the original version by the migty SWEET!

  • paul baloff used to be in this band. That must have been weird.

  • no he wasn't, he done a demo with 2 songs and let me tell you, it was the heaviest shit I've heard.

  • thanks for the tip, i didn't know there was a demo

  • awesome, kinda cheesy tho. and why do ppl say theyre a speed metl bnd? doug and lee hav clearly stated they arnt, just plain FUCKIN METAL!!

  • This band is so underrated, but they're playing really cool

  • yes.

    Lee Atlus

Fucking Heathen, Fucking Exodus, Fucking KILLER.
