it must have took the whole day before you even completed the flight. I have microsoft flight simulator x (deluxe edition) i haven't even flew more than 5 hours in going to one place. the farthest places i only been to was bangkok and singapore. all from the philippines.

nice video but it would look better with either turning down your graphics or buying a new vid card. Frame rates are very important. if you have a SLi or Crossfire capable video card, I would suggest doing it. Sli is for GeForce cards and Crossfire is for Radeons BTW. Its basically putting two cards that are the same together. Your Motherboard has to be made for it and it really helps older cards last longer when 2 work together my 9600 GT cards are better then new single vid cards

@sadalite thanks, but this video was made on a 2007 laptop with an integrated graphics card, so fps would not have been great even at lowest settings. My newer videos, however, do have better fps.

when i get to my cruising altitude my auto pilot dosent fix the trim so that the plane is level and my planes nose trim is up to about 1 degrees what do i do?

@tripletriple2010 if your plane is up 1 degrees, it should not be a significant problem as long as you are not stalling. also, to lower the nose at cruise, the best thing to do is to increase your speed slightly.

@4500intelx although your graphics card may be better than mine, your processor (intel atom D410) is much worse. Your processor is part of the "atom" series, a group of intel processors that are specifically designed for small size and small power consumption at the cost of performance. Also, the processor only has one core, while mine has 2 cores, and that one core is clocked at only 1.67 ghz, lower than my 1.9 ghz. FSX is a very CPU demanding game, so your CPU just can't handle FSX.

@4500intelx Also, 1 GB of RAM will only suffice as minimal to run FSX. It is true that your graphics card can run the latest games, but even so, those games will only run best on medium to low settings. For FSX, a decent graphics card alone will not be able to run the game, especially when the processor is much lower.

Very long flight indeed. Do you still flightsim? I know this is an old upload and that 747 is an old one. I noticed that u take-off with the wrong flaps and landed with no reverse thrusts. I'm new to this game so I need pointers. TIA

@kaylaks I still flightsim, but I just don't have time to do it as often. This 747 is not old, it's just the default model using a different paint. The flaps are correct since it is at 15 degrees at takeoff, and the problem with reverse thrust on default models is that it makes the plane slow down too quickly, so it becomes unnecessary since I can slow to below 30 knots before the first taxiway.

Time rate changed? It did not alter fule consumption? I did a Dubai to Hong Kong w/c is, accrdng to FMC (Wilco a330-300), an 8HR flight. when I changed the time rate, I depleted my fuel. No choice but to land on a farm. Hahaha...

@kaylaks the fuel is burned proportional to the sim rate, so it would run out faster if the game is going faster. in order to make a long flight like this, you would need to fill the tank almost to the maximum.

@Musicguy421 Ow... Really? There must be something wrong with my series, then. Haha. The Airbus was @FL250 w/ cruise speed of 420 and the N1 and N2 at 12o'clock and had a 5 or 7 deg nose up. When I change time rate, the plane goes up and down (+ & - lift) --->+1000 alt and -1000 alt just to maintain FL250. The Ns go 11 and 2 o'clock and I think it's the cause of fuel depletion. Just so weird. Now I play at normal speed. I take off, autopilot, sleep, wakeup, land. Hahaha

@kaylaks i used to have a similar problem too. i don't know what caused the problem since the plane is much more in control at normal speed. probably the game's autopilot is unable to control the plane at such as fast rate.

@Carter106able that is because I base the departure and arrival on local time. On a typical transcontinental flight across the pacific, the plane crosses the International Date Line, which forwards 1 day when flying westward, and backs 1 day when flying eastward.

it actually is quite normal for a plane to pitch up a little at a certain altitude. usually, the easiest way to prevent the nose from tilting up too much is by flying at a higher speed. for example, your nose would pitch up much more if you were flying at 250 knots at FL370
