Kewl I have the same amp but I always keep it on overdrive with bass 10 mid 2 treble 7-10 depnds how much distortion I want and gain inbetween 5-6 while the volume is around 2-3

I don't know if it's the amp or guitar but when I try to play a song using the high 3 strings E B and G it sounds all scratchy n bad like for solos it's good but for strums it's like a cat gettin ra*ed

Read some posts earlier^^ no there is no input for any Footswitch BUT! you can plug a effect pedal between your guitar and the amp ;) try that

press the white button it will give u the distortion i have the same amp. i get my metal sound with treble 10 mid 3-4 bas 2-3 and volume 2 or what ever floats ur boat:P

and turn up the bass, cut the mid, and make the treble really low... gives you a REALLY heavy sound

USE GAAAAAAAIIIINNN, push the white button, and set the gain to about 6 or 7 fiddle with the tone on you're guitar and the amp a bit to get the sound you want by ear... but most importantly, USEEEE GAAAIIIINNN lol

Hey, do you think if will sound fine if i add a boss ds-1 distortion pedal and leave the amp in a clean channel using the distortion on the pedal only?

This amp hasn't any inputs for footpedals, so u have to buy a pedal like the boss ds-1 if u want to switch clean to distortion by foot ;)

you just need 2 cords... hook the 1st one into the input spot in the amp and the output spot of the pedal. hook the 2nd into the input slot of the pedal and the guitar... works perfect, PLUS this is how its always been done... no fancy line 6 hookups and stuff

no... in the clean channel it gets insanely loud (atleast on the SD1 and the DS1 should make it louder because ot drives it harder)... play it on the drive channel without gain and itll be great but in the clean channel youll probably damage the amp

@asheyu. If you want a heavy metal type of sound just turn bass treble and mid to 10 and press the ch select button and turn the gain to 10 and the volume on the left and that should leave you with a heavy metal tone.

sorry ment the volume in the right, dont turn to high! only if your on stage i suggest a begginger volume to be like 2 and a half thats pretty loud in a room.

turn on the channel select thingy and turn both the gain and volume down to 1 and slowly turn it back up until u get to the volume u want. the distortion on this isnt that greet though
