I use corel videostudio pro X2 and yes I suppose its a hobby now that I am retired. I am A retired railroader and its one thing I am an expert at, so why not make videos of what I know about LOL I do make other types of videos as well Thanks for watching
How often to you guys go out to the Borden plant on Hwy 362? I always like to see trains on the old Griffin-Williamson-Columbus line. And BTW anybody have any video of the old Williamson-FT Valley line?
They go out to Borden 2 or 3 times a week. it depend on when Borden calls for a switch. I doubt videos were invented yet when that line was running LOL
I was the conductor on this train. I tend to talk fast on track authoritys and once you have done it enought times it comes natural. That night if i can remember got down to the lower 30s upper 20s. And i didnt want the unit to frezee. I am from Indiana.
Thanks David, I appreciate the comment. It;s always good to hear from brother railroaders, I heard you on my scanner when I was in town, so I went to the yard to watch you by
your welcome and sorry i didn't watch the whole thing at first but the 900 to like 999 is work i thought it was the ocs but even better its one of the most interesting trains to me the welded rail train
OHHHH A light just came on LOL Dindnt know I missed an OCS. Last one that I knew about came this way but turned around and went back before getting to my area
I'm starting to get interested watching your Engine videos but How do you operate one my step brother is about to go work for CSX but he has to go to training first in Atlanta for saftey classes.
Walt, listening to all that jabber on your radio reminds me of my CB radio days listening to skip coming in from the states. the last bit on the radio made me laugh so hard I all most fell off my chair.
He says just wanted to let you know it wasn't running! supposed to be cold tonight LOL Georgia! cold! hahahahaha
I guess that engineer don't go very far north does he? hehehehe
LOL< Wayne I would imagine it does seem funny to a northerner, It did get cold last night. It was our first freeze of the year. The engineer or conductor who was talking was following company policy. If it's going to freeze leave them running. It can be quite difficult to start a cold locomotive the next day. Thanks Wayne
Thanks! I was able to understand the final conversation. How does the track authority actually work? Do they enter codes they are given into a piece of kit? Cheers! - Mike
Thanks Mike, They were handing out track warrants between the dispatcher and the train. This is not automatic tracks, so its the way the railroads controls where the trains are. Thanks for watching mike

The operating part is fairly simple, The experiance and knowledge required to operate it safely however takes years to accomplish.

They are getting their track authority to proceed down that portion of track. At the end, they were reporting engines that were not idling.
